< Yohane 5 >

1 Panyuma pakendi kwalikuba kusekelela kwa Bayuda, ku Yelusalemu neye Yesu walayako
Afterward there was a Jewish festival, and Jesus went to Jerusalem.
2 Lino kopeloko pepi necishinga cambelele, kwalikuba kalishiba ka menshi kalikukwiweti Betsaida mumbali mwalishiba ili mwalikuba mwebakwa tumanda tubili.
Now there is at Jerusalem, nigh the sheep gate, a bath, called, in Hebrew, Bethesda, which has five covered walks.
3 Mu tumandomo mwalikona bantu bangi balwashi, balema ne bashipilwa kayi ne bakokonyana mibili
In these lay a great number of sick, blind, lame, and palsied people, waiting for the moving of the water,
4 (Pakwinga mungelo walikufandaula menshi, neco mulwashi walikwingila bwangu mumenshi walikushilikwa.)
(for a messenger at times descended into the bath, and agitated the water; and the first that stepped in, after the agitation of the water, was cured of whatever disease he had.)
5 Nomba pa bantu balwashi abo palikuba umbi walakolwa kwa byaka 38.
Now, there was one there, who had been diseased thirty-eight years.
6 Yesu mpwalamubona nkali wona, waleshiba kwambeti walakolwa kwa cindi citali. Lino walamwipusheti, “Sena ulayandanga kushilikwa?”
Jesus, who saw him lying, and knew that he had been long ill, said to him, Do you desire to be healed?
7 Mulwashi uyo walambeti, “Nkambo ndiyawa muntu welakuntwala mumenshi na alafundaulwa, ndambeti njingile nkutekucana naumbi lampitili kendi.”
The diseased man answered, Sir, I have no person to put me into the bath, when the water is agitated; but while I am going, another gets down before me.
8 Yesu walamwambileti, “Punduka, manta mpasa yakobe, yamba kwenda.”
Jesus said to him, Arise, take up your couch and walk.
9 Popelapo muntu uyo walashilikwa, walamanta mpasa yakendi nekuyamba kwenda. Busuba ubo bwalikuba bwa Sabata.
Instantly the man was healed, and took up his couch and walked.
10 Lino Bayuda balambila uyu walashilikwa, “Lelo nipa Sabata, milawo yetu nkayasuminisha kunyamuna mpasa yakobe.”
Now, that day was the Sabbath. The Jews, therefore, said to him that was cured, This is the Sabbath. It is now lawful for you to carry the couch.
11 Nomba neye walambeti, “Lanshiliki elangambilyeti, ‘Nyamuna mpasa yakobe nekwenda.’”
He answered, He who healed me, said to me, Take up your couch and walk.
12 Nabo balamwipusheti, “Niyani uyo lakwambily eti nyamuna mpasa yakobe wende?”
They asked him then, Who is the man that said to you, Take up your couch and walk?
13 Nomba uyu muntu walashilikwa nkalamwinshiba walamushilikwa, pakwinga Yesu walikuba lengili mukati mwa bantu bangi abo balikuba popelapo.
But he that had been healed, knew who it was; for Jesus had slipped away, there being a crowd in the place.
14 Panyuma pakendi Yesu walamucana mu Nga'nda ya Lesa, usa ngwalashilika, walamwambileti, “Bona, lino ulashilikwa, kotakensa kayi byaipa, kwambeti nkotakakolwa kayi bulwashi nabumbi bwaipa.”
Jesus, afterward, finding him in the temple, said to him, Behold, you are cured; sin no more, lest something worse befall you.
15 Muntu usa walaya kwambila Bayuda kwambeti Yesu elamushiliki.
The man went, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had cured him.
16 Lino batangunishi ba Bayuda balatatika kumushupa Yesu pacebo cakushilika muntu pa Sabata.
Therefore, the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he had done this on the Sabbath.
17 Nsombi Yesu walabambileti, “Bata balasebensenga cindi conse mpaka lelo lino, nenjame ndelela kusebensa.”
But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now; I also work.
18 Makani aya alapesheti bayuda bapitilishe kupingila kushina Yesu. Balikwambeti Yesu lapwayanga mulawo wa Sabata, kayi pakwambeti ni mwana wa Lesa, walyelanishinga ne Lesa.
For this reason the Jews were the more intent to kill him; because he had not only broken the Sabbath, but, by calling God his real Father, had equaled himself to God.
19 Lino Yesu walambeti, “Ndamwambilinga cancine ncine kwambeti paliya ncela kwinsa Mwana palwakendi mwine. Nsombi ukute kwinsa ncalabononga baishi nkabensa. Bilenshinga baishi neye Mwana mbyakute kwinsa.
Then Jesus addressed them, saying, Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but as he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, such does the Son, likewise.
20 Pakwinga baishi basuni Mwana, neco bakute kumulesha byonse nabo mbyobalenshinga. Baishi nibamuleshe mulimo wapita ibi kwambeti mubinshibe.
For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all that he himself does: nay, and will show him greater works than these, which will astonish you.
21 Mbuli Bata ncobakute kupundusha bafwa, nekubapa buyumi, copeleco Mwana lapanga buyumi kuli abo mbasuni.
For as the Father raises and quickens the dead, the Son also quickens whom he will:
22 Baishi nkabakute kombolosha muntu sobwe. Nsombi balapa ngofu Mwana kwambeti abe weshikombolosha byonse.
for the Father judges no person, having committed the power of judging entirely to the Son,
23 Bata bakute kuyandeti bantu bonse balemekenga Mwana, mbuli ncobakute kulemeka Baishi. Muntu labulunga kulemeka Mwana, nkakute kulemeka Baishi balamutuma.
that all might honor the Son; as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son, honors not the Father, who sent him.
