< Boqorradii Labaad 14 >
1 Yoo'aash ina Yoo'aaxaas ee ahaa boqorkii dalka Israa'iil sannaddiisii labaad ayaa Amasyaah ina Yoo'aash dalka Yahuudah boqor ka noqday.
After Jehoash had been ruling Israel for almost two years, Joash’s son Amaziah became the king of Judah.
2 Oo markuu boqor noqday wuxuu jiray shan iyo labaatan sannadood, oo Yeruusaalem ayuu boqor ku ahaa sagaal iyo labaatan sannadood, oo hooyadiisna magaceeda waxaa la odhan jiray Yehoocaddiin tii reer Yeruusaalem.
He was 25 years old when he started to rule, and he ruled in Jerusalem for 29 years. His mother was Jehoaddin; she was from Jerusalem.
3 Oo wuxuu sameeyey wax Rabbiga hortiisa ku qumman, laakiinse ma uu samayn sidii awowgiis Daa'uud sameeyey oo kale; wuxuuse sameeyey kulli wixii aabbihiis Yoo'aash sameeyey oo kale.
Amaziah did many things that pleased Yahweh, but he did not do as many things that pleased Yahweh as King David had done. He did some of the good things that his father Joash had done.
4 Habase yeeshee meelihii sarsare lama baabbi'in; oo dadku weli way ku allabaryi jireen, fooxna way ku shidi jireen meelihii sarsare.
But, [like his father, ] he did not tear down the places for worshipping Yahweh at pagan shrines. The people continued to burn incense [to honor Yahweh] on those hills [instead of in Jerusalem, the place that Yahweh had appointed].
5 Oo haddiiba markii boqortooyadiisii xoogaysatay ayuu laayay addoommadiisii dilay boqorkii aabbihiis ahaa.
As soon as he was completely in control of his kingdom, he caused to be executed the officials who had murdered his father.
6 Laakiinse gacankudhiiglayaasha carruurtoodii ma uu dilin; oo wuxuu yeelay sida ku qoran kitaabkii sharcigii Muuse sidii Rabbigu amray, isagoo leh, Aabbayaasha yaan loo dilin carruurtooda, carruurtana yaan loo dilin aabbayaashood; laakiinse nin waluba dembigiisa ha u dhinto.
But he did not execute their children. He obeyed what was written in the laws that God gave to Moses: “Parents must not be executed for [the crimes/sins committed by] their children, and children must not be executed for [crimes/sins committed by] their parents. People must be executed only for the sins that they themselves [have committed].”
7 Oo Dooxadii Cusbada wuxuu reer Edom kaga laayay toban kun oo nin, oo Selacna dagaal buu ku qabsaday, oo wuxuu magaceedii u bixiyey Yoqte'eel, ilaa maantadanna waa loo yaqaan.
Amaziah’s soldiers killed 10,000 soldiers of the Edom people-group in the Salt Valley [south of the Dead Sea], and they captured Sela [city] and gave it a new name, Joktheel. That is still its name.
8 Markaasaa Amasyaah wargeeyayaal u diray Yehoo'aash oo ahaa ina Yehoo'aaxaas ina Yeehuu oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Israa'iil, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Car kaalay aynu iska hor nimaadnee.
Then Amaziah sent messengers to King Jehoash of Israel, saying “Come here and let’s talk together.”
9 Kolkaasaa Yehoo'aash oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Israa'iil u cid diray Amasyaah oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudah, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Yamaaruggii Lubnaan ku yiil wuxuu u cid diray geedkii kedarka ah oo Lubnaan ku yiil, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Gabadhaada sii wiilkaygu ha guursadee; oo waxaa halkaas soo maray bahal Lubnaan joogay, markaasuu yamaaruggii ku joogsaday.
But King Jehoash replied to King Amaziah: “Once a thornbush growing [in the mountains] in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar tree, saying, ‘Give your daughter to my son in order that he may marry her.’ But a wild animal in Lebanon passed by the thornbush and trampled it.
