Boqorradii Kowaad 21

1 Oo waxyaalahaas dabadood waxay noqotay in Naabood oo ahaa reer Yesreceel uu lahaa beer canab ah oo Yesreceel ku tiil ee uu dhowayd gurigii Axaab oo ahaa boqorkii Samaariya.

And Achaab numbered the young men the heads of the districts, and they were two hundred and thirty: and afterwards he numbered the people, [even] every man fit for war, seven thousand.

2 Oo Axaab baa Naabood la hadlay, oo ku yidhi, Beertaada canabka ah i sii aan beer khudrad ah ka dhigtee, maxaa yeelay, waxay u dhow dahay gurigayga, oo adigana waxaan ku siinayaa beer canab ah oo iyada ka sii wanaagsan, amase haddii ay kula wanaagsan tahay, waxaan ku siinayaa qiimeheeda oo lacag ah.

And he went forth at noon, an the son of Ader was drinking [and] getting drunk in Socchoth, he and the kings, [even] thirty and two kings, his allies.

3 Markaasaa Naabood wuxuu Axaab ku yidhi, Ilaah ha iga hayo inaan dhaxalkii awowayaashay ku siiyo.

And the young men the heads of the districts went forth first; and they send and report to the king of Syria, saying, There are men come forth out of Samaria.

4 Markaasaa Axaab wuxuu yimid gurigiisii isagoo calool xun oo ka xanaaqsan eraygii Naabood kii reer Yesreceel isaga kula hadlay; maxaa yeelay, wuxuu isaga ku yidhi, Ku siin maayo dhaxalkii awowayaashay. Markaasuu sariirtiisii jiifsaday, wuuna sii jeestay, oo diiday inuu wax cuno.

And he said to them, If they come forth peaceably, take them alive; and if they come forth to war, take them alive:

5 Laakiinse naagtiisii Yesebeel ayaa u timid oo waxay ku tidhi, War maxaa naftaadu u qulubsan tahay oo aad kibis la cuni weyday?

and let not the young men the heads of the districts go forth of the city. And the force that was behind them

6 Markaasuu iyadii ku yidhi, Naa waxaan la hadlay Naabood kii reer Yesreceel, oo aan ku idhi, Beertaada canabka ah lacag iga siiso, ama haddii kale oo ay kula wanaagsan tahay waxaan kaa siisanayaa beer kale oo canab ah, oo isna wuxuu iigu jawaabay, Beertayda ku siin maayo.

smote each one the man next to him; and each one a second time smote the man next to him: and Syria fled, and Israel pursued them; and the son of Ader, [even] the king of Syria, escapes on the horse of a horseman.

7 Markaasaa naagtiisii Yesebeel waxay ku tidhi, War miyaadan haatan u talin boqortooyada Israa'iil? Haddaba kac oo wax cun, oo qalbigaagana ka farxi; anigaa ku siinaya Naabood ka reer Yesreceel beertiisa canabka ah.

And the king of Israel went forth, and took all the horses and the chariots, and smote [the enemy] with a great slaughter in Syria.

8 Sidaas daraaddeed warqado ayay ku qortay Axaab magiciisii oo waxay ku shaabadaysay shaabaddiisii. Oo waxay warqadihii u dirtay odayaashii iyo kuwii gobta ahaa ee magaaladiisii Naabood la degganaa.

And the prophet came to the king of Israel, and said, Strengthen thyself, and observe, and see what thou shalt do; for at the return of the year the son of Ader king of Syria comes up against thee.

9 Oo waxay warqadaha ku qortay oo ku tidhi, War waxaad naadisaan oo tidhaahdaan, Ha la soomo; oo Naaboodna dadka ka sarraysiiya.

And the servants of the king of Syria, even they said, The God of Israel [is] a God of mountains, and not a God of valleys; therefore has he prevailed against us: but if we should fight against them in the plain, verily we shall prevail against them.

