< Boqorradii Kowaad 1 >
1 Haddaba Boqor Daa'uud wuu gaboobay, da' buuna la dhacay, oo waxay huwiyeen dhar, laakiinse kulayl ma uu helin.
Now king David had become elderly, and he had many days in his lifetime. And though he was covered with clothes, he was not warmed.
2 Sidaas daraaddeed addoommadiisii waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Boqorow, Sayidkayagiiyow, ha laguu doono gabadh dhallinyar oo bikrad ah, oo taasu ha istaagto hortaada, waxna ha kuu tarto, oo laabtaadana ha ku jiifto, si aad kulayl u hesho, Boqorow, Sayidkayagiiyow.
Therefore, his servants said to him: “Let us seek, for our lord the king, a young virgin. And let her stand before the king, and warm him, and sleep in his bosom, and provide warmth for our lord the king.”
3 Sidaas daraaddeed gabadh qurxoon ayay ka doondooneen dalkii Israa'iil oo dhan, oo waxay soo heleen Abiishag oo ahayd reer Shuuneem, oo taas bay boqorkii u keeneen.
And so they sought a beautiful young woman in all the parts of Israel. And they found Abishag, a Shunammite, and they led her to the king.
4 Oo gabadhuna aad bay u qurxoonayd, oo boqorkiina wax bay u tari jirtay, oo u adeegi jirtay, laakiinse boqorku iyadii ma uu taaban.
Now the girl was exceedingly beautiful. And she slept with the king, and she ministered to him. Yet truly, the king did not know her.
5 Markaasaa Adoniiyaah oo ay Haggiid dhashay isweyneeyey, oo yidhi, Anigaa boqor noqon doona; oo wuxuu diyaarsaday gaadhifardood iyo rag fardooley ah, iyo konton nin oo hortiisa orodda.
Then Adonijah, the son of Haggith, exalted himself, saying, “I shall reign!” And he appointed for himself chariots and horsemen, with fifty men who would run before him.
6 Oo aabbihiisna marna kama calool xumayn isagii oo kuma odhan, War maxaad saas u yeeshay? Wuxuuna ahaa nin qurux badan, oo Absaaloom dabadiis dhashay.
Neither did his father chastise him at any time, saying, “Why have you done this?” Now he, too, was very beautiful, the second in birth, after Absalom.
7 Oo isna wuxuu la hadlay Yoo'aab oo ay Seruuyaah dhashay, iyo wadaadkii Aabyaataar; oo iyana intay Adoniiyaah raaceen ayay caawiyeen.
And he conferred with Joab, the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar, the priest, who gave assistance to the side of Adonijah.
8 Laakiinse Saadooq oo ahaa wadaad, iyo Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaac, iyo Nebi Naataan, iyo Shimcii iyo Reecii, iyo raggii xoogga badnaa oo Daa'uud lahaa midkoodna Adoniiyaah lama jirin.
Yet truly, Zadok, the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan, the prophet, and Shimei and Rei, and the mature men of the army of David were not with Adonijah.
9 Markaasaa Adoniiyaah wuxuu ido iyo dibi iyo neefaf shishilis ku qalay meel u dhow dhagaxa Soxeled oo ku dhinac yaal Ceyn Rogeel, oo wuxuu u wada yeedhay walaalihiis ilmo boqor, iyo raggii reer Yahuudah oo boqorka addoommadiisa ahaa oo dhan.
Then Adonijah, having immolated rams and calves and every kind of fat cattle beside the Stone of the Serpent, which was in the vicinity of the fountain Rogel, summoned all his brothers, the sons of the king, and all the men of Judah, the servants of the king.
10 Laakiinse uma uu yeedhin Nebi Naataan, iyo Benaayaah, iyo raggii xoogga badnaa, iyo walaalkiis Sulaymaan.
But he did not summon Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, and all the mature men, and Solomon, his brother.
11 Markaasaa Naataan la hadlay Batshebac oo Sulaymaan hooyadiis ahayd, oo ku yidhi, Naa miyaadan maqlin inuu boqor noqday Adoniiyaah kii ay Haggiid dhashay, oo sayidkeenna Daa'uudna uusan taas ogayn?
