Samuu'Eel Labaad 16
1 Oo Daa'uud markuu in yar dhaafay jiirta dusheedii waxaa u yimid Siibaa oo ahaa midiidinkii Mefiiboshed, isagoo wada laba dameer oo kooraysan, oo dushoodana waxaa u saarnaa laba boqol oo xabbadood oo kibis ah, iyo boqol rucubood oo sabiib ah, iyo boqol rucubood oo midho xagaa ah, iyo sibraar khamri ah.
Now, David, had passed on but a little from the summit, when lo! Ziba, servant of Mephibosheth, met him, —with a couple of asses saddled, and, upon them, two hundred cakes of bread, and one hundred cakes of raisins, and one hundred summer fruits, and a skin of wine.
2 Markaasaa boqorkii wuxuu Siibaa ku yidhi, War waxyaalahan maxaad ula jeeddaa? Oo Siibaana wuxuu yidhi, Dameeraha waxaan u keenay in boqorka reerkiisu fuulaan; kibista iyo midhahana waxaan u keenay in ragga dhallinyarada ahu cunaan; khamrigana waxaan u keenay in ku alla kii cidlada ku itaal darnaadaa uu cabbo.
And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou, by these? And Ziba said—The asses, are for the king’s household, to ride on, and, the bread and the summer fruits, are for the young men to eat, and, the wine, is for drink to such as are faint in the wilderness.
3 Markaasaa boqorkii ku yidhi, Meeh wiilkii sayidkaagu? Siibaana boqorkii buu ku yidhi, Yeruusaalem buu ku hadhay, oo wuxuu yidhi, Reer binu Israa'iil maantay ii soo celin doonaan boqortooyadii aabbahay.
Then said the king, And where is thy lord’s son? And Ziba said unto the king—Lo! abiding in Jerusalem, for he said, To-day, will the house of Israel, restore unto me, the kingdom of my father.
4 Markaasaa boqorkii wuxuu Siibaa ku yidhi, Bal eeg, Mefiiboshed wixiisa oo dhan adigaa iska leh. Oo Siibaana wuxuu yidhi, Boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, waan ku sujuudayaa hortaada; aan raallinimo kaa helo.
Then said the king unto Ziba, Lo! thine, is all that pertained to Mephibosheth. And Ziba said—I have done homage, that I might find favour in thine eyes, my lord O king.
5 Oo Boqor Daa'uudna markuu Baxuuriim yimid, waxaa ku soo baxay nin ay Saa'uul isku cid ahaayeen, oo magiciisa la odhan jiray Shimcii ina Geeraa. Wuu soo baxay, isagoo habaartamaya intuu soo socday.
And, when King David had come as far as Bahurim, lo! from thence a man coming out, of the family of the house of Saul, whose name, was Shimei son of Gera, coming out and cursing as he came.
6 Oo dhagxan buuna ku tuuray Daa'uud iyo addoommadii Boqor Daa'uud oo dhanba, oo dadkii oo dhan iyo raggii xoogga lahaa oo dhammuna waxay joogeen midigtiisa iyo bidixdiisaba.
And he pelted, with stones, David and all the servants of King David, —all the people, and all the mighty men, being on his right hand and on his left.
7 Oo Shimcii markuu habaartamayay wuxuu lahaa, Naga tag, nin yahow dhiigga qabaa, oo naga tag, nin yahow waxmataraha ihi!
And, thus, said Shimei, when he cursed, —Out! Out! thou man of bloodshed, and man of the Abandoned One!
8 Rabbigu waa ku kor saaray reer Saa'uul dhiiggoodii oo dhan, Saa'uulkaasoo aad meeshiisii xukumayso; oo Rabbigu boqortooyadii gacantuu u geliyey wiilkaaga Absaaloom; oo bal eeg, adiga belaayadaadii baa kula tagtaye, maxaa yeelay, waxaad tahay nin dhiig qaba.
Yahweh, hath brought back upon thee, all the shed-blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned, and Yahweh hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absolom thy son, —and, here thou art, in thy ruin, for that, a man of bloodshed, thou art.
9 Markaasaa Abiishay oo ay Seruuyaah dhashay wuxuu boqorkii ku yidhi, War eeygan dhintay muxuu kuu habaarayaa, boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow? Waan ku baryayaaye, i daa intaan u tago aan madaxa ka gooyee.
Then said Abishai, son of Zeruiah, unto the king—Wherefore should this dead dog curse my lord the king? I pray thee, let me cross over and take off his head.
10 Kolkaasaa boqorkii wuxuu yidhi, Kuwiinna ay Seruuyaah dhashayow, bal maxaa inoo dhexeeya? Hadduu habaartamay, oo Rabbigu ku yidhi, Daa'uud soo habaar, bal yaa ninkan ku odhan kara, War maxaad saas u yeeshay?
