< Samuu'Eel Labaad 3 >
1 Haddaba waxaa jiray dagaal dheer oo dhex maray reer Saa'uul iyo reer Daa'uud; oo Daa'uudna waa sii xoog badnaanayay, laakiinse reer Saa'uul way sii xoog yaraanayeen.
And the war between the house of Saul and the house of David was prolonged, —and, David, waxed stronger and stronger, and, the house of Saul, became weaker and weaker.
2 Oo Daa'uudna wiilal baa ugu dhashay Xebroon. Curadkiisu wuxuu ahaa Amnoon, oo waxaa dhashay Axiinocam tii reer Yesreceel.
And there were born unto David, sons, in Hebron, —and it came to press that—His firstborn was Amnon, by Ahinoam, the Jezreelitess;
3 Wiilkiisii labaadna wuxuu ahaa Kile'aab, oo waxaa dhashay Abiigayil oo u dhaxday Naabaal kii reer Karmel. Kan saddexaadna wuxuu ahaa Absaaloom oo waxaa dhashay Macakaah oo ahayd boqorkii Geshuur oo Talmay ahaa gabadhiisii.
And his second Chileab, by Abigail, wife of Nabal the Carmelite, And the third Absolom, son of Maachah, daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur;
4 Kan afraadna wuxuu ahaa Adoniiyaah oo waxaa dhashay Xaggiid. Kan shanaadna wuxuu ahaa Shefatyaah oo waxaa dhashay Abiital.
And the fourth Adonijah, son of Higgith, —And the fifth Shephatiah, son of Abital;
5 Kan lixaadna wuxuu ahaa Yitrecaam, oo waxaa dhashay Ceglaah oo Daa'uud u dhaxday. Intaasu waxay Daa'uud ugu dhasheen Xebroon.
And the sixth Ithream, by Eglah wife of David. These, were born unto David, in Hebron.
6 Intii ay reer Saa'uul iyo reer Daa'uud dagaallamayeen ayaa Abneer aad ugu xoogaystay reerkii Saa'uul.
And it came to pass, while the war continued between the house of Saul and the house of David, that, Abner, shewed himself courageous for the house of Saul.
7 Haddaba Saa'uul wuxuu lahaa naag addoon ah oo magaceedana la odhan jiray Risfaah, waxayna ahayd ina Ayah; oo Iishboshed wuxuu Abneer ku yidhi, War maxaad ugu tagtay addoontii aabbahay?
Now, Saul, had a concubine, whose name, was Rizpah daughter of Aiah, —and [Ish-bosheth] said unto Abner, Why, wentest thou in, unto my father’s concubine?
8 Markaasaa Abneer aad ugu cadhooday erayadii Iishboshed, oo wuxuu yidhi, Anigu ma waxaan ahay madax eey oo reer Yahuudah leeyihiin? Bal maanta raxmad baan tusayaa reerkii aabbahaa Saa'uul, iyo walaalihiis, iyo saaxiibbadiis, oo adigana kuuma aan gacangelin Daa'uud, oo weliba maanta waxaad igu eedaynaysaa wax ku saabsan naagtan.
And it provoked Abner greatly, on account of the words of Ish-bosheth, and he said—Am I, the head of the dogs, that pertain unto Judah? To-day, would I deal in lovingkindness with the house of Saul thy father, towards his brethren, and towards his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, —and yet thou hast charged upon me the transgression of the woman, today.
9 Haddaba sidii Rabbigu ugu dhaartay Daa'uud, Ilaah saas iyo si ka sii badanba anoo Abneer ah, ha igu sameeyo haddaanan saas oo kale isaga ku samayn,
So, may God do unto Abner, and, so, may he add to him, —if, as Yahweh hath sworn unto David, even so, I deal not with him;
10 taasoo ah inaan boqortooyada ka wareejiyo reer Saa'uul, iyo inaan carshiga Daa'uud u qotomiyo reer binu Israa'iil iyo reer binu Yahuudah, iyo tan iyo Daan iyo ilaa Bi'ir Shebac.
by turning over the kingdom from the house of Saul, —and establishing the throne of David, over Israel and over Judah, from Dan, even unto Beer-sheba.