10 Oo hortiisana waxaad fadhiisisaan laba nin oo waxmatarayaal ah, oo iyana isaga ha ku marag fureen, oo ha ku yidhaahdeen, Adigu waxaad cayday Ilaah iyo boqorka. Markaas isaga dibadda u bixiya oo dhagaxyo la dhaca si uu u dhinto.

And do thou this thing: Send away the kings, each one to his place, and set princes in their stead.

11 Oo dadkii magaaladiisii la degganaa ee ahaa odayaashii iyo kuwii gobta ahaa waxay yeeleen sidii Yesebeel u soo fartay oo ahayd sidii ku qornayd warqadihii ay iyaga u dirtay.

And we will give thee [another] army according to the army that was destroyed, and cavalry according to the cavalry, and chariots according to the chariots, and we will fight against them in the plain, and we shall prevail against them. And he hearkened to their voice, and did so.

12 Waxay naadiyeen oo yidhaahdeen, Ha la soomo, oo Naaboodna ayay dadka ka sarraysiiyeen.

And it came to pass at the return of the year, that the son of Ader reviewed Syria, and went up to Apheca to war against Israel.

13 Oo waxaa yimid oo hortiisa fadhiistay laba nin oo waxmatarayaal ah, markaasaa waxmatarayaashii Naabood ku marag fureen dadka hortiisii, oo waxay yidhaahdeen, Naabood wuxuu caayay Ilaah iyo boqorkaba. Markaasay isagii magaaladii ka saareen, oo waxay la dhaceen dhagaxyo, wuuna dhintay.

And the children of Israel were numbered, and came to meet them: and Israel encamped before them as two little flocks of goats, but Syria filled the land.

14 Markaasay Yesebeel farriin u direen oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Naabood waa la dhagxiyey, wuuna dhintay.

And there came the man of God, and said to the king of Israel, Thus saith the Lord, Because Syria has said, The Lord God of Israel [is] a God of the hills, and he [is] not a God of the valleys, therefore will I give this great army into thy hand, and thou shalt know that I [am] the Lord.

15 Markii Yesebeel ay maqashay in Naabood la dhagxiyey oo uu dhintay, ayay Yesebeel Axaab ku tidhi, War kac oo iska qaado beertii canabka ahayd oo Naabood kii reer Yesreceel ee uu hore inuu lacag kaa siisto kuugu diiday; waayo, haatan Naabood ma noola, wuuse dhintay.

And they encamp one over against the other before them seven days. And it came to pass on the seventh day that the battle drew on, and Israel smote Syria, [even] a hundred thousand footmen in one day.

16 Oo markii Axaab maqlay in Naabood dhintay ayaa Axaab wuxuu u kacay inuu u dhaadhaco oo iska qaato beertii Naabood kii reer Yesreceel.

And the rest fled to Apheca, into the city; and the wall fell upon twenty-seven thousand men that were left: and the son of Ader fled, and entered into an inner chamber, into a closet.

17 Oo Eraygii Rabbiga ayaa u yimid Eliiyaah kii reer Tishbii, isagoo leh,

And he said to his servants, I know that the kings of Israel are merciful kings: let us now put sackcloth upon our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and let us go forth to the king of Israel, if by any means he will save our souls alive.

18 War sara joogso, oo u dhaadhac boqorka dalka Israa'iil oo Axaab ah oo Samaariya deggan; oo bal eeg, wuxuu ku dhex jiraa beertii canabka ahayd oo Naabood, halkaasoo uu ugu dhaadhacay inuu iska qaato.

So they girt sackcloth upon their loins, and put ropes upon their heads, and said to the king of Israel, Thy servant the son of Ader says, Let our souls live, I pray thee. And he said, Does he yet live? He is my brother.

19 Waa inaad isaga la hadashaa, oo waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Rabbigu wuxuu kugu leeyahay, War ma wax baad dishay, oo haddana ma wax baad qaadatay? Oo haddana isaga waxaad ku tidhaahdaa, Rabbigu wuxuu kugu leeyahay, Meeshii eeyuhu ka leefleefeen dhiiggii Naabood ayaa adiga dhiiggaagana eeyo ka leefleefi doonaan.