10 Hubaal reer Edom baad laysay, waanad isla weynaatay, haddaba faan oo dalkaaga iska joog, waayo, bal maxaad belaayo isugu soo jiidaysaa oo aad adiga iyo dadka Yahuudahba u wada dhacaysaan?
[The meaning of what I am saying is that] your army has defeated the army of Edom, so now you have become very proud. But you should be content with defeating the people of Edom, and allow your soldiers to stay at home. If you cause trouble [by fighting against] us, you will surely [RHQ] cause a disaster to happen to you and to your people.”
11 Laakiinse Amasyaah taas wuu maqli waayay. Markaasuu Yehoo'aash oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Israa'iil soo kacay, oo isagii iyo Amasyaah oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudah waxay iskaga hor yimaadeen Beytshemesh oo uu dadka Yahuudah leeyahay.
But Amaziah refused to heed Jehoash’s message. So he marched with his army to fight against the Israeli army at Beth-Shemesh [city] in Judah.
12 Oo dadka Israa'iil way ka adkaadeen dadka Yahuudah, oo nin waluba wuxuu u cararay teendhadiisii.
The Israeli army defeated the army of Judah, and all the soldiers of Judah fled and ran back home.
13 Oo Yehoo'aash oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Israa'iil ayaa Amasyaah oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudah kaasoo ahaa ina Yehoo'aash oo ahaa ina Axasyaah, ku qabtay Beytshemesh, oo intuu Yeruusaalem yimid ayuu dumiyey derbigii Yeruusaalem tan iyo iriddii Efrayim iyo ilaa iriddii geeska ahayd, intaasoo ahayd afar boqol oo dhudhun.
Jehoash’s army also captured King Amaziah there, and they also marched to Jerusalem and tore down the wall that was around the city, from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate. That was a section that was about (200 yards/180 meters) long.
14 Oo wuxuu qaatay dahabkii iyo lacagtii oo dhan iyo weelashii laga helay guriga Rabbiga iyo khasnadihii guriga boqorka oo dhan, oo dadna cudhaadh ahaan buu u kaxaystay, markaasuu Samaariya ku noqday.
Jehoash’s soldiers seized all the gold and silver that they found, and all the utensils that were in the temple, and all the valuable things that were in the palace, and took them to Samaria. They also took to Samaria some prisoners whom they had captured.
15 Haddaba Yehoo'aash falimihiisii kale ee uu sameeyey, iyo xooggiisii, iyo siduu ula diriray Amasyaah oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudahba sow kuma qorna kitaabkii taariikhda boqorradii dalka Israa'iil?
[If you want to know about] all the other things that Jehoash did when he was king, including when he [and his army] fought against [the army of] King Amaziah of Judah, they are written in the scroll called ‘The History of the Kings of Israel’.
16 Markaasaa Yehoo'aash dhintay oo la seexday awowayaashiis, oo Samaariya ayaa lagula aasay boqorradii dalka Israa'iil, oo meeshiisiina waxaa boqor ka noqday wiilkiisii Yaaraabcaam.
Jehoash died [EUP], and he was buried in Samaria, where the other kings of Israel had been buried. Then his son Jeroboam became the king.
17 Oo Amasyaah ina Yoo'aash oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudah shan iyo toban sannadood buu sii noolaa markii Yehoo'aash ina Yehoo'aaxaas oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Israa'iil uu dhintay dabadeed.
Amaziah, the king of Judah, lived for 15 more years after Jehoash, the king of Israel, died.
18 Haddaba Amasyaah falimihiisii kale sow kuma qorna kitaabkii taariikhda boqorradii dalka Yahuudah?
[If you want to know more about] everything else that Amaziah did, it is written [RHQ] in the scroll called ‘The History of the Kings of Judah’.
19 Oo isagii shirqool bay Yeruusaalem ugu sameeyeen, markaasuu Laakiish u cararay, laakiinse Laakiish bay cid uga daba direen, oo halkaasay ku dileen.
Some people in Jerusalem plotted against Amaziah, so he fled to Lachish [city]. But they followed him there and killed him.
