1 Milawo yalapewa ku Bayuda nkayalikuba yakwana kuba citondesho cakwana ca lushomo lwa bintu binebine, ni mufunshowa wabintu byaina byalikwisa kuntangu. Milumbo imoimo yalikubengwa lyonse caka ne caka. Inga milumbo ilicisa yalabikwa ne Milawo inga ibalulamikeconi cakupwililila bantu balesanga kuli Lesa?

NOW the law, having a shadow of the good things which were to come, not the very substance of the things, cannot possibly, by the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually, make those perfect who approach God;

2 Na, cancine ncine bantu balakambililinga Lesa baswepa cakupwililila nshinga nebatalibono bwipishi, kayi nibalaleka kubenga milumbo.

else they would have discontinued to make the offering, because they who performed the service being once made clean, would have had no more sense of sins on their conscience.

3 Ca ncinencine ni cakwambeti, milumbo njobali kubenga lyonse caka ne caka yali kubanushowa bwipishi bwabo.

But in these sacrifices there is a commemoration of sins every year.

4 Pakwinga milopa ya ng'ombe, kayi ne ya mpongo nkayela kufunya bwipishi.

For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sin.

5 Ecebo cakendi mpwalesa Klistu pa cishi capanshi walambeti, “Amwe Lesa nkamwalayanda milumbo ne bipo, nsombi mwalamambila mubili.

Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith, “Sacrifice and oblation thou hast not chosen, but thou hast exactly fashioned a body for me:

6 Nkamwalayandeti banyama babatentenga pa nteme, nambi milumbo yeshi kufunya bwipishi.”

thou hast had no delight in whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin:

7 Neco ndalambeti, “Amwe Lesa, njame pano ndesakwinsa lusuno lwenu, mbuli ncecalalembwa palinjame mu Milawo ya Mose.”

then I said, Here am I; (in the volume of the book it is written of me) I come to do thy will, O God.”

8 Citanshi walambeti, “Nkamwalayanda, nambi kukondwa ne milumbo ne bipo nambi kutentwa kwa banyama pa nteme kwambeti bafunye bwipishi.” Klistu walambeci nikukabeti milumbo yonseyi yali kubengwa kukonkela Milawo.

Having said before that sacrifice, and oblation, and whole burnt-offerings and sin-offerings thou hast not chosen, nor takest pleasure in, (which are offered according to the law, )

9 Kayi walambeti, “Njame pano kwambeti njinse luyando lwenu amwe Lesa.” Neco Lesa walaifunyapo milumbo yakaindi, walabika Klistu kuba mulumbo mu musena wa milumbo yakaindi milumbo yakaindi.

he then added, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He abolishes the first that he may establish the second.

10 Pakwinga Yesu Klistu walensa ncalikuyanda Lesa, anu twense tulaswepe ku bwipishi kupitila mu mubili wakendi ngwalabenga mulumbo kenshi kamowa kwa muyayaya.

By the which will we are sanctified through the oblation of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.

11 Shimilumbo uliyense Muyuda walikusebensa ncito yakendi busuba ne busuba, nsombi nakenshico mankanda mangi, milumbo iyi nkayali kufunya bwipishi.

And every priest standeth indeed daily performing the divine service, and frequently offering the same sacrifices, which cannot possibly take away sins:

12 Nomba Yesu walabenga mulumbo umowa wakufunya bwipishi kwa muyayaya, ne kuya kwikala ku cikasa cakululyo ca Lesa.

but this person, having offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever hath seated himself at the right hand of God;

13 Uko nkwalapembelelenga kushika cindi Lesa nceshakabike balwani bakendi kuba ca kulyatapo myendo yakendi.

henceforth waiting till his enemies be put as a footstool for his feet.

14 Ne mulumbo umowa lalete bululami bwa muyayaya kubantu mbwalaswepeshe bwipishi.

For by one oblation he hath made those perfect for ever who are sanctified.

15 Nawo Mushimu Uswepa ulatupanga bukamboni bwakendi. Citanshi Lesa lambangeti,

Now the Holy Ghost also beareth this testimony to us: for after declaring before,

16 “Ici ecipangano nceshi nkasuminishane nabo mu masuba alesanga, Ninkabike milawo yakame mumu miyeyo yabo myoyo yabo ne kwilemba.”

“This is the testament which I will appoint to them after those days, saith the Lord; giving my laws to their hearts, even on their minds will I inscribe them;”

17 Kayi lambangeti, “Nteti nkanukepo bwipishi bwabo nambi ncito shabo shaipa sobwe.”

he adds, “and their sins and their iniquities I will in no wise remember any more.”

18 Neco, Lesa pakulekelela kulico, mulumbo weshikufunya bwipishi nkaulayandikinga sobwe.

Now where there is remission of these, no more offering for sin is needed.