11 Oo isna eray dambe wuu ugu jawaabi waayay Abneer, maxaa yeelay, wuu ka cabsanayay.
And he could no further answer Abner, a word, —because he feared him.
12 Markaasaa Abneer wuxuu Daa'uud u soo diray wargeeyayaal magiciisa ku hadlaya, oo leh, War dhulka yaa leh? Oo wuxuu kaloo ku yidhi, Heshiis ila dhigo, anna gacan baan ku siinayaa, inaan kuu soo wada jeediyo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan.
So Abner sent messengers unto David, on the spot, saying—Whose, is the land? Saying [also] —Solemnise thy covenant with me; and lo! my hand, shall be with thee, to bring round unto thee, all Israel.
13 Markaasuu yidhi, Waa hagaag; heshiis baan kula dhiganayaa, laakiinse wax baan kaa doonayaa, taasuna waxaa weeyaan, markaad ii timaadid waa inaadan i hor iman adoo marka hore Miikaal oo ah ina Saa'uul i soo hor taaga mooyaane.
And he said—Good! I, will solemnise with thee a covenant, —but, one thing, must I ask of thee, saying—Thou shalt not see my face, except thou have brought in Michal, Saul’s daughter, when thou comest to see my face.
14 Oo Daa'uudna wargeeyayaal buu u diray Iishboshed oo ahaa ina Saa'uul, isagoo leh, Ii keen naagtaydii Miikaal, oo aan ku guursaday boqol buuryo oo reer Falastiin.
And David sent messengers unto Ish-bosheth son of Saul, saying, —Give up my wife, Michal, whom I espoused to myself, for a hundred foreskins of Philistines.
15 Markaasaa Iishboshed rag u diray oo iyadii ka soo kexeeyey ninkeedii, kaasoo ahaa Faltii'eel ina Layish.
So Ish-bosheth sent and took her from her husband, —from Paltiel, son of Laish.
16 Markaasaa ninkeedii soo raacay iyadii, isagoo ooyaya intuu socday oo dhan, oo wuxuu iyadii daba socday tan iyo Baxuuriim. Markaasaa Abneer ku yidhi, War orod, oo iska noqo. Kolkaasuu iska noqday.
And her husband went along with her, weeping as he went behind her, as far as Behurim, —when Abner said unto him—Go, return. And he returned.
17 Oo Abneerna wuxuu la arrinsaday odayaashii reer binu Israa'iil, oo ku yidhi, Waa hore waxaad doonayseen in Daa'uud boqor idiin noqdo.
Then had Abner, speech, with the elders of Israel, saying, —In times past, ye were seeking David, to be king over you.
18 Haddaba haatan sidii yeela, waayo, Rabbigu Daa'uud buu ka hadlay, oo yidhi, Addoonkayga Daa'uud gacantiisa ayaan dadkayga reer binu Israa'iil kaga badbaadin doonaa gacanta reer Falastiin iyo gacanta cadaawayaashooda oo dhanba.
Now, therefore, act, —for Yahweh, spake unto David, saying, By the hand of David my servant, will I save my people Israel, out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
19 Oo Abneer wuxuu kaloo la hadlay reer Benyaamiin; oo weliba Abneer wuxuu Daa'uud ugu yimid Xebroon si uu ugu sheego waxa la wanaagsan reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan, iyo reer Benyaamiin oo dhanba.
And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin, —and Abner also went to speak in the ears of David, in Hebron, all that was pleasing in the eyes of Israel, and in the eyes of all the house of Benjamin.
20 Saas aawadeed Abneer wuxuu Daa'uud ugu yimid Xebroon, labaatan nin baana la socday. Oo Daa'uudna diyaafad ayuu Abneer iyo raggii la socdayba u sameeyey.
