But do you inculcate the things which become wholesome doctrine:
2 Neco ubambile batuloba bamakulene kwambeti beshikulikanisha, babe beshikwinsa byacikulene, bamanjeyaulwa alulama, bayuma mulushomo, kayi balusuno, kayi batabwelele panyuma.
that aged men be vigilant, grave, prudent, healthy by faith, love, patience.
3 Kayi naboyo batukashi bensenga byeshikukondwelesha Lesa, belela kuba babombelela mubwikalo bwabo, babula mpyata, nambi basha ba byakunwa bikola. Neco belela kwiyisha bintu byaina,
That aged women, in like manner, be in deportment as becomes sacred persons--not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, good teachers;
4 Lino bayishenga batukashi batwanike kuba ne lusuno kuli ba maibabo ne bana,
that they may persuade the young women to be lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children--
5 babe beshikulikanisha, beshikusebensa cena pang'anda, kayi bankumbo, balicepesha ku baibabo kwambeti Maswi a Lesa katepishiwa.
to be calm, chaste, careful of their families, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be defamed.
6 Copeleco ambilako batuloba bamisepela kuba beshikulikanisha.
The young men, in like manner, exhort to govern their passions.
7 Lino munshila iliyonse welela kuba muntu wabula kampenda ne kwinsa milimo yaina, kayi welela kwiyisha cabulemu.
In all things make yourself a pattern of good works: in teaching, show incorruptness, gravity,
8 Cindi conse sebenseshani maswi ayina abula kampenda, kwambeti abo balamulwananga banyumfwe nsoni, kayi babule kucikonsha kwamba maswi ayipa palinjafwe.
wholesome speech which can not be condemned; that he who is on the opposite side may be ashamed, having nothing bad to say concerning you.
9 Basha belela kunyumfwila baleli babo ne kubakondwelesha mubintu byonse, kayi nkabelela kupikishanya nabo,
Exhort servants to be subject to their own masters, and in all things be careful to please, not answering again,
10 nambi kubebila bintu. Nsombi belela kubonesha kwina moyo kwakendi pakwiyisha maswi a Lesa Mupulushi wetu.
not secretly stealing, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 Pakwinga Lesa walayubulula luse lwakendi kwambeti bantu bonse bapulushiwe.
For the favor of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men;

expecting the blessed hope; namely, the appearing of the glory of the great God, and of our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Nendi walalibenga kutufuna kubwipishi bonse nekutuswepesha kwambeti tube bantu bakendi balibambila kwinsa bintu byaina.
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 Ibi embyowela kubeyisha, wela kubayuminisha, kayi ne kukansa cangofu abo balakutikinga. Kakutaba muntu nambi umo shikukunyansha.
These things inculcate, and exhort, and reprove with all authority; let no one despise you.
