1 Aaxaas markuu boqor noqday wuxuu jiray labaatan sannadood, oo lix iyo toban sannadood ayuu Yeruusaalem boqor ku ahaa, oo isagu ma uu samayn sidii awowgiis Daa'uud oo kale wax Rabbiga hortiisa ku qumman,
Ahaz [is] a son of twenty years in his reigning, and he has reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and he has not done that which is right in the eyes of YHWH, as his father David,
2 laakiinse wuxuu ku socday jidadkii boqorrada dalka Israa'iil, oo weliba wuxuu Bacaliim u sameeyey sanamyo la shubay.
and walks in the ways of the kings of Israel, and has also made molten images for Ba‘alim,
3 Oo haddana foox buu ku shiday dooxadii ina Hinnom, oo carruurtiisiina dab buu ku dhex gubay, sidii ay ahayd karaahiyadii quruumihii Rabbigu ka eryay reer binu Israa'iil hortooda.
and has made incense himself in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and burns his sons with fire according to the abominations of the nations that YHWH dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,
4 Oo haddana wuxuu ku allabaryi jiray oo fooxna ku shidi jiray meelihii sarsare, iyo buuraha dushooda, iyo geed kasta oo dheer oo doog ah hoostiisaba.
and sacrifices and makes incense in high places, and on the heights, and under every green tree.
5 Oo sidaas daraaddeed ayaa Rabbiga Ilaahiisa ahu isagii ku riday gacantii boqorkii Suuriya, oo intay isagii wax ku dhufteen ayay dadkiisii tirada badnaana maxaabiis ahaan ugu kaxaysteen Dimishaq. Oo haddana isagii waxaa gacanta loo geliyey boqorkii dalka Israa'iil kaasoo wax badan ka laayay.
And his God YHWH gives him into the hand of the king of Aram, and they strike him, and take captive a great captivity from him, and bring [them] to Damascus, and he has also been given into the hand of the king of Israel, and he strikes him [with] a great striking.
6 Oo Feqax ina Remalyaah ayaa dalka Yahuudah isku maalin ku laayay boqol iyo labaatan kun oo nin oo dhammaantood wada xoog badan, maxaa yeelay, iyagu waxay ka tageen Rabbigii ahaa Ilaahii awowayaashood.
And Pekah son of Remaliah slays one hundred and twenty thousand in Judah in one day (the whole [are] sons of valor), because of their forsaking YHWH, God of their fathers.
7 Oo Sikrii oo ahaa nin xoog badan oo reer Efrayim ayaa dilay Macaseeyaah oo ahaa boqorka wiilkiisii, iyo Casriiqaam oo reerka u talin jiray, iyo Elqaanaah oo ahaa kii boqorka ku xigay.
And Zichri, a mighty one of Ephraim, slays Maaseiah son of the king, and Azrikam leader of the house, and Elkanah second to the king.
8 Oo dadkii Israa'iilna waxay walaalahood maxaabiis ahaan uga soo kaxaysteen laba boqol oo kun oo qof, oo ahaa naago iyo wiilal iyo gabdhoba, oo waxay kaloo ka dhaceen maal badan, oo maalkiina waxay keeneen Samaariya.
And the sons of Israel take captive of their brothers: two hundred thousand wives, sons, and daughters; and they have also seized much spoil from them, and they bring in the spoil to Samaria.
9 Laakiinse halkaas waxaa joogay nebi Rabbigu soo dirtay, oo magiciisana waxaa la odhan jiray Codeed, wuuna u baxay inuu ka hor tago ciidankii Samaariya ku soo socday oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Bal eega, Rabbiga ah Ilaahii awowayaashiin ayaa u cadhooday dadka Yahuudah, oo sidaas daraaddeed ayuu iyaga gacantiinna u soo geliyey, oo idinna waxaad iyagii ku layseen cadho kulul oo tan iyo samada gaadhay.