And so Nathan said to Bathsheba, the mother of Solomon: “Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has begun to reign, and that our lord David is ignorant of this?
12 Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed waan ku baryayaaye, Bal kaalay aan kula taliyee, si aad u badbaadiso naftaada iyo nafta wiilkaaga Sulaymaanba.
Now then, come, accept my counsel, and save your life and the life of your son Solomon.
13 Haddaba tag oo u gal Boqor Daa'uud, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, miyaadan anoo addoontaada ah iigu dhaaran oo odhan, Hubaal dabaday waxaa boqor ahaan doona wiilkaaga Sulaymaan, carshigayguuna ku fadhiisan doonaa? Haddaba Adoniiyaah muxuu boqor u noqday?
Go and enter to king David, and say to him: ‘Did you not, my lord the king, swear to me, your handmaid, saying: “Your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he himself shall sit on my throne?” Then why does Adonijah reign?’
14 Oo bal eeg, intaad boqorka la hadlayso ayaan anna kaa daba iman doonaa, oo waxaan sii adkayn doonaa erayadaada.
And while you are still speaking with the king there, I will enter after you, and I will complete your words.”
15 Markaasaa Batshebac waxay boqorkii ugu gashay qolkii, oo boqorkuna aad buu u gaboobay; oo waxaa boqorka u adeegaysay Abiishag tii reer Shuuneem.
And so Bathsheba entered to the king in the bedroom. Now the king was very old, and Abishag, the Shunammite, was ministering to him.
16 Oo Batshebacna intay foororsatay ayay boqorkii u sujuudday. Markaasaa boqorkii wuxuu ku yidhi, Naa maxaad doonaysaa?
Bathsheba bowed herself, and she reverenced the king. And the king said to her, “What do you wish?”
17 Markaasay ku tidhi, Sayidow, anoo addoontaada ah waxaad iigu dhaaratay magaca Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah, adoo leh, Hubaal dabaday waxaa boqor ahaan doona wiilkaaga Sulaymaan, carshigayguuna ku fadhiisan doonaa.
And responding, she said: “My lord, you swore to your handmaid, by the Lord your God: ‘your son Solomon will reign after me, and he himself shall sit upon my throne.’
18 Oo haddaba bal eeg, waxaa boqor ah Adoniiyaah, oo adna, sayidow, boqorkaygiiyow, taas ma ogid!
And now behold, Adonijah reigns, while you, my lord the king, are ignorant of it.
19 Oo isagu wuxuu qalay dibi iyo neefaf shishilis iyo ido badan, oo wuxuu u yeedhay ilmo boqor oo dhan, iyo wadaadka Aabyaataar ah, iyo Yoo'aab oo ah sirkaalkii ciidanka; laakiinse uma uu yeedhin addoonkaaga Sulaymaan.
He has slain oxen, and every kind of fattened cattle, and many rams. And he has summoned all the sons of the king, as well as Abiathar, the priest, and Joab, the leader of the military. But Solomon, your servant, he did not summon.
20 Oo adna, sayidow, boqorkaygiiyow, indhihii dadka dalka Israa'iil oo dhammu adigay ku soo fiirinayaan, inaad u sheegtid qofka ku fadhiisan doona carshigaaga dabadaa, boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow.
Truly now, my lord the king, the eyes of all of Israel look with favor upon you, that you may indicate to them who ought to sit upon your throne, my lord the king, after you.
21 Haddii kalese, boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, markaad dhimatid oo aad awowayaashaa la seexatid, aniga iyo wiilkayga Sulaymaanba waxaa lagu tirin doonaa kuwa dembaabay.
Otherwise, this will be: when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, I and my son Solomon will be as sinners.”
22 Oo bal eeg, intii ay weli boqorkii la hadlaysay ayaa Nebi Naataan soo galay.
And while she was still speaking with the king, Nathan, the prophet, arrived.
