Samuu'Eel Kowaad 16
1 Markaasaa Rabbigu wuxuu Samuu'eel ku yidhi, War ilaa goormaad Saa'uul u ooyaysaa, adigoo og inaan u diiday inuu reer binu Israa'iil boqor u ahaado? Haddaba geeskaaga saliid ka buuxso oo tag, waxaan kuu dirayaa Yesay oo ah reer Beytlaxam; waayo, boqor baan wiilashiisa ka dhex doortay.
And Yahweh said unto Samuel—How long, art thou going to pine for Saul, seeing that, I, have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill thy horn with oil, and come! let me send thee unto Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided me, among his sons, a king.
2 Oo Samuu'eelna wuxuu yidhi, Sidee baan u tegi karaa? Waayo, haddii Saa'uul taas maqlo wuu i dili doonaa. Oo Rabbiguna wuxuu ku yidhi, Waxaad kaxaysataa qaalin lo' ah, oo waxaad tidhaahdaa, Waxaan u imid inaan Rabbiga allabari u bixiyo.
And Samuel said, How can I go? As soon as Saul heareth, he will slay me. Then said Yahweh, A heifer, take thou with thee, and say, To sacrifice unto Yahweh, am I come.
3 Oo Yesay allabariga ugu yeedh, waanan ku tusi doonaa waxaad samayn doonto; oo waxaad ii subagtaa kii aan kuu magacaabo.
Then shall thou bid Jesse to the sacrifice, —when, I, will let thee know what thou must do, so shalt thou anoint for me him whom I shall name unto thee.
4 Oo Samuu'eelna wuxuu Rabbigu kala hadlay ayuu sameeyey, wuxuuna yimid Beytlaxam. Oo odayaashii magaaladuna way ka hor tageen, iyagoo gariiraya, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Nabad ma u timid?
And Samuel did that which Yahweh had spoken, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the city came trembling to meet him, and one said—Peaceably, comest thou?
5 Markaasuu yidhi, Haah, nabad baan u imid, waxaanan u imid inaan Rabbiga allabari u bixiyo. Haddaba isa soo daahiriya, oo kaalaya, meesha allabariga ii raaca. Markaasuu wuxuu daahirshay Yesay iyo wiilashiisii, dabadeedna meeshii allabariga buu ugu yeedhay.
And he said—Peaceably: to sacrifice unto Yahweh, am I come. Hallow yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he hallowed Jesse and his sons, and bade them to the sacrifice.
6 Oo markay yimaadeen wuxuu fiiriyey Elii'aab, oo yidhi, Hubaal kii Rabbigu subkaday ayaa hortiisa jooga.
And it came to pass, when they entered, that he looked upon Eliab, —and said to himself, Surely, before Yahweh, is his Anointed.
7 Markaasaa Rabbigu wuxuu Samuu'eel ku yidhi, Ha fiirin soojeedkiisa, ama dhererkiisa, maxaa yeelay, waan diiday isaga. Rabbigu wax uma arko sida dadku wax u arko, waayo, dadku wuxuu fiiriyaa muuqashada dusha, Rabbiguse qalbiguu fiiriyaa.
But Yahweh said unto Samuel—Do not regard his countenance, or the height of his stature, for I have rejected him, —for it is not what man looketh to but what God looketh to. For, man, looketh to the outward appearance, but, Yahweh, looketh to the heart.
8 Markaasaa Yesay u yeedhay Abiinaadaab, oo soo mariyey Samuu'eel hortiisa, Samuu'eelna wuxuu yidhi, Rabbigu kanna ma uu dooran.
Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel, —and he said, Neither of this one, hath Yahweh made choice.
9 Oo haddana Yesay wuu soo hor mariyey Shammaah. Oo wuxuu yidhi, Rabbigu kanna ma dooran.
Then Jesse made Shammah pass by, —and he said—Nor of this one, hath Yahweh made choice.
10 Yesayna wuxuu Samuu'eel soo hor mariyey toddoba wiilashiisii ka mid ah. Markaasaa Samuu'eel wuxuu Yesay ku yidhi, Rabbigu kuwan ma dooran.
So Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel, —and Samuel said unto Jesse, Yahweh hath not made choice of these.
11 Samuu'eelna wuxuu Yesay ku yidhi, War carruurtaadii halkan ma wada joogaan? Markaasuu yidhi, Weli waxaa hadhay kii ugu yaraa, oo idahuu ilaalinayaa. Oo haddana Samuu'eel wuxuu Yesay ku yidhi, Cid u dir oo keen; waayo, innagu fadhiisan mayno jeeruu halkan yimaado.
Then said Samuel unto Jesse—Are these all the young men? And he said—There yet remaineth, the youngest, but lo! he is tending the sheep. Then said Samuel unto Jesse—Do, send, and summon him, for we cannot sit round, until he cometh in hither.
