< 2 Timoti 2 >

1 Obe mwaname mulushomo, koyuminina mu nkumbo nshetukute mukwikatana ne Klistu Yesu.
You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Konkela njiyishilo njowalanyumfwa ame kang'amba pa bakamboni bangi, nenjobe wiyisheko bantu beti bakacikonshe kwiyishako nabambi.
The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
3 Mantamo lubasu mu mapensho pakubeti mushilikali washomwa wa Klistu Yesu.
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4 Mushilikali nkakute kusha mano ku ncito shimbi, nsombi ukute kuyanda kukondwelesha mushilikali mukulene lamulangililinga.
No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
5 Nendi weshikufwamba lubilo lwa kufola mali nkabela kumufolesha na walilwa kukonkela milawo ya mfwambilo.
Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
6 kayi mulimi lasebensenga mwangofu ewela nanshi kulya bishango byakutanguna kutebula.
The farmer who labors must be the first to get a share of the crops.
7 Usheko mano ku makani ngondakwambili, Mwami Yesu nakakunyamfwe kwishiba bintu.
Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
8 Kwanukangeti, Yesu Klistu uyo walasemwa mu mukowa wa Dafeti, walapunduka kubafu mbuli ncolambanga Mulumbe Waina ngonkute kukambauka.
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,
9 Ndasungwa ncetani eti kapondo muno mu jele cebo ca kukambauka Mulumbe Waina, nomba necikabeco maswi a Lesa nkasungwa ncetani sobwe.
in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word is not chained.
10 Neco, nteti ntentuke cebo ca bantu mbwalasala Lesa kwambeti naboyo bakatambule lupulusho lwalesa kupitila muli Klistu Yesu kayi ne kutambula bulemu butapu. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones' sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with consummate (aiōnios g166) glory.
11 Makani awa nacancine ncine alambangeti; Na twalafwila pamo nendi nitukekale nebuyumi pamo nendiye.
This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
12 Na tulimbikila nitukendeleshe pamo. Na tukamukane, nendi nakatukane.
If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13 Na nkatwashomeka, nendi nakabenga washomeka, pakwinga nkela kulikana.
If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he cannot deny himself.”
14 Kobanushanga bantu bintu ibi, ne kubacenjesha mwangofu pamenso a Lesa kwambeti kabatatotekeshananga pa maswi, nkacikute kunyamfwa sobwe. pakwinga cikute kunyonganya bantu balakutikinga.
Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord that they do not argue about words to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
15 Elekesha mwangofu kuba wasuminishiwa pamenso a Lesa, eti musebenshi wabula nsoni; Ukute kwiyisha cena ancinencine.
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
16 Talamuka ku mibandi yabuluya italete bulemu kuli Lesa, pakwinga ikute kubatalamusha kuli Lesa.
But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,
17 Pakwinga mibandi ilico ilyeti cilonda cinene citashilikiki. Humenayo ne Fileto ebantu basuna mibandi ilico,
and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:
18 balashiyi mukondo wancine ncine, balanyonganyango'wa lushomo lwa bantu, balambangeti bantu bafwa balapunduka kendi, kwamba kulico nteko kwa ncinencine sobwe.
men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
19 Nikukabeco, mpwaibaka Lesa nkapela kutenkanishiwa sobwe, pakwinga palembweti, “Mwami, ubeshi bantu bakendi” Kayi pali maswi akwambeti, “Muntu lakambilinga Mwami aleke kwinsa bintu byabula kululama.”
However, God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
20 Mung'anda inene mukute kuba mbale shapusana pusana, shagolide neshasilifa neshakubesa kayi ne shakubumba. Pa mbale ishi pali shakusebensesha cindi conse, nashimbi nishakubensesha pa cindi celela.
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor and some for dishonor.
21 Na muntu ucileka kwinsa byaipa, uliswepesha, ulyeti mbale shakusebensesha pa cindi celela, pakwinga nakabe waswepa kuli Mwami wakendi, kwambeti amusebenseshe cindi conse muncito yaina.
If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.
22 Talamuka ku lunkumbwa lwa mubili. Obe konkela bululami, nelushomo, nelusuno kayi ne lumuno. Ikatana pamo ne bantu balakambililinga Mwami ne myoyo yaswepa.
Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 Kayi koleka kumantamo lubasu mu kutotekeshanya kwa buluya kwabula mano, ucisheti kukutowa kuleta kukangana.
But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
24 Musebenshi wa Mwami Lesa nkela kuba shikukangano'wa ne bantu, nsombi wela kunyumfwila nkumbo bantu bonse, shikwiyisha wekalikana cena moyo.
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient,
25 Kolicepeshanga wambanga ne bantu balakutotekenga, mpani Lesa ngobapa cindi ca kusanduka kwambeti beshibe ca ncinencine mwalumbuluka.
in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
26 Mpani mano abo ngabwelelamo kwambeti bafume mu kose ka Satana wabekateti bensenga ncalayandanga.
and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
