1 Oo sannaddii sagaalaad oo boqornimadiisa bishii tobnaad maalinteedii tobnaad ayaa Nebukadnesar oo ahaa boqorkii Baabuloon iyo ciidankiisii Yeruusaalem ku kaceen, oo intay hor degeen ayay qalcado hareereheeda ka dhisteen.
In the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, attacked Jerusalem with his entire army. He set up camp around the city and built siege ramps against the walls.
2 Oo sidaasay magaaladii u hareeraysnayd tan iyo sannaddii kow iyo tobnaad oo Boqor Sidqiyaah.
The city remained under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
3 Oo maalintii sagaalaad oo bishii afraad ayaa abaartii magaaladii aad iyo aad ugu xumaatay, oo sidaas daraaddeed dadkii dalka degganaa cunto ma haysan.
By the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine in the city was so bad that the people had nothing left to eat.
4 Markaasaa meel magaalada ahayd la jebiyey, oo raggii dagaalka oo dhammu intay habeennimo carareen ayay mareen jidkii iriddii u dhexaysay labada derbi oo ku ag tiil beertii boqorka; oo boqorkiina wuxuu maray jidkii Caraabaah. (Haddaba reer Kaldayiin waxay ku wareegsanaayeen magaalada.)
Then the city wall was broken through, and all the soldiers escaped at night through the gate between the two walls by the king's garden, even though the Babylonians had the city surrounded. They ran away in the direction of the Arabah,
5 Laakiinse ciidankii reer Kaldayiin ayaa boqorkii eryaday, oo waxay ku gaadheen bannaannadii Yerixoo; oo ciidankiisii oo dhammuna way ka kala firdheen.
but the Babylonian army chased after the king and caught up with him on the plains of Jericho. His whole army had scattered and left him.
6 Oo markaasay boqorkii qabsadeen oo boqorkii Baabuloon ugu geeyeen Riblaah, wayna xukumeen.
They captured the king and took him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where he was sentenced.
7 Oo Sidqiyaah wiilashiisiina hortiisay ku laayeen, dabadeedna Sidqiyaah indhihii bay ka soo bixiyeen, silsiladona bay ku xidheen, oo waxay u kaxeeyeen Baabuloon.
They slaughtered Zedekiah's sons while he watched, and then gouged out his eyes, bound him in bronze shackles, and took him to Babylon.
8 Haddaba bishii shanaad, maalinteedii toddobaad oo ahayd sannaddii sagaal iyo tobnaad oo Nebukadnesar boqorkii Baabuloon ayaa waxaa Yeruusaalem yimid Nebuusaradaan oo ahaa sirkaalkii askarta oo ahaa addoonkii boqorkii Baabuloon.
On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, an officer of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.
9 Markaasuu gubay gurigii Rabbiga iyo gurigii boqorka; oo wuxuu kaloo gubay guryihii Yeruusaalem oo dhan, kuwaasoo ahaa guri kasta oo weyn.
He burned down the Lord's Temple, the royal palace, and all the large buildings of Jerusalem.
10 Markaasaa ciidankii reer Kaldayiin oo dhan oo la socday sirkaalkii askarta waxay wada dumiyeen derbiyadii Yeruusaalem ku wareegsanaa.
The whole Babylonian army under the commander of the guard knocked down the walls around Jerusalem.
11 Oo Nebuusaradaan wuxuu maxaabiis ahaan u kaxaystay dadkii magaalada ku hadhay, iyo kuwii cararay oo u galay boqorkii Baabuloon, iyo intii dadkii faraha badnaa ka hadhay.
Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, deported those who were left in the city, even those who had gone over to the side of the king of Babylon, as well as the rest of the population.
12 Laakiinse sirkaalkii askartu wuxuu ka tegey dadkii waddanka ugu liitay inay ahaadaan kuwa canabka iyo beeraha kale ka shaqeeya.
But the commander of the guard allowed the poor people who were left in the country to stay and take care of the vineyards and the fields.
13 Markaasaa reer Kaldayiin jejebiyeen tiirarkii naxaasta ahaa oo guriga Rabbiga ku jiray, iyo saldhigyadii iyo berkeddii naxaasta ahayd oo guriga Rabbiga ku jiray, oo naxaastoodiina waxay u qaadeen Baabuloon.
The Babylonians broke into pieces the bronze pillars, the movable carts, and the bronze Sea that belonged to the Lord's Temple, and they took all the bronze to Babylon.
14 Oo waxay kaloo qaadeen dheryihii, iyo majarafadihii, iyo alaabta laambadaha lagu safayn jiray, iyo malgacadihii, iyo weelashii naxaasta ahaa oo lagu adeegi jiray oo dhan.
They also took all the pots, shovels, lamp snuffers, dishes, and all the other bronze items used in the Temple service.
15 Oo sirkaalkii askartu wuxuu la tegey dabqaadayaashii, iyo maddiibadihii; intii dahabka ahayd, dahab ahaan buu u qaaday, intii lacagta ahaydna lacag ahaan.
The commander of the guard removed the censers and bowls, anything that was made of pure gold or silver.
16 Labadii tiir, iyo berkeddii, iyo saldhigyadii uu Sulaymaan u sameeyey gurigii Rabbiga, dhammaan weelashaas naxaastoodu miisaan ma lahayn.
The amount of bronze that came from the two columns, the Sea and the movable carts, which Solomon had made for the Lord's Temple, all of this weighed more than could be measured.
17 Oo tiirarka midkood sarajooggiisu wuxuu ahaa siddeed iyo toban dhudhun, oo korkiisana waxaa sarnaa taaj naxaas ah; oo taajka sarajooggiisuna wuxuu ahaa saddex dhudhun, wuxuuna lahaa shabag iyo rummaanno taajka ku wareegsan, oo kulligoodna waxay ahaayeen naxaas; tiirkii labaadna waxan oo kaluu lahaa iyo shabag.
