1 Oo taas dabadeed ayaa Daa'uud reer Falastiin laayay, oo jebiyey, oo Daa'uudna wuxuu gacantii reer Falastiin ka qaaday magaalada la yidhaahdo Meteg Ammaah.
And it came about after this that David made an attack on the Philistines and overcame them; and David took the authority of the mother-town from the hands of the Philistines.
2 Oo wuxuu kaloo laayay reer Moo'aab, oo intuu dhulka jiifiyey ayuu xadhig ku qiyaasay, oo markaasuu laba xadhig wuxuu u qiyaasay in la dilo, xadhig buuxana wuu la hadhay iyagoo nool. Oo reer Moo'aabna addoommay Daa'uud u noqdeen, oo baad bay u keeneen.
And he overcame the Moabites, and he had them measured with a line when they were stretched out on the earth; marking out two lines for death and one full line for life. So the Moabites became servants to David and gave him offerings.
3 Daa'uudna wuxuu kaloo dilay boqorkii Soobaah, oo ahaa Hadadceser ina Rexob, intuu ku socday inuu dowladnimadiisii ku soo ceshado Webiga agtiisa.
And David overcame Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to make his power seen by the River.
4 Oo Daa'uud wuxuu isagii ka qabsaday kun iyo toddoba boqol oo fardooley ah, iyo labaatan kun oo nin oo lug ah; oo Daa'uudna wuxuu boqno jaray fardihii gaadhiyada waday oo dhan, laakiinse iyagii boqol gaadhifaras buu uga reebay.
And David took from him one thousand, seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand footmen: and David had the leg-muscles of the horses cut, only keeping enough of them for a hundred war-carriages.
5 Oo reer Suuriyihii Dimishaqna markay u yimaadeen inay u hiiliyaan boqorkii Soobaah oo ahaa Hadadceser, Daa'uud wuxuu reer Suuriya ka laayay laba iyo labaatan kun oo nin.
And when the Aramaeans of Damascus came to the help of Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David put to the sword twenty-two thousand of the Aramaeans.
6 Daa'uudna wuxuu reer Dimishaq oo Suuriya jooga dhex dhigay rugo askareed, oo reer Suuriyana Daa'uud bay addoommo u noqdeen oo baad u keeneen. Oo Rabbiguna Daa'uud guul buu siiyey meel kastoo uu tegeyba.
And David put armed forces in Aram of Damascus: and the Aramaeans became servants to David and gave him offerings. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
7 Markaasaa Daa'uud soo qaaday gaashaammadii dahabka ahaa oo ay wateen addoommadii Hadadceser, wuxuuna keenay Yeruusaalem.
And David took their gold body-covers from the servants of Hadadezer and took them to Jerusalem.
8 Oo magaalooyinkii Hadadceser oo ahaa Betax, iyo Beerootay Boqor Daa'uud wuxuu ka soo qaaday naxaas aad iyo aad u badan.
And from Tebah and Berothai, towns of Hadadezer, King David took a great store of brass.
9 Oo Tocii oo ahaa boqorkii Xamaad markuu maqlay in Daa'uud laayay ciidankii Hadadceser oo dhan,
And when Tou, king of Hamath, had news that David had overcome all the army of Hadadezer,
10 ayaa Tocii wiilkiisii Yooraam u soo diray inuu soo salaamo Boqor Daa'uud oo uu u soo duceeyo, maxaa yeelay, wuxuu la diriray oo dilay Hadadceser; waayo, Hadadceser wuxuu la diriri jiray Tocii. Oo Yooraamna wuxuu keenay weelal lacag ah, iyo weelal dahab ah iyo weelal naxaas ah,
He sent his son Hadoram to David, with words of peace and blessing, because he had overcome Hadadezer in the fight, for Hadadezer had wars with Tou; and Hadoram took with him vessels of silver and gold and brass:
11 oo kuwaasna Boqor Daa'uud wuxuu quduus uga dhigay Rabbiga, oo wuxuu ku daray lacagtii iyo dahabkii uu quduuska ka dhigay oo uu ka soo dhacay quruumihii uu jebiyey oo dhan;
These King David made holy to the Lord, together with the silver and gold which he had taken from the nations he had overcome —
12 kuwaas oo ahaa reer Suuriya, iyo reer Moo'aab, iyo reer Cammoon, iyo reer Falastiin, iyo reer Camaaleq, iyo dhicii uu boqorkii Soobaah oo ahaa Hadadceser ina Rexob ka helay.
The nations of Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon and the Philistines and the Amalekites and the goods he had taken from Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 Oo Daa'uudna magac buu isu yeelay markuu ka soo noqday layntii uu reer Suuriya Dooxadii Cusbada kaga laayay siddeed iyo tobanka kun oo nin.
And David got great honour for himself, when he came back, by the destruction of Edom in the valley of Salt, to the number of eighteen thousand men.
14 Oo wuxuu Edom dhex dhigay rugo askareed; oo Edom oo dhanna wuxuu dhex dhigay rugo askareed, oo reer Edom oo dhammuna Daa'uud bay addoommo u noqdeen. Oo Rabbiguna Daa'uud guul buu siiyey meel kastoo uu tegeyba.
And he put armed forces in Edom; all through Edom he had armed forces stationed, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord made David overcome wherever he went.
15 Oo Daa'uudna reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan buu u taliyey; oo Daa'uud wuxuu dadkiisii oo dhan ugu gar qaybshay xukun iyo caddaalad.
And David was king over all Israel, judging and giving right decisions for all his people.
16 Oo waxaa ciidanka u sarrayn jiray Yoo'aab oo ay Seruuyaah dhashay; oo taariikhdana waxaa qori jiray Yehooshaafaad ina Axiiluud,
And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the army; and Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, was keeper of the records;
17 oo wadaaddona waxaa ahaa Saadooq ina Axiituub, iyo Axiimeleg ina Aabyaataar, oo Seraayaahna wuxuu ahaa karraani;
And Zadok and Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, were priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;
18 Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaacna wuxuu u taliyey reer Kereetiim iyo reer Feleetii, oo Daa'uud wiilashiisuna waxay ahaayeen wasiiro.
And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were priests.