23 Oo waxaa boqorkii loo soo sheegay, oo lagu yidhi, Waa kan Nebi Naataan. Oo isna markuu soo galay, oo uu boqorkii hor yimid, ayuu ku sujuuday boqorka hortiisa, oo wejigiisuu dhulka saaray.
And they announced to the king, saying, “Nathan, the prophet, is here.” And when he had entered in the sight of the king, and he had reverenced prone on the ground,
24 Markaasaa Naataan wuxuu yidhi, Boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, ma waxaad tidhi, Aniga dabaday waxaa boqor ahaan doona Adoniiyaah, carshigayguuna ku fadhiisan doonaa?
Nathan said: “My lord the king, did you say, ‘Let Adonijah reign after me, and let him sit upon my throne?’
25 Waayo, isagu maantuu tegey, oo qalay dibi iyo neefaf shishilis, iyo ido badan, oo wuxuu u yeedhay ilma boqor oo dhan, iyo saraakiishii ciidanka, iyo wadaadka Aabyaataar ah, oo bal eeg, iyana hortiisay wax ku cunayaan, oo wax ku cabbayaan, oo waxay leeyihiin, Boqor Adoniiyaah ha noolaado.
For today, he descended, and he immolated oxen, and fattened cattle, and many rams. And he summoned all the sons of the king, and the leaders of the army, along with Abiathar, the priest. And they are eating and drinking before him, and saying, ‘As king Adonijah lives.’
26 Laakiinse anigoo addoonkaaga ah, iyo wadaadka Saadooq ah, iyo Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaac, iyo addoonkaaga Sulaymaan ah midna uma uu yeedhin.
But he did not summon me, your servant, and Zadok, the priest, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and Solomon, your lowly servant.
27 Ma adaa waxan sameeyey, boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, adoo aan weli addoommadaada ogeysiin kii carshiga ku fadhiisan lahaa dabadaa, boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow?
Could this word have gone out from my lord the king, and could you not have revealed it to me, your servant, as to who would be seated upon the throne of my lord the king after him?”
28 Markaasaa Boqor Daa'uud wuxuu ugu jawaabay, Iigu yeedha Batshebac. Oo iyana way timid, wayna soo gashay meeshii boqorku joogay, oo soo hor istaagtay boqorkii.
And king David responded, saying, “Summon to me Bathsheba.” And when she had entered before the king, and she had stood before him,
29 Markaasaa boqorkii dhaartay oo yidhi, Waxaan ku dhaartay Rabbigii naftayda cidhiidhi oo dhan ka samatabbixiyey,
the king swore and said: “As the Lord lives, who has rescued my soul from all distress,
30 oo sida runta ah waxaan kuugu dhaartay Rabbiga ah Ilaaha dadka dalka Israa'iil, oo aan kugu idhi, Hubaal aniga dabaday waxaa boqor ahaan doona wiilkaaga Sulaymaan, carshigayguuna ku fadhiisan doonaa dabaday, haddaba sida runta ah taas maantaan samaynayaa.
just as I swore to you by the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he himself shall sit upon my throne in my place,’ so shall I do this day.”
31 Markaasaa Batshebac foororsatay oo wejigeedii dhulka saartay, oo waxay u sujuudday boqorkii oo tidhi, Boqor Daa'uudow, sayidkaygiiyow, weligaaba noolow.
And Bathsheba, having lowered her face to the ground, reverenced the king, saying, “May my lord David live forever.”
32 Oo Boqor Daa'uudna wuxuu yidhi, Iigu yeedha wadaadka Saadooq ah, iyo Nebi Naataan, iyo Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaac. Oo iyana boqorkay hor yimaadeen.
And king David said, “Summon to me Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada.” And when they had entered before the king,
33 Markaasaa boqorkii wuxuu ku yidhi iyagii, Addoommadayda kaxaysta, oo wiilkayga Sulaymaanna waxaad fuushiisaan baqalkayga oo waxaad geeysaan Giixoon.
he said to them: “Take with you the servants of your lord, and place my son Solomon upon my mule. And lead him to Gihon.
