< 1 Timoti 2 >
1 Lino cakutanguna ndasengengeti mupaililengonga bantu bonse. Kupaila kwenu kube kwa kusenga, mipailo yakukombelela nabambi, kayi ne yakulumba Lesa.
I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men—
2 Mupaililengonga bami, ne bonse bali mubwendeleshi bwacishi kwambeti twikale mulumuno ne buyumi bwaina palumbanga Lesa.
for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all piety and gravity,
3 Ici caina kayi cikute kukondwelesha Lesa Mupulushi wetu.
for this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior,
4 Nendi layandangeti bantu bonse bakeshiba cancine ncine bakapulushiwe.
who wills all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;
5 Cancine ncine nicakwambeti, kuli Lesa umowa, kayi kuli muntu umowa wemanina bantu kuli Lesa, uyu ni Klistu Yesu.
for [there is] one God, also one mediator of God and of men—the man Christ Jesus,
6 Uyo walalibenga kula nekulubula bantu bonse. Ico calaba citondesho ca pacindi celela, kulesheti Lesa usuni kupulusha bantu bonse.
who gave Himself [as] a ransom for all—the testimony in its own times—
7 Ici ecebo ncalansalila Lesa kwambeti mbe mutumwa shikukambauka Mulumbe Waina kubantu batamwishi Lesa, nkandabepenga sobwe ndambanga cancine ncine. Ndalasalwa kwambeti njiyishe bantu makani a lushomo ne cancine ncine.
in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle—truth I say in Christ, I do not lie—a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.
8 Neco, ndayandangeti mpomwabungana, batuloba bapitilishe kupaila kabali bemanika makasa abo kwilu kumupa bulemu Lesa, kwakubula kukalalishanya nambi kupikishana.
I intend, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and deliberation;
9 Kayi ndayandangeti batukashi balyapishenga ne byakufwala byelela pakufwala mwabulemu kayi mwa mano, kakutaba kulyapisha kwa kuposa mishishi munshila yanyanyisha, kufwala byabeka beka bya golide, kulikobaika malungu munshingo, nambi byakufwala bya mulo wadula.
also the women in like manner, in orderly apparel, to adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or clothing of great price,
10 Nomba kwapa kwabo kube kwa micito yabo yaina kubantu, yelela batukashi balakambilinga Lesa.
but—which becomes women professing godly piety—through good works.
11 Pacindi ncobaleyinga, batukashi babenga bamwena mwakulicepesha.
Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection,
12 Batukashi nkabasuminishiwa kusongomana kwiyisha batuloba nambi kubambila ncobela kwinsa sobwe, nsombi bayiyenga mubumweneneshi.
and I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness,
13 Pakwinga Lesa walayambilila kubumba Adamu, katanabumba Eva,
for Adam was formed first, then Eve,
14 kayi Adamu nteyo walabepwa nsombi Eva ewalabepwa ne kutaluka Mulawo wa Lesa.
and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, came into transgression,
15 Nomba batukashi nibakapulushiwe cebo ca kusema bana, na bapitilisha kuba ne lushomo nelusuno ne kuba baswepa myoyo, kayi balicepesha.
and she will be saved through the childbearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