And there has been a prophet of YHWH there (Oded [is] his name), and he goes out before the host that has come to Samaria, and says to them, “Behold, in the fury of YHWH, God of your fathers, against Judah, He has given them into your hand, and you slay among them in rage—it has come to the heavens;
10 Oo imminka waxaad ku talo jirtaan inaad hoosaysiisaan dadka Yahuudah iyo dadka Yeruusaalem si ay idiinku ahaadaan niman addoommo ah iyo naago addoommo ah, laakiinse miyaanay jirin xadgudubyo aad idinkuba ku xadgudubteen Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah?
and now you are saying to subdue sons of Judah and Jerusalem for menservants and for maidservants for yourselves; but are there not causes of guilt with you before your God YHWH?
11 Haddaba i maqla, oo celiya maxaabiistii aad walaalihiin ka soo kaxaysateen, maxaa yeelay, waxaa idin kor saaran Rabbiga cadhadiisa kulul.
And now, hear me, and send back the captives whom you have taken captive of your brothers, for the heat of the anger of YHWH [is] on you.”
12 Markaasay madaxdii reer Efrayim qaarkood hor istaageen kuwii dagaalka ka soo noqday, oo madaxdaasuna waxay ahaayeen Casaryaah ina Yooxaanaan, iyo Berekyaah ina Meshilleemood, iyo Yexisqiyaah ina Shalluum, iyo Camaasaa ina Xadlay.
And certain of the heads of the sons of Ephraim (Azariah son of Johanan, Berechiah son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai), rise up against those coming in from the host,
13 Oo waxay iyagii ku yidhaahdeen, Idinku waa inaydnaan maxaabiista halkan soo gelin, waayo, waxaad ku talo jirtaan inaad ina kor saartaan xadgudub Rabbiga ka gees ah, oo waxaad inoo sii kordhinaysaan dembiyadeennii iyo xadgudubkeennii, maxaa yeelay, xadgudubkeennu aad buu u weyn yahay, oo dadka Israa'iilna aad baa loogu cadhooday.
and say to them, “You do not bring in the captives here, for guilt against YHWH [is already] on us, you are saying to add to our sin and to our guilt. For abundant [is] the guilt we have, and the fierceness of anger on Israel.”
14 Sidaas daraaddeed raggii hubka sitay waxay maxaabiistii iyo boolidiiba kaga tageen amiirrada iyo shirkii oo dhan hortooda.
And the armed men leave the captives and the prey before the heads and all the assembly;
15 Markaasay nimankii la magacaabay soo kaceen, oo waxay qabteen maxaabiistii, oo kuwii dhexdooda ku jiray oo qaawanaana dhar bay uga xidheen boolidii, wax bay huwiyeen, oo kabana way u geliyeen, oo waxay siiyeen wax ay cunaan iyo wax ay cabbaanba, wayna u subkeen, oo kuwii itaalka yaraa oo dhanna dameeray ku qaadeen, markaasay Yerixoo oo ahayd magaaladii geedatimireedka lahayd walaalahood ugu geeyeen, dabadeedna Samaariya ayay ku noqdeen.
and the men who have been expressed by name rise and take hold on the captives, and they have clothed all their naked ones from the spoil, indeed, they clothe them, and shoe them, and cause them to eat and drink, and anoint them, and lead them on donkeys, even every feeble one, and bring them to Jericho, the city of palms, near their brothers, and return to Samaria.
16 Oo wakhtigaas ayaa Boqor Aaxaas u cid dirsaday boqorradii reer Ashuur inay caawiyaan.
At that time King Ahaz has sent to the king of Asshur to give help to him;
17 Waayo, waxaa haddana yimid reer Edom oo intay dalka Yahuudah wax ku dhufteen ayay dadkoodii maxaabiis ahaan u kaxaysteen.
and again the Edomites have come, and strike in Judah, and take captive a captivity.
18 Oo weliba reer Falastiinna waxay weerareen magaalooyinkii dooxada iyo kuwii dalka Yahuudah ee Koonfureed, oo waxay qabsadeen Beytshemesh, iyo Ayaaloon, iyo Gedeerood, iyo Sookoo iyo tuulooyinkeedii, iyo Timnaah iyo tuulooyinkeedii, iyo weliba Gimsoo iyo tuulooyinkeedii, oo intaas oo dhanna way iska degeen.
