< Yohane 2 >
1 Mpopalapita masuba abili, kwalaba bwinga ku Kana munshi walikuba mucimpansha ca Galileya. Nabo banyina Yesu balayako.
And on the third day, a wedding was held in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Yesu neye pamo ne beshikwiya bakendi balakwiwako kubwinga ubu.
Now Jesus was also invited to the wedding, with his disciples.
3 Mpowalapwa waini ngobalikunwa bantu, banyina Yesu balamwambileti, “Ulabapwili waini.”
And when the wine was failing, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”
4 Yesu walakumbuleti, “Ma kamutang'ambila ncendela kwinsa, Cindi cakame nkacitana cishika.”
And Jesus said to her: “What is that to me and to you, woman? My hour has not yet arrived.”
5 Necikabeco banyina balambila basebenshi bapabwingeti, “Mwinse ciliconse nceti amwambile.”
His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
6 Lino popelapo palikuba nongo sha mabwe shisanu ne imo, balashibikapo pacebo ca mwambo wa Bayuda wakuliswepesha. Munongo iliyonse mwalikwingila menshi akwana mingomo isanu nambi kupitililapo.
Now in that place, there were six stone water jars, for the purification ritual of the Jews, containing two or three measures each.
7 Lino Yesu walambila basa basebenshi, “Kamushani menshi munongo shonse shisule.” Naboyo balesusha mpaka pamilomo.
Jesus said to them, “Fill the water jars with water.” And they filled them to the very top.
8 Panyuma pakendi walabambileti, “Lino tekulani, mutwalile mukulene lendeleshenga bwinga.” Naboyo balamutwalila.
And Jesus said to them, “Now draw from it, and carry it to the chief steward of the feast.” And they took it to him.
9 Mukulene wa bwinga mpwalatelela menshi asa Yesu ngalasandula kuba waini, liya kwinshiba kwalafuma waini uyo. Nomba basebenshi basa balateka menshi balikwinshiba. Lino mukulene walikwendelesha bwinga walakuwa shibwinga,
Then, when the chief steward had tasted the water made into wine, since he did not know where it was from, for only the servants who had drawn the water knew, the chief steward called the groom,
10 ne kumwambileti, “Bantu bakute kutanguna kuyaba waini waina, nomba bantu bekuta, ukute kubapa waini waina pang'ana. Nomba amwe mwanga mwabika waina kushika cino cindi!”
and he said to him: “Every man offers the good wine first, and then, when they have become inebriated, he offers what is worse. But you have kept the good wine until now.”
11 Ici calikuba cishikunkamanisha cakutanguna Yesu ncalensa mumunshi wa Kana mucimpansha ca Galileya nkwalalesha bulemu bwakendi, neco beshikwiya bakendi balamushoma.
This was the beginning of the signs that Jesus accomplished in Cana of Galilee, and it manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him.
12 Panyuma pakendi Yesu walaya ku Kapenao, pamo ne banyina ne bakwabo ne beshikwiya bakendi, nkobalakekala kwamasuba ang'ana.
After this, he descended to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, but they did not remain there for many days.
13 Cindi ca kusekelela Pasika wa Bayuda calaba pepi, Yesu walanyamuka kuya kuYelusalemu.
And the Passover of the Jews was near, and so Jesus ascended to Jerusalem.
14 Kopeloko walengila mulubuwa lwa Ng'anda ya Lesa walakacana bantu balolishinga ng'ombe, mbelele ne nkulimba. Kayi nabambi kabali bekala pa bipuna kabashintana mali.
And he found, sitting in the temple, sellers of oxen and sheep and doves, and the moneychangers.
15 Popelapo walapanga ciswepu ca loshi ne kutatika kubatandanyina pansa bonse, pamo ne ngombe, ne mbelele shabo shonse. walawisha matebulu a bantu balikushintana mali ne mali alamwaikila panshi mbwee.
And when he had made something like a whip out of little cords, he drove them all out of the temple, including the sheep and the oxen. And he poured out the brass coins of the moneychangers, and he overturned their tables.
16 Kayi walambila balikulisha nkulimba eti, “Bipulisheni pansa, mutaisandula Ng'anda ya Bata kuba ya kwinshilamo makwebo.”
And to those who were selling doves, he said: “Take these things out of here, and do not make my Father’s house into a house of commerce.”
17 Beshikwiya balanuka Mabala alambangeti, “Kulibenga kwakame mung'anda yenu kulyeti mulilo ulabangilinga mukati mwakame.”
And truly, his disciples were reminded that it is written: “Zeal for your house consumes me.”
18 Popelapo bamakulene ba Bayuda balamwipusheti, “Nicikankamiko cini ncoshi winse kwambeti utuleshe naukute ngofu shakwinsa bintu ibi?”
Then the Jews responded and said to him, “What sign can you show to us, that you may do these things?”
19 Yesu walabakumbuleti, “Na mwipwaye Nga'nda ya Lesa ino, nenjame nindiyibake mumasuba atatu.”
Jesus responded and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 Lino nabo balambeti, “Nga'nda ya Lesa iyi yalamanta byaka makumi ana ne byaka bisanu ne cimo pakuibaka, lino amwe ngamuibaka mumasubowa atatu?”
Then the Jews said, “This temple has been built up over forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?”
21 Nomba Ng'anda ya Lesa njalikwamba Yesu walikuba mubili wakendi.
Yet he was speaking about the Temple of his body.
22 Mpwalapunduka kubafu, beshikwiya bakendi balanuka kwambeti walabambilapo makani awa, neco balashoma Mabala ne maswi ngalamba.
Therefore, when he had resurrected from the dead, his disciples were reminded that he had said this, and they believed in the Scriptures and in the word that Jesus had spoken.
23 Yesu mpwalikuba mu Yelusalemu pakusekelela kwa Pasika, bantu bangi balamushoma pakubona bikankamisho mbyalensa.
Now while he was at Jerusalem during the Passover, on the day of the feast, many trusted in his name, seeing his signs that he was accomplishing.
24 Nomba Yesu liya kubashoma, pakwinga walikubenshiba ncebabele bonse.
But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he himself had knowledge of all persons,
25 Nkalapembela kwambeti muntu umbi amwambile ncebabele bantu, pakwinga mwine walikwinshiba bili mumyoyo ya bantu.
and because he had no need of anyone to offer testimony about a man. For he knew what was within a man.