But the king said, What have I in common with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? thus, he curseth, because, Yahweh, hath said unto him—Curse David. Who then can say, Why hast thou done thus?
11 Daa'uudna wuxuu ku yidhi Abiishay, iyo addoommadiisii oo dhanba, Bal eega, wiilkaygii iga soo baxay ayaa doonaya inuu nafta iga qaado; haddaba intee in ka badan ayaa ninkan reer Benyaamiin igu samaynayaa? Haddaba ninkan iska daaya, ha iska habaartamee; waayo, Rabbigaa saas ku amray.
Then said David unto Abishai, and unto all his servants, Lo! my own son who sprang from my body, is seeking my life, —then how much more, now, a Benjamite? Let him alone, and let him curse, for, Yahweh, hath permitted him.
12 Mindhaa Rabbigu intuu dhibaatadayda eego ayuu wanaag iigu beddeli doonaa habaarkuu maanta igu habaaray.
It may be, that Yahweh will behold with his eye, —and that Yahweh will return me good, for his cursing this day.
13 Sidaas daraaddeed Daa'uud iyo raggiisiiba jidkii bay mareen, Shimciina wuxuu maray buurtii agtiisa ahayd dhinaceeda, oo intuu sii socdayna Daa'uud buu habaarayay, oo dhagxan ku tuurayay, ciidna wuu ku soo saydhayay.
And, when David and his men went along in the way, Shimei, was going along on the side of the hill over against him, cursing as he went, pelting him with stones, and throwing dust.
14 Oo boqorkii iyo dadkii isaga la jiray oo dhammu waxay yimaadeen iyagoo daalay; halkaasuuna ku nastay.
And the king and all the people that were with him arrived, weary, —and they refreshed themselves there.
15 Markaasaa Absaaloom iyo dadkii reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu Yeruusaalem yimaadeen, iyagoo uu Axiitofel la socdo.
And, Absolom and all the men of Israel, entered Jerusalem, —and Ahithophel with him.
16 Oo kolkii Xuushay kii reer Arkii oo Daa'uud saaxiibkiis ahaa uu Absaaloom u yimid ayaa Xuushay Absaaloom ku yidhi, Boqorku ha noolaado, boqorku ha noolaado.
And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, the friend of David, came in unto Absolom, that Hushai said unto Absolom: Long live the king! Long live the king!
17 Markaasaa Absaaloom wuxuu Xuushay ku yidhi, Ma sidatanaad ugu roonaanaysaa saaxiibka? Maxaadse saaxiibkaa u raaci weyday?
Then said Absolom unto Hushai, Is, this, thy lovingkindness unto thy friend? Wherefore wentest thou not with thy friend?
18 Xuushayna wuxuu Absaaloom ku yidhi, Saas ma aha; laakiinse kii Rabbiga, iyo dadkan, iyo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu doorteen ayaa i lahaanaya, oo isagaan la joogayaa.
And Hushai said unto Absolom, Nay! but, whom Yahweh, and all this people, and the men of Israel have chosen, his, will I be, and, with him, will I dwell.
19 Oo haddana, bal yaan u adeegaa? Sow wiilkiisa ma aha? Sidaan aabbahaa ugu adeegi jiray oo kale ayaan haatanna adiga kuugu adeegayaa.
And, again, whom, should, I serve? Should it not be in presence of his son? as I served in presence of thy father, so, will I continue thy presence.
20 Markaasaa Absaaloom wuxuu Axiitofel ku yidhi, Bal ka tali waxaan samayn lahayn.
Then said Absolom unto Ahithophel, —Give ye your counsel, what we shall do.
21 Oo Axiitofelna wuxuu Absaaloom ku yidhi, Waxaad u tagtaa naagaha addoommaha ah ee aabbahaa, ee uu uga tegey inay guriga dhawraan; oo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammuna waxay maqli doonaan in aabbahaa ku karahsaday; dabadeedna inta kula jirta oo dhan gacmahoodu way xoogaysan doonaan.
And Ahithophel said unto Absolom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, whom he hath left to keep the house, —so shall all Israel hear that thou hast made thyself odious unto thy father, and the hands of all that are with thee, shall be strengthened.
22 Sidaas daraaddeed Absaaloom teendhay uga dhiseen guriga dushiisa, oo Absaaloomna wuxuu u tegey naagihii addoommaha ahaa ee aabbihiis, iyadoo ay reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu u jeedeen.
And they stretched out for Absolom a tent, upon the house-top, —and Absolom went in unto his father’s concubines, in the sight of all Israel.
23 Oo waayahaasna taladii Axiitofel ku talin jiray waxay ahayd sidii Ilaah hadalkiisa markii Ilaah wax la weyddiisto oo kale; oo Axiitofel taladiisuna saasay la ahayd Daa'uud iyo Absaaloomba.
Now, the counsel of Ahithophel which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God, —so, was all the counsel of Ahithophel, both to David, and also to Absolom.