34 Oo wadaadka Saadooq ah iyo Nebi Naataan isaga halkaas ha ku subkeen, oo ha ka dhigeen boqorkii dalka Israa'iil; oo markaas waxaad afuuftaan buunka oo waxaad tidhaahdaan, Boqor Sulaymaan ha noolaado.
And let Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, anoint him in that place as the king over Israel. And you shall sound the trumpet, and you shall say, ‘As king Solomon lives.’
35 Dabadeedna waa inaad soo raacdaan isaga, oo isna waa inuu yimaado, oo carshigayga ku fadhiisto; waayo, meeshaydii isagaa boqor ka noqon doona, oo waxaan ka dhigay amiir u taliya dalka Israa'iil iyo dalka Yahuudah.
And you shall ascend after him, and he shall arrive and shall sit upon my throne. And he himself shall reign in my place. And I will command that he be the ruler over Israel and over Judah.”
36 Markaasaa Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaac boqorkii ugu jawaabay, Aamiin, oo saas ha yidhaahdo Ilaahaagu, Boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow.
And Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, responded to the king, saying: “Amen. So says the Lord, the God of my lord the king.
37 Oo sidii Rabbigu uu kuula jiray, Boqorow, sayidkaygiiyow, saas oo kale ha ula jiro Sulaymaanna, oo carshigiisana ha ka dhigo mid ka sii weyn carshigaagii, Boqor Daa'uudow, sayidkaygiiyow.
In the same way that the Lord has been with my lord the king, so may he be with Solomon. And may he make his throne more sublime than the throne of my lord, king David.”
38 Sidaas daraaddeed wadaadkii Saadooq ahaa, iyo Nebi Naataan, iyo Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaac, iyo reer Kereetiim, iyo kuwii reer Feleetiiba way wada tageen, oo Sulaymaanna waxay fuushiiyeen baqalkii Boqor Daa'uud, oo waxay isagii geeyeen Giixoon.
Then Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, descended, with Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and Pelethites. And they placed Solomon on the mule of king David, and they led him to Gihon.
39 Markaasaa wadaadkii Saadooq ahaa wuxuu Teendhada kala soo baxay geeskii saliidda ahaa, oo wuxuu ugu subkay Sulaymaan. Kolkaasay buunkii afuufeen, oo dadkii oo dhammuna waxay yidhaahdeen, Boqor Sulaymaan ha noolaado.
And Zadok, the priest, took the horn of oil from the tabernacle, and he anointed Solomon. And they sounded the trumpet. And all the people said, “As king Solomon lives.”
40 Oo dadkii oo dhammuna isagii bay soo raaceen, oo dadkii waxay ka dhawaajiyeen biibiilayaal, oo aad iyo aadna way u farxeen, sidaas daraaddeed dhulkii wuxuu la dillaacay dhawaaqoodii.
And the entire multitude ascended after him. And the people were playing on pipes, and rejoicing with great joy. And the earth resounded before the noise of them.
41 Oo Adoniiyaah iyo martidiisii isaga la joogtay oo dhammuna taasay maqleen markay cunitaankii dhammeeyeen. Oo Yoo'aabna markuu maqlay dhawaaqii buunka ayuu yidhi, War waa maxay qaylada iyo buuqa magaaladii ka dhacay?
Then Adonijah, and all who had been summoned by him, heard it. And now the feast had ended. Then, too, Joab, hearing the voice of the trumpet, said, “What is the meaning of this clamor from the tumultuous city?”
42 Oo intuu weli hadlayay ayaa waxaa yimid Yoonaataan wiilkii wadaadkii Aabyaataar ahaa. Kolkaasaa Adoniiyaah ku yidhi, Soo gal, waayo, nin ragaad tahay, oo war wanaagsan baad waddaaye.
While he was still speaking, Jonathan, the son of Abiathar the priest, arrived. And Adonijah said to him, “Enter, for you are a valiant man, and you report good news.”
43 Markaasaa Yoonaataan ugu jawaabay Adoniiyaah, Sida runta ah Sayidkeenna Boqor Daa'uud wuxuu boqor ka dhigay Sulaymaan.
