1 Mobanse cintu nconkute kuyandishisha ne moyo wakame wonse, kayi kusenga kwakame kuli Lesa nikwakwambeti Baislayeli baname bakapuluke.
Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is for their salvation.
2 Ndamushomeshenga kwambeti nabo nibantu balibenga pa mulimo wa Lesa, nsombi kulibenga kwabo nkakwashimpa pa lwinshibo.
For I testify about them that they are zealous for God, but not on the basis of knowledge.
3 Nkabainshi nshila Lesa, njakute kubalulamikilamo bantu pamenso akendi, nsombi balelekesha kulilulamika bonka, kwakutakonka nshila iyo Lesa njakute kululamikilamo.
Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.
4 Yesu Klistu ewalikuba mapwililisho a Milawo ya Mose, kwambeti uliyense lashomonga akacanike walulama pa menso a Lesa.
For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.
5 Kwamba sha bululami bukute kucanika mukunyumfwila Milawo, Mose mu Mubala walambeti, “Uliyense lakonkelenga Milawo nakabe ne buyumi.”
For concerning the righteousness that is by the law, Moses writes: “The man who does these things will live by them.”
6 Nsombi Mabala alambangeti, twamba sha bululami bukute kubapo pakushoma nibwa kwambeti, “Utamba mumoyo wakobeti, ‘Niyani eshakenga Kwilu.” Uku ekwambeti Klistu aseluke.
But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down)
7 Kayi utamba mu moyo eti, “Niyani eshakenga kucishi ca bantu bafwa, ekwambeti akupundusha Klistu kubafu? (Abyssos g12)
or, ‘Who will descend into the Abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” (Abyssos g12)
8 Ncecilambanga nikwambeti, “Maswi nkalipo kutali sobwe, nsombi ali pamulomo pakobe, ne mumoyo wakobe.” Awa emaswi akushoma ayo ngotukute kukambauka.
But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
9 Na ulasuminishinga ne mulomo wakobe kwambeti Yesu ni Mwami, kayi na washoma mumoyo wakobeti Lesa walamupundusha kubafu nukapuluke.
that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 Pakwinga na muntu lashomo ne moyo wakendi, ukute kuba walulama pamenso a Lesa, kayi na lasuminishi ne mulomo wakendi ukute kupuluka.
For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.
11 Pakwinga Mabala akute kwambeti, “Muntu uliyense washoma, nteshi akanyumfwe nsoni.”
It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”
12 Neco paliya kupusana pakati pa Bayuda ne bantu ba mishobo naimbi, pakwinga Lesa endiye Mwami wabonse, kayi eukute kuleleka bonse bakute kumusenga.
For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him,
13 Mbuli Mabala ncakute kwambeti, “Uliyense eshakasenge mulina lya Mwami nakapuluke.”
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 Nomba bantu ngabamukuweconi Mwami kwambeti abanyamfwe na nkabamushoma? Nomba ngabashomaconi na baliya kunyumfwa sha endiye? Lino ngabanyumfwaconi na paliya lakambaukunga?
How then can they call on the One in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach?
15 Nomba bantu ngabakambaukaconi na kuliya labatumu? Pakwinga Mabala akute kwambeti, “Nicintu cakondwelesha kubona beshikukambauka Mulumbe Waina kabesa.”
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
16 Nsombi nte bonse balautambula Mulumbe Waina. Mbuli mushinshimi Yesaya ncalambeti, “Mwami, nibani balashoma mbyotwalakambauka?”
But not all of them welcomed the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”
17 Neco lushomo lukute kwisa kupitila mukunyumfwa Mulumbe Waina, kayi kunyumfwa Mulumbe Waina ukute kwisa kufuma mukambauka sha Klistu.
Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
18 Sena nicakubinga nkabalanyumfwa maswi awa? Sobwe, kunyumfwa balanyumfwa nditu. Mbuli Mabala ncalambangeti, “Liswi lyabo lyalanyumfwika pa cishi capanshi conse, maswi abo alashika ku mapwililisho a cishi.”
But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
19 Kayi ndepushunga, Sena Baislayeli nkabalanyumfwishisha maswi ayo? Mose ewalakumbula mwipusho uwu. Walambeti, “Nindimunyumfwishe munyono ne mushobo wabula kuba wancinencine, nindimupesheti mukalalile mushobo wa bantu baluya.”
I ask instead, did Israel not understand? First, Moses says: “I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation without understanding.”
20 Nendi Yesaya walambapo mwangofu, eti “Balancana bantu abo balikubula kunangaula. Ndalabonekela ku bantu abo balikubula kwipusha sha njame.”
And Isaiah boldly says: “I was found by those who did not seek Me; I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me.”
21 Nsombi kuli Baislayeli ndalambeti, “Busuba bonse ndalatambika makasa akame kumushobo wa bantu balikubula kunyumfwila kayi beshikumbukila.”
But as for Israel he says: “All day long I have held out My hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”
