< 1 Timoti 5 >

1 Nkabakansa mukulene, nsombi mwambile mwabulemu pakwinga ulyeti baiso. Misepela banobe ubabonengeti bakwenu,
An ancient man rebuke not, but entreat him as a father: young men, as brethren:
2 batukashi bamakulene ubabonengeti banyoko, ne batukashi batwanike ubabonengeti bakwenu kwakubula kubakumbwa.
Old women, as mothers: young women, as sisters, in all chastity.
3 Kopa bulemu bamukalubingi babula pakwikata.
Honour widows, that are widows indeed.
4 Nomba na mukalubingi ukute bana, nambi bashikulu, abo bana ne bashikulu batangune kwinshila mukowa wabo ncalayandanga Lesa. Mukwinseco bakute kubweshela bashali ne bamankambushabo ncebalikubenshila, ico cikute kukondwelesha Lesa.
But if any widow have children, or grandchildren, let her learn first to govern her own house, and to make a return of duty to her parents: for this is acceptable before God.
5 Mukalubingi wabula weshikumunyamfwa nambi kumulama, kupembelela kwakendi wakusha muli Lesa kayi ukute kupitilisha kupaila ne kusenga lunyamfwo kuli Lesa, munshi ne mashiku.
But she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, let her trust in God, and continue in supplications and prayers night and day.
6 Nomba mukalubingi washa mano mubintu byabula ncito, wafwa kendi nambi ucili muyumi.
For she that liveth in pleasures, is dead while she is living.
7 Naboyo ubape malailile awa kwambeti babule kampenda.
And this give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8 Nomba na muntu katanyamfwa banse bendi makamaka bamung'anda yakendi, lakana lushomo kayi waipa kupita muntu wabula lushomo.
But if any man have not care of his own, and especially of those of his house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 Kotalemba lina lya mukalubingi pa maina abamukalubingi na nkanashika pabyaka makumi asanu ne limo, kayi abe mukashi walebwapo kumulume umo,
Let a widow be chosen of no less than threescore years of age, who hath been the wife of one husband.
10 ukute mpuwo yancito shaina. Abe mutukashi walakulisha cena banabendi, kayi walikupa cakulya bantu beshi kupita, kayi walikutambula cena bensu mung'anda yakendi kayi walikunyamfwa bantu mumapensho abo, kayi walikulibenga kwinsa byaina.
Having testimony for her good works, if she have brought up children, if she have received to harbour, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have ministered to them that suffer tribulation, if she have diligently followed every good work.
11 Bamukalubingi batana bashika byaka makumi asanu ne limo kotabalemba maina. Pakwinga baba ne nyotwa yakuyanda kwebwa, bakute kushiya Klistu,
But the younger widows avoid. For when they have grown wanton in Christ, they will marry:
12 kayi ingababa ne mulandu wa kupwaya cipangano cabo cakutanguna.
Having damnation, because they have made void their first faith.
13 Pambali palico, ngababa batolo, bakute cinga cakuya kulibandikisha ku manda abanabo, kufwiya nekwingila mumakani abanabo, ne kwamba makani abula kwelela kwamba.
And withal being idle they learn to go about from house to house: and are not only idle, but tattlers also, and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 Caina kwambeti bamukalubingi bacili batwanike bebwe, baseme bana ne kubakulisha cena, kwambeti balwani betu babule cindi ca kutwamba bintu byaipa.
I will therefore that the younger should marry, bear children, be mistresses of families, give no occasion to the adversary to speak evil.
15 Kobona, cilenshiki kuli ba mukalubingi batwanike, balatatiki kukonkela Satana.
For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16 Na pali mutukashi muklistu ukute kulela bamukalubingi apitilishe kubanyamfwa kabataba mutolo ku mubungano, kwambeti mubungano upitilishe kunyamfwa bamukalubingi babula pa kwikata.
If any of the faithful have widows, let him minister to them, and let not the church be charged: that there may be sufficient for them that are widows indeed.
17 Batangunishi ba mubungano balatangunininga cena bapewe bulemu ne malipilo elela ncito ya kukambauka ne kwiyisha.
Let the priests that rule well, be esteemed worthy of double honour: especially they who labour in the word and doctrine:
18 Ici celana ne Mabala a Lesa alambangeti, “Kotasunga ng'ombe matomo kumulomo kwambeti ibule kulya cindi ncolaisebenseshenga mulibala” Kayi “musebenshi wela kutambula malipilo kuli walamwingisha ncito”
For the scripture saith: Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn: and, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
19 Kotautambula mulandu wakumubepesha mutangunishi wa mubungano na uliya bakamboni babili nambi batatu bawishi cena mulandu'wo.
Against a priest receive not an accusation, but under two or three witnesses.
20 Nambi kulico, bakanse abo balapitilishingo'wa kwinsa bintu byaipa, kwambeti nabambi bamantepo ciyo.
Them that sin reprove before all: that the rest also may have fear.
21 Ndakwambilinga mwangofu pamenso pa Lesa ne Klistu Yesu pamo ne bangelo basalwa, kwambeti ukonke malailile awa kwakubula kulanga pa nkumo, kwambeti ubule kusalulula.
I charge thee before God, and Christ Jesus, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by declining to either side.
22 Kotafwambananga kubika makasa pa muntu kumuleta mu ncito ya Mwami ya butangunishi mu mubungano, pakwinga wenseco ngaumantamo lubasu mu bwipishi bwakendi. Obe pitilisha kuba wabula kampenda mu buyumi bwakobe.
Impose not hands lightly upon any man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins. Keep thyself chaste.
23 Kotanwango'wa menshi onka, konwangonga waini kukunyamfwa kusungulula mulibunda, cebo cakwambeti ukute kukolwa kolwa.
Do not still drink water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake, and thy frequent infirmities.
24 Bwipishi bwa bantu nabambi bukute kuboneka patuba, nambi kabatana bomboloshewa. Nomba bwipishi bwa bantu nabambi bukute kumanta cindi citali kwambeti buboneke.
Some men’s sins are manifest, going before to judgment: and some men they follow after.
25 Ni cimo cimo micito yaina ikute kuboneka patuba, nayo itabonekele patuba nkayela kusolekwa sobwe.
In like manner also good deeds are manifest: and they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.