24 “Ndamwambilishingeti muntu uliyense lanyumfu maswi akame nekushoma walantuma, nakabe ne buyumi butapu. Uyo nendi nteshi akomboloshewe, nsombi lapulu kendi mu lufu, nekuya mubuyumi butapu. (aiōnios g166)
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears my doctrine, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; and shall not suffer condemnation, having passed from death to life. (aiōnios g166)
25 Kayi ndamwambilingeti cindi nicikashike, kayi cilashiki kendi, apo bantu bafwa mposhi bakanyumfwe maswi a Mwana wa Lesa, kayi abo beshibakanyumfwe ne bakashome nibakabe ne buyumi.
Most assuredly, I say to you, the time comes; or, rather, is come, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and hearing, they shall live.
26 Mbuli baishi ncebalicitente ca buyumi nendi Mwana walaba citente cabuyumi.
For, as the Father has life in himself, so has he given to the Son, to have life in himself;
27 Neco walamupa mwana ngofu shakombolosha bantu, pakwinga ni Mwana Muntu.
and has given him even the judicial authority, because he is a Son of Man.
28 Mutakankamana, pakwinga cindi nicikashike bantu bonse bali mumanda nibakanyumfwe maswi akendi nekupunduka.
Wonder not at this: for the time comes when all that are in their graves shall hear his voice,
29 Bantu balensa byaina nibakapunduke kwambeti babe ne buyumi, nsombi balensa byaipa, nibakapunduke kwambeti bomboloshewe.”
and shall come forth. They who have done good, shall arise to enjoy life; they who have done evil, shall arise to suffer punishment.
30 “Ame nkandela kwinsa kantu pandenka. Nkute kombolosha mbuli ncobakute kung'ambila Bata. Kayi nkute kombolosha mubululami, pakwinga nkankute kwinsa mbyonsuni, nsombi mbyobasuni Bata balantuma.
I can do nothing of myself; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not to please myself, but to please him who sent me.
31 “Na ndalinshili bukamboni, bukamboni bwakame nkabwakwana.
If I alone testify concerning myself, my testimony is not to be regarded:
32 Nsombi kuli naumbi ukute kunjinshila bukamboni, kayi bukamboni mbwakute kunjinshila nibwancine ncine.
there is another who testifies concerning me; and I know that his testimony of me ought to be regarded.
33 Amwe mwalatuma ntumi kuli Yohane mubatishi, nendi walensa bukamboni bwakubinga.
You, yourselves, sent to John, and he bore testimony of the truth.
34 Nteko kwambeti ame nsuni bukamboni bwa muntu, nsombi ndambanga ibi kwambeti amwe mupuluke.
As for me, I need no human testimony; I can only urge this for your salvation.
35 Yohane mubatishi walikubeti lampi yalikumunika, amwe mwalakondwa ne mumuni kwakacindi kang'ana.
He was the blazing and shining lamp; and for awhile, you were glad to enjoy his light.
36 Nsombi ame nkute bukamboni bwapita bwa Yohane. Bata balampa incito njondelela kwinsa, kayi incito njondenshinga iyi ilaleshengeti Bata ebalantuma.
But I have greater testimony than John's: for the works which the Father has empowered me to perform, the works themselves, which I do, testify for me, that the Father has sent me.
37 Kayi Bata abo balantuma, balanjinshila bukamboni. Nomba amwe muliya kunyumfwa maswi abo, nambi kubona cinso cabo.
Nay, the Father, who sent me, has himself attested me. Did you never hear his voice, or see his form?
38 Maswi abo nkakute kwikala muli njamwe, pakwinga nkamukute kumushoma Bata ngobalatuma.
Or, have you forgotten his declaration, that you believe not him whom he has sent forth?
39 Mukute kubelenga Mabala a Lesa, pakwinga mukute kuyeyeti nimucanemo buyumi butapu. Nomba kayi Mabala opelayo akute kunjinshila bukamboni. (aiōnios g166)
You search the scriptures because you think to obtain by them eternal life. Now these, also, are witnesses for me; (aiōnios g166)
40 Nomba amwe mulakananga kwisa kuli njame kwambeti mube ne buyumi.
yet you will not come to me, that you may obtain life.
41 “Nkandalangaulunga kupewa bulemu kubantu sobwe.
I desire not honor from men;
42 Nsombi ndimwinshi kwambeti amwe nkamusuni Lesa mumyoyo yenu.
but I know you, that you are strangers to the love of God.
43 Ame ndalesa mulina lya Bata, nomba amwe muliya kuntambula. Nsombi umbi esa mulina lyakendi ne kulyamba mwine uyo engomukute kutambula.
I am come in my Father's name, and you did not receive me; if another come, in his own name, you will receive him.
44 Lino nomba nga mushomaconi na musuni owa kulumbaishiwa ne banenu, Nsombi nkamusuni kutambula bulemu mbwela kumupa Lesa?
How can you believe, while you court honor one from another, regardless of the honor which comes from God alone?
45 Nomba mutayeyeti njame ndeshi nkamwambilenga byaipa kuli Bata. Weshi akamwambilenga nkwali, Mose ngomwalikuba mwashoma.
Do not think that I am he who will accuse you to the Father. Your accuser is Moses, in whom you confide.
46 Ne mwalashoma Mose cancine ncine ne mwalanshoma ne njame, pakwinga neye walalemba makani alikwamba njame.
For if you believed Moses, you would believe me: for he wrote concerning me.
47 Nomba na nkamulashomonga mbyalalemba, nomba ngamushoma aconi maswi akame?”
But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my words?