So, when Abner came in unto David, in Hebron, and, with him, twenty men, David made, for Abner, and for the men who were with him, a banquet.
21 Markaasaa Abneer Daa'uud ku yidhi, Anigu waan kacayaa, waanan tegayaa, oo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhanna waan kuu soo wada ururin doonaa, boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, inay axdi kula dhigtaan oo adna aad xukuntid in alla intii naftaadu doonayso. Markaasaa Daa'uud Abneer iska diray; oo isna nabad buu ku tegey.
Then said Abner unto David—I will verily arise and go, and gather together unto my lord the king, all Israel—that they may solemnise with thee a covenant, so shalt thou reign over all that thy soul desireth. And David let Abner go, and he departed in peace.
22 Oo bal eeg, Daa'uud addoommadiisii iyo Yoo'aabba waxay ka yimaadeen duulaan, iyagoo dhac badan wada, laakiinse Abneer Daa'uud lama joogin Xebroon, waayo, wuu iska diray, oo isna nabad buu ku tegey.
And lo! the servants of David, and Joab, came in from a raid, and, great spoil, brought they in with them; but, Abner, was not with David in Hebron, for he had let him go, and he had departed in peace.
23 Oo markii Yoo'aab iyo ciidankii la jiray oo dhammu ay yimaadeen waxaa Yoo'aab loo sheegay, oo lagu yidhi, Waxaa boqorka u yimid Abneer ina Neer, oo isna wuu iska diray, markaasuu nabad ku tegey.
When, Joab, and all the host that was with him, had come in, then told they Joab, saying, Abner son of Ner hath been in unto the king, and he hath let him go, and he hath departed in peace.
24 Markaasaa Yoo'aab boqorkii u yimid, oo ku yidhi, Maxaad samaysay? Bal eeg, Abneer baa kuu yimid, maxaad u dirtay oo uu u tegey?
Then Joab came in unto the king, and said—What hast thou done? Lo! Abner came in unto thee. Wherefore is it that thou didst let him go, so that he is clean departed?
25 Abneer oo ah ina Neer waad garanaysaa inuu kuugu yimid inuu ku khiyaaneeyo, iyo inuu ogaado bixiddaada iyo soo geliddaada, iyo weliba inuu sii ogaado waxaad samaysid oo dhanba.
Thou knowest Abner son of Ner, that, to deceive thee, he came, —and to take knowledge of thy going out, and thy coming in, and to take knowledge of all that thou art doing.
26 Yoo'aabna markuu Daa'uud ka soo baxay ayuu rag ka daba diray Abneer, oo waxay ka soo celiyeen ceelkii Siraah, laakiinse taas Daa'uud ma ogayn.
And, when Joab had come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, and brought him back from the well of Sirah, —but, David, knew it not.
27 Oo markuu Abneer ku soo noqday Xebroon ayaa Yoo'aab gees ula baxay oo iridda la dhex galay si uu ula faqo, markaasuu caloosha ka dooxay si uu u dhinto, maxaa yeelay, dhiiggii walaalkiis Casaaheel ayuu daadshay.
So Abner returned to Hebron, and Joab took him aside into the midst of the gate, to speak with him quietly, —and then smote him there, in the belly, that he died, for the blood of Asahel the brother of Joab.
28 Dabadeedna markuu Daa'uud taas maqlay ayuu yidhi, Aniga iyo boqortooyadayda midna eed kuma lahayn Rabbiga hortiisa xagga dhiigga Abneer ina Neer.
And, when David heard of it, after that, he said—Guiltless, am I and my kingdom before Yahweh, unto times age-abiding, —of the blood of Abner son of Ner.
29 Yoo'aab madaxiisa ha saarnaado, iyo reerka aabbihiis, oo reer Yoo'aabna yaan laga waayin mid cudur dheecaan leh qaba, iyo mid baras qaba, iyo mid ul ku tukubaya, iyo mid seef lagu dilo, ama mid cunto la'.