And Jonathan answered Adonijah: “By no means. For our lord king David has appointed Solomon as king.
44 Oo boqorkiina wuxuu raaciyey isagii wadaadkii Saadooq ahaa iyo Nebi Naataan, iyo Benaayaah ina Yehooyaadaac, iyo kuwii reer Kereetiim, iyo kuwii reer Feleetii, oo iyana waxay isagii fuushiiyeen baqalkii boqorka!
And he has sent with him Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and Pelethites. And they have placed him on the mule of the king.
45 Markaasaa wadaadkii Saadooq ahaa iyo Nebi Naataan isagii u subkeen oo Giixoon ku boqreen, oo halkaasay ka yimaadeen iyagoo faraxsan, saas aawadeed ayay magaaladii haddana u buuqday. Oo qayladii aad maqasheen waa taas.
And Zadok, the priest, and Nathan, the prophet, have anointed him king, at Gihon. And they are ascending from there, rejoicing, and so the city resounds. This is the noise that you have heard.
46 Oo haddana Sulaymaan wuxuu ku fadhiistay carshigii boqortooyada.
But also, Solomon sits upon the throne of the kingdom.
47 Oo weliba addoommadii boqorku waxay u yimaadeen inay u duceeyaan sayidkeenna Boqor Daa'uud, oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Ilaahaagu magaca Sulaymaan ha ka dhigo mid ka sii wanaagsan magacaaga, oo carshigiisana ha ka sii weyneeyo carshigaaga, oo boqorkiina wuxuu ku kor foororsaday sariirtiisii.
And the servants of the king, entering, have blessed our lord king David, saying: ‘May God amplify the name of Solomon above your name, and may he magnify his throne above your throne.’ And the king reverenced from his bed.
48 Oo weliba boqorkii wuxuu yidhi, Waxaa mahad leh Rabbiga ah Ilaaha dadka Israa'iil, oo maanta siiyey mid carshigaygii ku fadhiista iyadoo ay indhahaygu arkaan.
And he said: ‘Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel, who today has bestowed someone to sit upon my throne, while my eyes may see it.’”
49 Oo Adoniiyaah martidiisii oo dhammuna way wada cabsadeen, oo intay kaceen ayaa nin waluba meeshiisii tegey.
Therefore, all those who had been summoned by Adonijah were terrified. And they all rose up, and each one went his own way.
50 Oo Adoniiyaahna wuxuu ka cabsaday Sulaymaan, markaasuu tegey oo qabsaday geesihii meeshii allabariga.
Then Adonijah, fearing Solomon, rose up and went away. And he took hold of the horn of the altar.
51 Oo waxaa taas loo soo sheegay Sulaymaan oo lagu yidhi, Bal eeg, Adoniiyaah ayaa kaa cabsaday, Boqor Sulaymaanow, oo wuxuu qabsaday geesihii meeshii allabariga, oo yidhi, Boqor Sulaymaan maanta ha ii dhaarto inuusan anoo addoonkiisa ah seef igu dilayn.
And they reported to Solomon, saying: “Behold, Adonijah, fearing king Solomon, has taken hold of the horn of the altar, saying: ‘May king Solomon swear to me this day that he will not put to death his servant with the sword.’”
52 Markaasaa Sulaymaan wuxuu yidhi, Hadduu isu muujiyo sida nin qumman, xataa tin keliyuhu dhulka kaga dhici maayo, laakiinse haddii xumaan laga helo, wuu dhiman doonaa.
And Solomon said: “If he is a good man, not so much as one hair of his head shall fall to the ground. But if evil is found in him, he shall die.”
53 Sidaas daraaddeed Boqor Sulaymaan wuu u cid diray, oo waxaa laga soo kaxeeyey meeshii allabariga. Oo isna wuu yimid oo u sujuuday Boqor Sulaymaan, oo Sulaymaanna wuxuu ku yidhi, Orod, gurigaagii tag.
Therefore, king Solomon sent and brought him from the altar. And entering, he reverenced king Solomon. And Solomon said to him, “Go to your own house.”
