1 Ubanushe bantu kwambeti babenga babombelela kubatangunishi ne bendeleshi babo ne kubanyumfwila kayi nekulibambila kwinsa mulimo waina,
Remind them to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rule, to be ready to every good work,
2 kayi batambanga byaipa pa banabo nambi kuyambana, nsombi kuba babombelela ne kulesha bulemu kumuntu uliyense.
to speak evil of no one, not to be quarrelsome—gentle, showing all meekness to all men,
3 Pakwinga nenjafwe tobene twalikuba baluya, batanyumfwili kayi balubila. Twalikuba basha balunkumbwa lwa mubili kayi ne byakulikondwelesha byapusana pusana. Twalikwikala mubuyumi bwa miyeyo yakupatana ne munyono. Bantu balikuba batupata kayi nenjafwe twalikuba twabapata.
for we, also, were once thoughtless, disobedient, led astray, serving manifold desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, odious—hating one another;

and when the kindness and the love to men of God our Savior appeared

which He poured on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior,

that having been declared righteous by His grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of continuous life. (aiōnios g166)
8 Makani awa nakubinga. Ndayandanga kwambeti makani awa wakambauke cangofu kwambeti bashome muli Lesa ne kulibenga kwinsa milimo yaina, iyo yeshikukondwelesha ne kunyamfwa bantu bonse.
The word [is] steadfast; and concerning these things I intend you to affirm fully, that they may be thoughtful, to be leading in good works—who have believed God; these are the good and profitable things to men,
9 Neco obe fumamo mubuyumi bwa kupikishana kwabuluya, kuyanda kulangaula mikondo ya mikowa, nekwambana, kayi ne kupikishanya pa bintu bya Milawo, pakwinga ibi nkabikute kunyamfwa kayi kuliya mobibelele.
but stand away from foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about law—for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 Muntu weshikuleta lupatuko pakati penu umucenjeshe mankanda abili, kufuma apo umusule.
Reject a heretical man, after a first and second admonition,
11 Ucinshi muntu wamushoboyu ni wazelezeka kayi kuzelezeka kwakendi kulalesheti walubila.
having known that he has been subverted who [is] such, and sins, being self-condemned.
12 Ndakatumunga Atema ne Tukiko kuli njobe, ukeleshe cangofu kwisa kuli njame ku Nikopoli, pakwinga enkondayeyenga akwikala mucindi ca mupewo.
When I will send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me to Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there.
13 Weleshe cangofu kunyamfwa Zena shimilawo, ne Apolo, pabulwendo bwabo, nekuboneti bintu byonse byayandika kuli endibo bilakwana.
Diligently send forth Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way, that nothing to them may be lacking,
14 Bantu betu belela kwiya kulibenga kwinsa bintu byaina, kwambeti banyamfwilishe mubintu bilayandikinga, kutambeti bekalenga mubuyumi bwabula pindu.
and let them learn—ours also—to be leading in good works to the necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.
15 Bonse mbotuli nabo balamupanga mitende. Utupeleko mitende banetu bashoma, luse lwa Lesa lube nenjamwe mwense.
All those with me greet you. Greet those cherishing us in faith. The grace [is] with you all!