Each column was eighteen cubits tall. The bronze capital on top of one column was three cubits high, with a network of bronze pomegranates around it. The second column was the same, and also had a decorative network.
18 Oo sirkaalkii askartu wuxuu kaloo kaxaystay Seraayaah oo ahaa wadaadkii sare, iyo Sefanyaah oo ahaa wadaadkii labaad, iyo saddexdii iridjoog;
The commander of the guard took as prisoners Seraiah, the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest, second in rank, and the three Temple doorkeepers.
19 oo wuxuu magaaladii kala soo baxay sirkaal u sarreeyey raggii dagaalyahanka ahaa, iyo shan nin oo ka mid ahaa kuwii boqorka hor joogi jiray oo magaaladii laga dhex helay, iyo karraanigii sirkaalka ciidanka ee ururin jiray dadkii waddanka, iyo lixdan nin oo ahaa dadkii dalka degganaa oo magaaladii laga dhex helay.
From those left in the city he took the officer in charge of the soldiers, and five of the king's advisors. He also took the secretary to the army commander who was in charge of calling up the people for military service, and sixty other men who were present in the city.
20 Markaasaa Nebuusaradaan oo ahaa sirkaalkii askartu iyagii kaxeeyey, oo Riblaah ugu geeyey boqorkii Baabuloon.
Nebuzaradan, the commander of the guard, took them and brought them before the king of Babylon at Riblah.
21 Markaasaa boqorkii Baabuloon iyagii ku laayay Riblaah oo ku taal dalka Xamaad. Oo sidaasaa dadkii Yahuudah dalkoodii looga kaxaystay iyagoo maxaabiis ah.
The king of Babylon had them executed at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So the people of Judah had to leave their land.
22 Oo dadkii dalka Yahuudah lagaga tegey oo Nebukadnesar oo boqorkii Baabuloon ahaa uu uga tegey, kuwaas wuxuu taliye uga dhigay Gedalyaah ina Axiiqaam oo ahaa ina Shaafaan.
Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, appointed Gedaliah, son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, as governor over the people he had left in the land of Judah.
23 Haddaba saraakiishii ciidammada oo dhammu iyaga iyo raggoodii markay maqleen in boqorkii Baabuloon uu Gedalyaah ka dhigay taliye ayay Gedalyaah ugu yimaadeen Misfaah, oo kuwaasu waxay ahaayeen Ismaaciil ina Netanyaah, iyo Yooxaanaan ina Qaaree'ax, iyo Seraayaah ina Tanhumed oo reer Netofaah ahaa, iyo Ya'asanyaah oo uu dhalay kii reer Macakaad, iyagii iyo raggoodiiba.
When all the army officers of Judah and their men learned that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah as governor, they and their men met with Gedaliah at Mizpah. They included: Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan, son of Kareah, Seraiah, son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, Jaazaniah, son of the Maakathite.
24 Markaasaa Gedalyaah u dhaartay iyagii iyo raggoodiiba, oo ku yidhi, Ha ka cabsanina addoommada reer Kaldayiin; haddaba dalka degganaada oo boqorka Baabuloon u adeega, oo waad nabdoonaan doontaan.
Gedaliah swore an oath to them and their men, telling them, “Don't be afraid of the Babylonian officials. Stay here in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and you'll be fine.”
25 Laakiinse bishii toddobaad Ismaaciil ina Netanyaah oo ahaa ina Eliishaamaac oo farcankii reer boqor ahaa ayaa yimid, isagoo toban nin wata, markaasuu dilay Gedalyaah oo uu dhintay, isaga iyo Yuhuuddii iyo reer Kaldayiin oo isaga Misfaah la joogayba.
But in the seventh month, Ishmael, son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of royal blood, came with ten men. They attacked and killed Gedaliah, along with the men of Judea and Babylonians who were with him at Mizpah.
26 Markaasaa dadkii oo dhan yar iyo weynba iyo saraakiishii ciidammada way kaceen oo waxay tageen Masar, waayo, waxay ka cabsadeen reer Kaldayiin.
As a result, all the people, from the least to the greatest, along with the army commanders, ran away to Egypt, terrified of what the Babylonians would do.
27 Oo sannaddii toddoba iyo soddonaad intii boqorkii dalkii Yahuudah oo Yehooyaakiin ahaa uu xidhnaa, bishii laba iyo tobnaad, maalinteedii toddoba iyo labaatanaad, Ewiil Merodag oo ahaa boqorkii Baabuloon sannaddii uu boqor noqday ayuu xabsigii ka soo bixiyey Yehooyaakiin oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudah.
In the year Evil-merodach became king of Babylon, he released Jehoiachin, king of Judah, from prison. This happened on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin, king of Judah.
28 Oo si roon buu ula hadlay, oo wuxuu carshigiisii ka kor mariyey carshiyadii boqorradii isagii Baabuloon la joogay.
The king of Babylon treated him well him and gave him a position of honor higher than the other kings there with him in Babylon.
29 Oo dharkiisii xabsiga ayuu beddelay oo hortiisuu wax ku cuni jiray had iyo jeerba cimrigiisii oo dhanba.
So Jehoiachin was able to remove his prison clothes, and he ate frequently at the king's table for the rest of his life.
30 Oo xagga masruufkiisana boqorka xaggiisa waxaa laga siin jiray masruuf joogta ah, oo maalin kasta qayb buu heli jiray cimrigiisii oo dhan.
The king provided Jehoiachin with a daily allowance for the rest of his life.