And the Philistines have rushed against the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and capture Beth-Shemesh, and Aijalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho and its villages, and Timnah and its villages, and Gimzo and its villages, and dwell there,
19 Rabbigu wuxuu dadka Yahuudah hoos ugu dejiyey boqorkii dalka Israa'iil oo Aaxaas ahaa daraaddiis, maxaa yeelay, si xun buu dalka Yahuudah ugu dhex macaamilooday, oo Rabbigana aad buu ugu xadgudbay.
for YHWH has humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he made free with Judah, even to commit a trespass against YHWH.
20 Markaasaa waxaa isagii u yimid Tilgad Filneser oo ahaa boqorkii Ashuur, oo isna aad buu u dhibay, mana uu caawin isagii.
And Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur comes to him, and does distress him, and has not strengthened him,
21 Markaasaa Aaxaas qayb ka soo qaaday gurigii Rabbiga iyo gurigii boqorka iyo kii amiirradaba, oo wuxuu siiyey boqorkii Ashuur, laakiinse taasu isagii waxba uma tarin.
though Ahaz has taken a portion [out] of the house of YHWH, and [out] of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gives to the king of Asshur, yet it is no help to him.
22 Oo Boqor Aaxaas kaas qudhiisu intuu dhibaataysnaa ayuu weliba Rabbiga si weyn ugu sii xadgudbay.
And in the time of his distress—he adds to trespass against YHWH (this King Ahaz),
23 Waayo, isagu wuxuu allabari u bixiyey ilaahyadii Dimishaq oo isaga wax ku dhuftay, oo wuxuu isyidhi, Ilaahyada boqorrada reer Suuriya way caawiyaan iyaga, sidaas daraaddeed allabari ayaan u bixinayaa si ay anigana ii caawiyaan. Laakiinse waxay isaga iyo reer binu Israa'iil oo dhanba u noqdeen wax ay ku dhacaan.
and he sacrifices to the gods of Damascus [which were] those striking him, and says, “Because the gods of the kings of Aram are helping them, I sacrifice to them, and they help me,” and they have been to him to cause him to stumble, and to all Israel.
24 Markaasaa Aaxaas wuxuu soo wada urursaday weelashii guriga Ilaah oo wuu wada burburiyey weelashii guriga Ilaah, oo albaabbadii guriga Rabbigana wuu wada xidhay, oo isna wuxuu meelo allabari ka samaystay gees kasta oo Yeruusaalem.
And Ahaz gathers the vessels of the house of God, and cuts in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shuts the doors of the house of YHWH, and makes altars for himself in every corner in Jerusalem.
25 Oo magaaloo kasta oo dalka Yahuudahna wuxuu ka dhisay meelo sarsare in foox loogu shido ilaahyo qalaad, oo wuxuu aad uga xanaajiyey Rabbigii ahaa Ilaahii awowayaashiis.
And in each and every city of Judah he has made high places to make incense to other gods, and provokes YHWH, God of his fathers.
26 Haddaba falimihiisii kale iyo jidadkiisii oo dhammu intii hore iyo intii dambeba waxay ku wada qoran yihiin kitaabkii boqorrada dalka Yahuudah iyo dalka Israa'iil.
And the rest of his matters, and all his ways, the first and the last, behold, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Judah and Israel.
27 Markaasaa Aaxaas dhintay oo la seexday awowayaashiis, oo waxaa lagu aasay magaalada Yeruusaalem, waayo, isagii lama gelin qabuurihii boqorrada dalka Israa'iil; oo meeshiisiina waxaa boqor ka noqday wiilkiisii Xisqiyaah.
And Ahaz lies with his fathers, and they bury him in the city, in Jerusalem, but have not brought him to the graves of the kings of Israel, and his son Hezekiah reigns in his stead.