And the men divined, and offered drink-offerings; and they caught the word out of his mouth, and said, Thy brother the son of Ader. And he said, Go ye in and fetch him. And the son of Ader went out to him, and they cause him to go up to him into the chariot.

20 Markaasaa Axaab wuxuu ku yidhi Eliiyaah, Cadowgaygiiyow, haddana ma i heshay? Oo isna wuxuu ugu jawaabay, Haah, waan ku helay, maxaa yeelay, waxaad isu iibisay inaad Rabbiga hortiisa wax shar ah ku samayso.

And he said to him, The cities which my father took from thy father I will restore to thee; and thou shalt make streets for thyself in Damascus, as my father made streets in Samaria; and I will let thee go with a covenant. And he made a covenant with him, and let him go.

21 Oo bal ogow, Axaabow, belaayo baan kugu soo dejin doonaa, oo farcankaaga waan kaa qaadi doonaa, oo waxaan kaa baabbi'in doonaa wiil kasta, ha ahaado mid kasta oo dalka Israa'iil ku dhex xidhan ama mid kasta oo ku dhex furan.

And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbour by the word of the Lord, Smite me, I pray, And the man would not smite him.

22 Oo reerkaagana waxaan ka dhigi doonaa sidii reerkii Yaaraabcaam ina Nebaad iyo sidii reerkii Bacshaa ina Axiiyaah, sababtuna waxa weeye xanaaqii aad iga xanaajisay oo aad dadkii Israa'iilna dembaajisay aawadiis.

And he said to him, Because thou hast not hearkened to the voice of the Lord, therefore, behold, as thou departest from me, a lion shall smite thee: and he departed from him, and a lion found him, and smote him.

23 Oo Yesebeelna Rabbigu wuu ka hadlay oo yidhi, Yesebeel eeyuhu waa ku cuni doonaan derbiga Yesreceel agtiisa.

And he finds another man, and says, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, and in smiting wounded [him].

24 Oo Axaab dadkiisa kii magaalada kaga dhinta waxaa cuni doona eeyaha; oo kii duurka kaga dhintana waxaa cuni doona haadka samada.

And the prophet went and stood before the king of Israel by the way, and bound his eyes with a bandage.

25 (Laakiinse lama arag qof Axaab la mid ah oo isu iibiyey inuu sameeyo wax Rabbiga hortiisa shar ku ah, kaasoo ay kicisay naagtiisii Yesebeel.

And it came to pass as the king passed by, that he cried aloud to the king, and said, Thy servant went out to war, and, behold, a man brought [another] man to me, and said to me, Keep his man; and if he should by any means escape, then thy life shall go for his life, or thou shalt pay a talent of silver.

26 Oo wax aad karaahiyo u ah ayuu sameeyey markuu sanamyo raacay oo uu u wada sameeyey siday sameeyeen reer Amor kii Rabbigu ka tuuray dadka Israa'iil hortooda.)

And it came to pass, that thy servant looked round this way and that way, and the man was gone. And the king of Israel said to him, Behold, thou hast also destroyed snares [set] for me.

27 Kolkii Axaab erayadaas maqlay ayuu dharkiisii jeexjeexay, oo joonyado guntaday, wuuna soomay, oo joonyado ku dhex seexday, oo aayar u socday.

And he hasted, and took away the bandage from his eyes; and the king of Israel recognized him, that he was one of the prophets.

28 Oo haddana eraygii Rabbigu wuxuu u yimid Eliiyaah kii reer Tishbii oo ku yidhi,

And he said to him, Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast suffered to escape out of thine hand a man appointed to destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.

29 War sow uma jeeddid siduu Axaab hortayda isugu hoosaysiiyey? Sharka ku soo dejin maayo intuu isagu nool yahay, maxaa yeelay, isagu hortayduu isku hoosaysiiyey; laakiinse sharka waxaan reerkiisa ku soo dejin doonaa wakhtiga wiilkiisa.

And the king of Israel departed confounded and discouraged, and came to Samaria.