20 Markaasay isagii fardo ku keeneen, oo awowayaashiis ayaa lagula aasay Yeruusaalem oo ah magaaladii Daa'uud.
They took his corpse back to Jerusalem and buried it where his ancestors had been buried, in [the part of Jerusalem called] ‘The City of David’.
21 Oo dadkii Yahuudah oo dhammu waxay soo kaxaysteen Casaryaah oo lix iyo toban sannadood jiray, oo isagay boqor uga dhigeen meeshii aabbihiis Amasyaah.
Then all the people of Judah appointed Amaziah’s son Uzziah, when he was 16 years old, to be their king
22 Oo isna Eelad wuu dhisay oo dalka Yahuudah u soo celiyey markii boqorkii dhintay oo la seexday awowayaashiis dabadeed.
After his father died, Uzziah’s workers captured Elath [city], and it came under the control of Judah again.
23 Amasyaah ina Yoo'aash oo ahaa boqorkii dalka Yahuudah sannaddiisii shan iyo tobnaad ayaa Yaaraabcaam ina Yoo'aash dalka Israa'iil Samaariya boqor ugu noqday, wuxuuna boqor ahaa kow iyo afartan sannadood.
When Amaziah had been ruling Judah for almost 15 years, Jeroboam became the king of Israel. He ruled in Samaria [city] for 41 years.
24 Oo isna wuxuu sameeyey wax Rabbiga hortiisa shar ku ah, kamana uu tegin dembiyadii uu Yaaraabcaam ina Nebaad dadkii Israa'iil dembaajiyey oo dhan.
He did many things that Yahweh considered to be evil. He did not stop committing the same kind of sins that Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, committed, sins which led the Israeli people to sin also.
25 Oo wuxuu soo celiyey soohdintii dalka Israa'iil tan iyo meesha laga galo Xamaad iyo tan iyo badda Caraabaah, taasuna waa siduu ahaa Eraygii Rabbiga ah Ilaaha dadka Israa'iil ee uu kaga hadlay addoonkiisii ahaa Nebi Yoonis ina Amitay oo ahaa reer Gad Heefer.
His soldiers conquered again some of the territory that had previously belonged to Israel, from Hamath [city] in the north to the Dead Sea in the south. That is what Yahweh, the God whom the Israelis worshiped, promised the prophet Jonah, the son of Amittai, from Gath-Hepher [town], would happen.
26 Waayo, Rabbigu wuxuu arkay dhibaatadii ay dadkii Israa'iil ku jireen inay aad u qadhaadhayd, waayo, ma jirin mid xidhan iyo mid furan toona, mana jirin mid dadkii Israa'iil u kaalmeeya.
That happened because Yahweh saw that [the Israelis’ enemies were causing] the Israelis [to] suffer very much. And there was absolutely no one [IDM] who would help them.
27 Rabbigu ma uu odhan, Magaca dadka Israa'iil waan ka baabbi'inayaa samada hoosteeda. Laakiinse iyagii wuxuu ku badbaadiyey Yaaraabcaam ina Yoo'aash.
But Yahweh said that he would not destroy Israel completely, so he enabled King Jeroboam to rescue them.
28 Haddaba Yaaraabcaam falimihiisii kale, iyo wixii uu sameeyey oo dhan, iyo xooggiisii, iyo siduu u dagaallamay, iyo siduu dalka Israa'iil ugu soo celiyey Dimishaq iyo Xamaad oo ay dadkii Yahuudah lahaayeen sow kuma qorna kitaabkii taariikhda boqorradii dalka Israa'iil?
[If you want to know more about] everything else that Jeroboam did, [about] his fighting courageously in battles, and [about] his [enabling the Israelis to] capture again Damascus and Hamath [cities], they are written [RHQ] in the scroll called ‘The History of the Kings of Israel’.
29 Markaasaa Yaaraabcaam dhintay oo la seexday awowayaashiis kuwaasoo ahaa boqorradii dalka Israa'iil, oo waxaa meeshiisii boqor ka noqday wiilkiisii Sekaryaah.
Jeroboam died [EUP], [and was buried] where the other kings of Israel [were buried], and his son Zechariah became the king.