19 Mobanse bame, twasunguluka kuya kwingila mu Musena Waswepeshesha cebo ca lufu lwa Yesu.

Having therefore, brethren, entire liberty of entrance into the holies by the blood of Jesus―

20 Walatucalwila nshila ya linolino yeshikupa buyumi kupita mu cikwisa calikutushinkilila ku Musena Waswepeshesha, uku ekwambeti kupitila mu mubili wakendi.

a way, which he hath consecrated for us, newly opened, and giving life, through the vail, that is, his flesh;

21 Tukute Shimilumbo Mukulene lendeleshenga ng'anda ya Lesa.

and having a great priest over the house of God,

22 Neco tiyeni tuseng'ene kuli Lesa ne moyo waloma ne lushomo lwa ncinencine. Myoyo yaswepa italitibuku. Ne mibili yasambishiwa ne menshi abula mashilo.

let us come to him with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and the body washed with pure water:

23 Katwikatishani camakasa abili kupembelela nkotulasuminishinga, pakwinga twashometi Lesa wasunga cipangano cakendi.

let us hold fast the profession of hope unwavering, (for he who promises is faithful.)

24 Katubani basakamana umo ne munendi, tunyamfwanenga umo ne munendi ne kulesha lusuno kayi ne kwinsa ncito shaina.

and let us attentively observe one another, to excite an ardour of love and of good works:

25 Katutaleka kubungana pamo, mbuli nabamo ncebakute cinga ca kutabungana pamo. Nsombi katuyuminishananga umo ne munendi cindi conse, bonani busuba bwakwisa Mwami bulaseng'enenga pepi.

not deserting the assembling of ourselves together, as is the custom with some, but exhorting to it; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 Neco kuliya mulumbo naumbi weshukafunye bwipishi na katupitilisha kwinsa bwipishi kakuli tucinshi ca ncinencine.

For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no more sacrifice for sins remaineth;

27 Twensangeco, ninshi cetu nikupembelelowa lombolosho lulesanga ne mulilo uyosha weshukashine bantu balakananga Lesa.

but a certain terrible expectation of judgment, and a burning indignation, ready to devour these enemies.

28 Muntu labulunga kukonkela Milawo ya Mose, wela kufwa kwakubula kumunyumfwila luse na pali bantu babili nambi bangi balamwinshili bukamboni.

Any man who treated the law of Moses with neglect, was put to death, without mercy, on the deposition of two or three witnesses:

29 Inga kulyeconi kuli beshikusampula Mwanendi Lesa? Balabonongeti milopa ya cipangano ca Lesa yalabaswepesha bwipishi ni yabulyo? Inga neye muntu latukananga Mushimu Uswepa wa Lesa uwo ulatuleshenga kwina moyo kwakendi Kamuyeyani kukonempa kwacisubulo nceti cikabe.

by how much, think ye, shall he be counted worthy of more condign punishment who hath trampled on the Son of God, and regarded the blood of his testament, by which he was sanctified, as an unclean thing, and hath treated the gracious Spirit contumeliously?

30 Tumwinshi walambeti, “Ninkabweshele, kayi ninkalipile.” Ne uyo walambeti, “Mwami nakomboloshe bantu bakendi.”

For we know him who declares, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

31 Ni cintu cikute kuyosha kwine na Lesa muyumi ukwikata kwambeti akupe cisubulo.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 Kamwanukani ncecalikuba kuli njamwe mu cindi cakunyuma, mu masuba asa. Lesa kali lamumunikili kendi, mwalapita mumapensho angi, nsombi muliya kukomwa mu kulwisha kwenu.

But remember the past days in which, after ye had been illuminated, ye endured a great conflict of sufferings;

33 Bantu balikumutukana ne kumupensha pantangalala tweshi twingi, nacimo cindi mwalikuyanda kuliwalapo pa bantu balikupenshewa.

partly while publicly exposed to revilings and tribulations, partly as being in communion with those who were treated in this manner.

34 Mwalamantako lubasu mu mapensho a bakaili, kayi mpobalamumantila bintu byonse mwalashala kamuli mwakondwa, pakwinga mwalikucinsheti mukute bintu byaina bitapu.

For ye have been fellow-sufferers with my bonds, and received with joy the plundering of your properties, knowing in yourselves that you have in the heavens a better substance, and permanent.

35 Kamutabwela kunyuma, pakwinga kuntangu kuli cilambo cinene.

Recede not therefore from your boldness of profession, which brings a great recompence of reward.

36 Ikalikani nkombe kwambeti mwinse cena luyando lwa Lesa ne kutambula bintu mbyalamulaya.

For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

37 Mbuli ncecalembwa mu Mabala, “Kulashalowa kacindi kang'ana neye lesanga nteti akacelwepo sobwe.

For yet a little, very little while, and he that is coming will come, and will not delay.

38 Lelo bantu bakame balulama nibakashome kayi nibakekale bayumi. Nomba na umo mulyendibo umfutatila, nteti kakondwepo sobwe.”

“The just man then will live by faith;” and if he draw back, my soul shall have no delight in him.

39 Nomba ntafwe bantu beshi kubwela kunyuma ne kutaika sobwe. Tukute lushomo kayi twapuluka.

But we are not of those who turn back unto perdition; but of those who believe to the salvation of the soul.
