1 Njame, Paulo walakwiwa kuba mutumwa wa Klistu Yesu mukupewa mulawo ne Lesa Mupulushi wetu, ne Klistu Yesu uyo ngotwacinkamo manungo,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Savior, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
2 ndalembelenga obe Timoti mwaname mwine mwine mulushomo. Ndambangeti kwina moyo inkumbo ne lumuno lwa Lesa ne Klistu Yesu Mwami wetu bibe nenjobe.
to Timotheus—genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!
3 Mpondalikuya ku Makedoniya, ndalakupa malailile akwambeti wikale ku Efenso kwambeti ukanishenga bantu nabambi baleyishinga ciyisho cabwepeshi.
According as I exhorted you to remain in Ephesus—I going on to Macedonia—that you might charge certain [ones] not to teach any other thing,
4 Kayi ubambileti kabatatayanga cindi cabo ku tulabi twabakulukulu tulambanga sha masemano. Ibi biliya ncito bikute kuletowa kutotekeshana, nkabikute kwiyishapo sobwe, bilayandanga Lesa bikute kwishibikwa mulushomo.
nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than [the] stewardship of God which [is] in faith.
5 Ncondakupelenga malailile awa ni kwambeti ubayishe lusuno lwa ncinencine lulafumunga mu moyo waswepa, kayi kuba ne muntu wamukati waina ne lushomo lwa ncinencine.
And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of unhypocritical faith,

from which certain [men], having swerved, turned aside to vain discourse,

willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they confidently assert,

and we have known that the Law [is] good, if anyone may use it lawfully;

having known this, that law is not set for a righteous man, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers,

according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
12 Ndalumbunga Klistu Yesu Mwami wetu walampa ngofu ne kunsala kwambeti ndimusebensele, cebo ca kuba washomekwa.
And I give thanks to Him who enabled me—Christ Jesus our Lord—that He reckoned me steadfast, having put [me] to the ministry,
13 Nikukabeti ndalikusampula Lesa nekupensha bantu ba Lesa, nsombi Lesa walanyumfwila nkumbo pakwinga paliya ncendalikwishiba nkandalikukute lushomo sobwe.
who before was speaking slander, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did [it] in unbelief,
14 Nomba Mwami wetu walanyumfwila nkumbo shinene, ndalatambula lushomo ne lusuno kupitila mukwikatana ne Klistu Yesu.
and the grace of our Lord exceedingly abounded, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus.
15 Maswi akwambeti Klistu Yesu walesa pa cishi capanshi kwisa kupulusha bantu babwipishi nakubinga kayi elela kutambulwa ca makasa abili, pa bantu bonse baipa ame ndaipa kupita bonse.
The word [is] steadfast, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am first;
16 Nikukabeco Lesa walanyumfwila nkumbo kwambeti kupitila muli njame ondaipa kupita bonse, Klistu Yesu aleshe kwikalika nkombe kwakendi, kwambeti mbe citondesho kulyabo beti bakamushome kwambeti bakatambule buyumi butapu. (aiōnios g166)
but because of this I found kindness, that Jesus Christ might first show forth all long-suffering in me, for a pattern of those about to believe on Him to continuous life. (aiōnios g166)

And to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honor and glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 Timoti mwaname, ndakupa malailile awa kwelana ne maswi abashinshimi alambwa pali njobe, wasebensesheti byensho, kwambeti ukacikonshe kulwana nkondo yaina.
I commit to you this charge, child Timotheus, according to the prophecies that went before on you, that you may war in them the good warfare,
19 Kayi pitilisha kuba ne lushomo kayi miyeyo yalulama. iyo nabambi njobalanyakili pambali ibyo bilapasulu lushomo lwabo.
having faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away, made shipwreck concerning the faith,
20 Pakati pa bantu balico pali Humenayo ne Alekisandulo, bantu aba ndabapa cisubulo ne kubanyakila mu bwendeleshi bwa Satana, kwambeti bakaleke kusampula Lesa.
of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