12 Markaasuu u cid diray, oo soo geliyey. Oo isna wuxuu ahaa mid cas, oo soojeed qurxoon, oo midabkiisuna aad u wanaagsan yahay. Markaasaa Rabbigu wuxuu Samuu'eel ku yidhi, Kac, oo subag, waayo, kanu waa isagii.
So he sent, and brought him in. Now, he, was ruddy, a stripling with handsome eyes, and noble mien. Then said Yahweh—Rise—anoint him, for, this, is, he.
13 Markaasaa Samuu'eel qaaday geeskii saliiddu ku jirtay, wuuna ku subkay isagoo walaalihiis dhex jooga; oo maalintaas intii ka dambaysay Ruuxii Rabbigu aad buu ugu soo degay Daa'uud. Dabadeedna Samuu'eel wuu kacay, oo Raamaah buu tegey.
And Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren. And the Spirit of Yahweh came mightily upon David, from that day forward. Then arose Samuel, and went his way unto Ramah.
14 Haddaba Ruuxii Rabbigu Saa'uul wuu ka tegey, oo ruux shar leh oo xagga Rabbiga ka yimid ayaa dhibay isagii.
But, the spirit of Yahweh, departed from Saul, —and there terrified him a sad spirit, from Yahweh.
15 Markaasaa Saa'uul addoommadiisii waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Bal eeg, haatan waxaa ku dhibaya ruux shar leh oo xagga Ilaah ka yimid.
Then said the servants of Saul unto him, —Lo! we pray thee, a sad superhuman spirit, doth terrify thee:
16 Sayidkayagow, nagu amar annagoo ah addoommadaada ku hor jooga inaannu kuu doondoonno nin aad kataaradda u yaqaan; oo markuu ruuxa sharka leh ee xagga Ilaah ka yimid kugu soo dego, ayuu kataaradda garaaci doonaa, waanad bogsan doontaa.
Pray let our lord bid thy servants before thee, seek out a man, skilled in playing on the lyre, —so shall it be, when a sad superhuman spirit cometh on thee, then shall he play with his hand, and thou shalt be joyful.
17 Markaasaa Saa'uul wuxuu addoommadiisii ku yidhi, Ii doona nin aad u yaqaan, oo ii keena.
And Saul said unto his servants, —I pray you, look out for me a man that excelleth in playing, and bring him in unto me.
18 Dabadeedna raggii dhallinyarada ahaa midkood ayaa ku jawaabay oo yidhi, Waxaan arkay Yesayga reer Beytlaxam wiil uu dhalay oo aad u yaqaan sida kataaradda lagu dhufto oo ah nin xoog leh oo dagaalyahan ah, codkarna ah, oo suurad qurxoon, oo weliba Rabbiguna wuu la jiraa.
Then responded one of the young men and said—Lo! I have seen—a son of Jesse, the Bethlehemite, skilled in playing, and a mighty man of valour, and a man of war, and of intelligent speech, and a handsome man, and, Yahweh, is with him.
19 Sidaas daraaddeed Saa'uul wargeeyayaal buu u diray Yesay oo ku yidhi, Wiilkaaga Daa'uud oo idaha ilaalinaya ii soo dir.
So Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, —and said, Send, unto me—David thy son, who is with the sheep.
20 Markaasaa Yesay wuxuu soo kexeeyey dameer ku raran kibis iyo sibraar khamri ah, iyo orgi yar, oo Saa'uul buu u diray. Wuxuuna ugu sii dhiibay wiilkiisii Daa'uud.
Then took Jesse an ass laden with bread, and a skin of wine, and one kid, —and sent by the hand of David his son, unto Saul.
21 Markaasaa Daa'uud Saa'uul u yimid, oo hortiisuu soo istaagay, oo isna aad buu u jeclaaday Daa'uud, oo wuxuu Saa'uul u noqday kii hubka u siday.
And David came in unto Saul, —and stood before him, —and he loved him greatly, and he became his armour-bearer.
22 Kolkaasaa Saa'uul farriin u diray Yesay oo ku yidhi, Waan ku baryayaaye, ii daa Daa'uud, hortayda ha joogee, waayo, isagu aad buu iiga farxiyey.
And Saul sent unto Jesse, saying, —I pray thee, let David stand before me, for he hath found favour in mine eyes.
23 Oo markuu ruuxii sharka lahaa ee xagga Ilaah ka yimid Saa'uul ku soo degay ayaa Daa'uud qaatay kataaraddiisii, oo garaacay, dabadeedna Saa'uul wuu qaboobay, wuuna bogsaday, oo ruuxii sharka lahaana waa ka tegey.
And so it used to be, when a superhuman spirit came unto Saul, then would David take the lyre, and play with his hand, —and Saul would be refreshed, and be joyful, and, the sad spirit, would depart from him.