Let it be hurled upon the head of Joab, and against all his father’s house, —and let there not fail from the house of Joab—one that hath an issue, or a leper, or one that leaneth on a crutch, or that falleth by the sword, or that lacketh bread.
30 Sidaasay Yoo'aab iyo walaalkiis Abiishay u dileen Abneer, maxaa yeelay, wuxuu walaalkood Casaaheel ku dilay dagaalkii Gibecoon.
Thus, Joab and Abishai his brother, slew Abner, —because he had caused the death of Asahel their brother, in Gibeon, in the battle.
31 Markaasaa Daa'uud wuxuu ku yidhi Yoo'aab iyo dadkii isaga la jiray oo dhan, Dharkiinna jeexjeexa oo dhar joonyad ah guntada, oo Abneer hortiisa ku baroorta. Oo Boqor Daa'uudna wuxuu raacay naxashkii.
And David said unto Joab, and unto all the people who were with him, —Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and lament aloud before Abner. And, King David himself, was following the bier.
32 Oo Abneer waxaa lagu aasay Xebroon, boqorkiina codkiisii kor buu u qaaday, oo qabrigii Abneer ku dul ooyay; oo dadkii oo dhammuna way wada ooyeen.
And they buried Abner in Hebron, —and the king lifted up his voice and wept, at the grave of Abner, and all the people wept.
33 Oo boqorkiina wuxuu u baroortay Abneer, oo yidhi, Miyey habboon tahay in Abneer u dhinto sida nacas u dhinto oo kale?
And the king addressed his dirge unto Abner, and said, —As a base man dieth, should Abner have died?
34 Gacmahaagu ma xidhnayn, cagahaaguna ma dabranayn, Sida nin ugu dhaco dad dembi leh hortooda ayaad u dhacday. Markaasaa dadkii oo dhammu mar kale u ooyay isagii.
Thy hands, were not bound, And, thy feet, near to fetters, were not brought, As one falleth before assassins, so didst thou fall! And again all the people wept over him.
35 Markaasay dadkii oo dhammu yimaadeen oo damceen inay Daa'uud wax cunsiiyaan intii ay maalinnimada ahayd; laakiinse Daa'uud wuu dhaartay, oo yidhi, Ilaah taasoo kale ha igu sameeyo, iyo weliba tu ka sii badan, haddaan kibis dhadhansho, iyo wax kale toona, ilaa ay qorraxdu dhacdo.
And, when all the people came near to get David to eat bread, while yet it was day, David sware, saying—So, let God do to me, and, so, let him add, if, before the sun go in, I taste bread, or anything else.
36 Markaasaa dadkii oo dhammu taas u fiirsadeen, wayna la wanaagsanayd, oo wax alla wixii boqorku sameeyey ayaa la wanaagsanaa dadkii oo dhan.
And, all the people, took note of it, and it was noble in their eyes, —as, all that the king did, was, in the eyes of all the people, noble.
37 Sidaasay dadkii oo dhan iyo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu maalintaas u garteen inuusan boqorku doonaynin in Abneer oo ahaa ina Neer la dilo.
So then all the people, and all Israel, took note, that day, that it was not of the king, to cause the death of Abner son of Ner.
38 Oo boqorkii wuxuu addoommadiisii ku yidhi, War miyeydnaan ogayn maanta inuu reer binu Israa'iil ku dhex dhintay amiir iyo nin weyn?
And the king said unto his servants, —Will ye not take note that, a prince and a great man, hath fallen this day, in Israel?
39 Oo anigu maanta in kastoo lay boqray, waan taag yarahay; oo nimankan ay Seruuyaah dhashay ayaa iga xoog badan. Kii shar sameeya Rabbigu ha ugu abaalgudo sida sharkiisu yahay.
And, I myself, this day, am weak, though anointed king, but, these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are more severe than I: Yahweh repay, the doer of wickedness, according to his wickedness.
