Bakolose 3
1 “Lino mwalapundushiwa pamo ne Klistu, kamushani myoyo yenu pa bintu bya kwilu uko Klistu nkwaikala ku cikasa ca lulyo ca Lesa.
If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
2 Kamulangaulanga bintu bya kwilu, kutali bya pacishi capanshi pano.
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
3 Kwamba sha buyumi bwakaindi, mwalafwa buyumi bwenu bwa linolino bwalasolekwa pamo ne Klistu muli Lesa.
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 Lino Klistu ebuyumi bwenu, neco akaboneka, nenjamwe nimukabonekele pamo mu bulemu bwakendi.”
When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.
5 Funyani lunkumbwa lonse luli mu mubili mwenu, lwakuyanda byapanshi pano, mbuli bufule, ne kwinsa bintu byabula kululama ne lunkumbwa lwa mushobo uliwonse waipa ne miyeyo yaipa kayi ne minyono, pakwinga lunkumbwa lwa minyono lwelana ne kukambilila tumbwanga.
Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
6 Cebo ca bintu ibi bukalu bwa Lesa bulesanga.
For these things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
7 Nenjamwe mwalikuba mwatimbakana mu bintu byaipa pa cindi ncemwalikwikala ne bantu balikwikala mu buyumi bulico.
You also once walked in those, when you lived in them,
8 Lino Kamutayani bukalu ne kupya moyo ne lupato ne maswi akusebanya. Pa mulomo penu kapatafumanga maswi amatuka.
but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
9 Kamulekani kubepana pakwinga mwalashiya buyumi bwenu bukulu kulu ne micito yakendi
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,
10 Lino mulafwala buyumi bwalinolino. Ubu buyumi embwalabambanga Lesa wenu busuba ne busuba, kwambeti mukamwishibishishe nekukoshana nendiye.
and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,
11 Neco, lino paliya kupusana kulipo pakati pa Muyuda ne Muswamashi wapalulwa ne wabula kupalulwa, bantu ba mishobo imbi, nambi bantu bapwilila, musha, nambi wabula kuba musha. Nsombi Klistu uli muli njamwe.
where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, or free person; but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Lesa umusuni, ecebo cakendi lamusala kuba bantu bakendi ba palubasu. Neco kamubani bantu bakute nkumbo kayi baina moyo, balicepesha, babomba moyo kayi bekalika nkombe.
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;
13 Kamunyumfwilananga nkumbo ne kulekelelana, na umo lepishili munendi amulekeleleko, mbuli Mwami Lesa ncalamulekelela.
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
14 Kusankanya pa bintu byonse, kamuleshani lusuno kuli umo ne umo, pakwinga elukute kupamankanya bintu byose kwambeti bikatane mwakupwililila.
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 Lumuno ndwakute kupa Klistu lwendeleshe myoyo yenu. Lesa walamukuwa kwambeti mube ne lumuno ulu, pakwinga njamwe bilama bya mubili umo, neco kamulumbanga.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
16 Maswi a Klistu ekalikane mwakupwililila mu myoyo yenu, kayi amupeni mano, pitilishani kwiyishana ne kupana busele. Imbilani nyimbo sha kutembaula Lesa, ne nyimbo nashimbi sha mushimu, pitilishani kumwimbila Lesa ne myoyo ya kulumbaisha.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
17 Ncemulambanga ne ncemulenshinga mubinse mu lina lya Mwami Yesu, kayi kamulumbanga Lesa kupitila muli Klistu.
Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
18 Amwe batukashi nyumfwila balume benu pakwinga encomulayandikinga kwinsa omwashoma Mwami.
Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Nenjamwe balume sunani bakashenu, kamutabalelanga mwalukanda.
Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them.
20 Mobana mucilelwa kamunyumfwilani bamashali benu, pakwinga ecikute kumukondwelesha Lesa.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Mobashali kamutabakalalishanga bana benu pacilubo ciliconse ncebalenshi.
Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they will not be discouraged.
22 Amwe basebenshi nyumfwilani mbomulasebenselenga, kamutasebensanga mwakulangililwa ne mwine ncito kwambeti bamulumbe, sebensani ne moyo wonse mwakutina Lesa.
Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.
23 Ciliconse ncomulenshinga kamubasebenselanga ca ngofu eti mulasebenselenga Lesa.
And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
24 Kamwishibani kwambeti nimukatambule cilambo ncalamulaya Lesa, pakwinga ni Mwami Klistu ngomulasebenselenga.
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
25 Muntu lenshinga byaipa nakapewe cisubulo celana ne mwelo wa byaipa mbyalenshinga, pakwinga Lesa nkalanga pa menso.
But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
