But at early morning dawn on the first day of the week (Nissan 17, the day of First Fruits #1), they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
2 Balacana libwe lyakunkulushiwapo pacishinga ca cumbwe.
They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

4 Kabacikankamana, balabonowa bantu babili balikuba bafwala byakufwala byabekema kabali bemana pepi nabo.
While they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.
5 Batukashi abo balatina nekukotama panshi. Lino bantu abo balabepusheti, “Mulamulangwelinga cani muntu muyumi pakati pa bafu?
Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6 Nkalimo muno, lapunduku. Kamwanuka maswi ngalamwambila mpwalikuba ku Galileya.
He is not here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee [District, Circuit],
7 Eti Mwana Muntu welela kuyabwa mumakasa a bantu baipa, nekupopwa palusanda, nekupunduka kubafu pakapita masuba atatu.”
saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinners devoted to sin ·miss the marks and be without share in the goal (and stained by definite crime vice)·, and be executed on the stake, and the third day rise again?”
8 Popelapo batukashi basa balanuka maswi aya.

Now they were Mary of Magdala [Rebellion of City tower], Joanna, and Mary [Rebellion] the mother of James [Surplanter]. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.
11 Nsombi maswi ayo kubeshikwiya alaboneka eti nikutamokowa, neco baliya kubashoma batukashi abo.
These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didn’t trust them.

13 Pabusuba ubo beshikwiya babili balikuya kumunshi walikukwiweti Emausi. Mushinso wa kufuma ku Emausi kushika ku Yelusalemu walikuba wa makilomita akwana likumi ne limo.
Behold, two of them were going that same day (Nissan 17) to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia [7.93 mi; 11.1 km] from Jerusalem [City of peace].

One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem [City of peace] who does not know the things which have happened there in these days?”
19 Yesu walepusheti, “Byamushobocini?” Lino balakumbuleti. Sha Yesu wa ku Nasaleti. Uyo muntu walikuba munshinshimi wali kwinsa bintu byangofu pamenso a Lesa ne bantu bonse.
He said to them, “What things?” They said to him, “The things concerning Yeshua [Salvation], the Nazarene [person from Branch, Separated one], who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;
20 Nsombi bamakulene beshimilumbo ne bakulene betu bambi balamutwala kwambeti apewe mulandu wakushinwa, kufumapo balamupopa palusanda.
and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and nailed him to the stake.

But we were hoping that it was he who would redeem Israel [God prevails]. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.
22 Lino kayi batukashi nabambi pakati petu balatukankamanisha. Nabo balaya kucumbwe mumene mene,
Also, certain women of our company amazed us, having arrived early at the tomb;

and when they didn’t find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24 Bambi mulikoto lyetu balaya kucumbwe ne kucana mbuli ncobalamba batukashi basa, nabo baliya kumubona Yesu.
Some of us went to the tomb, and found it just like the women had said, but they didn’t see him.”
25 Lino Yesu walabambileti, “Amwe mobantu baluya, bakute kubula kuyanda kushoma bwangu bintu byonse byalamba bashinshimi.
He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to trust in all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Sena nkamucinshi kwambeti mupulushi walaiwa usa walikwelela kunyumfwa byeshikubaba byonse ibi kwambeti engile mubulemu bwakendi?”
Didn’t the Messiah [Anointed one] have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”
27 Lino walabasansulwila byonse byalembwa mumalembo onse, kutatikila mumabuku a Mose mpaka ku bashinshimi bonse bilambanga palyendiye.
Beginning from Moses [Drawn out] and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 Mpobalashika pepi ne Yelusalemu, Yesu walenseti lapitililinga.
They came near to the village, where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.

They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over. (Finish of Nissan 17, nearing to the start of Nissan 18.)” He went in to stay with them.
30 Mpwalekala nabo pakulyela, Yesu walamanta shinkwa, walalumba Lesa, Kayi walakomona nekubayabila.
When he had sat down at the table with them, he took the matzah ·unleavened bread· and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave to them.
31 Popelapo menso abo alacaluka. Lino balamwinshiba popelapo walashimanganowa.
Their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished out of their sight.
32 Lino balatatika kwambilaneti, “Cancine ncine maswi akendi ayasanga mumoyo mpwatwambilanga munshila pasa, nekupandulula mabala.”
They said to one another, “Did not our hearts burn within us, while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”
33 Kufumapo balanyamuka nekubwelela ku Yelusalemu, uko nkobalacana beshikwiya likumi ne umo kabali babungana pamo nebanabo,

35 Lino naboyo babili basa, balasansulula calenshika munshila mpobalamwinshiba Mwami mpwalabakomwena shinkwa.

37 Balo balatilimuka nekutina pakwinga balayeyeti balabononga cipuku.
But they were terrified and filled with fear, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 Nendi walabambileti, “Nomba mulapengelenga cani ne kutoshana mumyoyo mwenu?
He said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?
39 Kamubona makasa nebimpanta byakame, kwambeti njame. Kamunjikata munyumfwe pakwinga cipuku ciliya musuni nebifupa mbuli mbyomulabonongeti ndibikute ame.”
See my hands and my feet, that it is truly me. Touch me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”
40 Lino mpwalambeco walababonesha makasa nebimpanta byakendi.
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Nabo baliya kushoma pakwinga balikuba bakondwa, kayi ne kukankamana. Lino walabepusheti, “Sena mukutepo byakulya pano?”
While they still didn’t trust for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
42 Balamupa cipansha ca nswi yakuyoka.
They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.
43 Walacitambula ne kulya bonse nkababonako.
He took them, and ate in front of them.
44 Lino walabambileti, “Ibi ebintu byondamwambila mpondalikuba nenjamwe. Pasa ndalikwambeti byonse byalembwa pali njame mu Milawo Lesa njalapa Mose, ne mumabuku abashinshimi, ne mulibuku lya kutembaula.”
He said to them, “This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the Torah ·Teaching· of Moses [Drawn out], the Prophets, and the Psalms [Praises], concerning me must be fulfilled.”
45 Lino walabanyafwa kwambeti banyufwishishe Mabala.
Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.
46 Walabambileti, “Byalalembwa nibi; Mupulushi welela kupenshewa ne kupunduka kubafu pabusuba bwabutatu.
He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Messiah [Anointed one] to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
47 Kwambeti mulina lyakendi Mulumbe Waina ukakambaukwe kubantu ba mishobo yonse, kutatikila ku Yelusalemu. Kwambeti basanduke mumoyo benseco neye Lesa empwela kubalekelela bwipishi bwabo.
and in his name teshuvah ·complete repentance· and remission of abstract sins ·miss the marks· should be preached to all the nations, starting with Jerusalem [City of peace].
48 Amwe mobakamboni pabintu ibi.
You are witnesses of these things.
49 Ninkamutumine cipo ico Bata ncobalashomesha, nsombi mwelela kwikala mumunshi muno kushikila mukatambule ngofu sheti shikafume kwilu.”
Behold, I send out the promise of 'Avi ·my Father· on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem [City of peace] until you are clothed with power from on high.”
50 Lino Yesu walabatangunina kufuma mumunshi umo kuya kushika ku Betaniya. Kopeloko walatambika makasa akendi nekubaleleka.
He led them out as far as Bethany [House of affliction], and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.

53 Cindi conse balikucanika mu Ng'anda ya Lesa kabalumbaisha Lesa.
and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen ·So be it·.
