< Jemusi 3 >
1 Mobanse bame, kamutafula mobeshikwiyisha, pakwinga tobeshikwiyisha nitukomboloshewe mwakutuyumina moyo kupita bantu nabambi.
Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgement.
2 Twense tukute kwipisha mubintu bingi. Na mpwali utalisuntulu pakwamba, okwambeti uyo walulama, pakwinga wela kukonsha kwendelesha cena mubili wakendi wonse.
For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
3 Tukute kubika kela kang'anowa mukanwa mwa Lihaki kwambeti litunyumfwilenga kayi nekukonsha kututwala kulikonse nkotulayandanga kuya.
Indeed, we put bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, and we guide their whole body.
4 Kayi kamubonani bwato, nambi nibunene kayi bukute kunyakwa ne mpepo, nsombi bukute kunyonwa nekatondo kakukwashusha, kwambeti bwenga kulikonse nkwalayandanga labwendeleshenga.
Behold, the ships also, though they are so big and are driven by fierce winds, are yet guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires.
5 Neco nicimocimo ne lulemi. Nikabela kang'ana, nsombi kakute kulitunta ne kwinsa bintu binene. Kayi kamubonani kukonempa kwa cisuwa, nsombi cikute kupya ne kamumuni kang'ana ka mulilo.
So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!
6 Neco nalo lulemi lulyeti mulilo. Pakwinga luli mukati mumubili wetu, lukute kumwaya bintu byaipa mumubili wonse. Lukute kwipisha bwikalo bwa muntu. Lukute kutenta buyumi bwetu bonse kufuma mpotwalasemwa mpaka pakufwa, mulilowo ukute kufumina ku Gehena. (Geenna )
And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity amongst our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. (Geenna )
7 Muntu ngaucikonsha kusuwa banyama bamushobo uliwonse, nambi mushobo wabikeni, nambi mushobo wabishi kukalaba, nambi mushobo wa bintu byamumenshi pakwinga walabisuwapo.
For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and sea creature is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind;
8 Nsombi paliya muntu wela kukonsha kuwendelesha lulemi. Lulemi lwaipa, nkalusungwa, lwesula nebusungu.
but nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Ne lulemi tukute kulumba Lesa Bameshetu, nomba kayi ne lulemi lopelolo tukute kushingana banetu mbwalabumba Lesa, abo bakoshana nendi.
With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in the image of God.
10 Pamulomo umoumo pakute kufuma kulumba, nekushingana. Mobanse bame, ibi kabitenshikanga.
Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
11 Sena pamukalo umoumo ngapafuma menshi aina, kayi ne alula?
Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?
12 Mobanse bame sena citondo ca mukuyu ingacisema bisepo bya mbula, nambi citondo camutumbi ngacikata nkuyu? Cimocimo mukalo wa menshi amucele nkela kupulisha menshi aina.
Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
13 Niyani ukute mano kayi ukute kunyumfwisha bintu? Aboneshe mikalilo yakendi yaina, nekwinsa bintu mwakulicepesha.
Who is wise and understanding amongst you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
14 Nomba mwakutenga moyo wamunyono ne wakulibona buntu, kamutalitunta pakutotekeshana necancine ncine pakwamba bwepeshi.
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth.
15 Mano alico ntewo akute kufuma kwilu sobwe, akute kufuma kubantu nekumishimu yaipa yapano pacishi capanshi.
This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
16 Pakwinga pali munyono, nekulibona buntu, pali minyungwe nencito yaipa yamushobo uliwonse.
For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
17 Nomba mano alafumunga kwilu, cakutanguna akute kuba alulama, alumuno, kayi akulicepesha, kayi eshikunyumfwa. Mano ankumbo, akute kusema bisepo byaina. Mano alico nkasalululu, nambi kulibonesha.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 Neco mbuto shikute kubyalwa ne bantu mulumuno shikute kuleta bululami.
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
