1 Petulo 1
1 Njame Petulo, musebenshi wa Yesu Klistu. Ndalembenga iyi kalata kuli njamwe mwasalwa ne Lesa mulekalangeti bensu mubimpansha byaku Ponto, ne ku Galatiya, neku Kapadokiya, neku Asiya kayi neku Bituniya.
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Kwelana ne kuyanda kwa Lesa Bata kwesula kufuminowa kumatatikilo mwalasalwa kayi mwalaswepeshewa ne Mushimu Uswepa kwambeti mube beshikunyumfwila Yesu Klistu, mwalasukwa ne milopa yakendi. Lesa amunyumfwile nkumbo ne kumupa lumuno lwesula.
according to [the] foreknowledge of God the Father, by [the] sanctification of the Spirit, to [the] obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
3 Tulumbe Lesa Baishi Mwami wetu Yesu Klistu. Pakwinga mukufula kwa nkumbo shakendi, walatupa buyumi bwa linolino pakumupundusha Yesu Klistu kubafu. Neco tukute lushomo lwayuma nta,
Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness begot us again to a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ out of the dead,
4 lwakwambeti nitukatambule colwe cabintu byaina Lesa mbyabambila bantu bakendi kwilu, uko nkweshi bikabule kubola, nambi kwipishiwa, nambi kushimangana.
to an incorruptible inheritance, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved for you in the heavens,
5 Ibi bintu nibyenu, kupitila mulushomo, byabambwa cena mungofu sha Lesa kwambeti mukatambule lupulusho ulo lulipepi kuboneka pacindi camapwililisho.
who, in the power of God are being guarded, through faith, to salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,
6 Ibi kabimukondweleshani nambi pacino cindi mucane mapensho ne kwelekeshewa kwapusanapusana.
in which you are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in various trials,
7 Ibi ni bishikubonesheti lushomo lwenu ni lwancinencine. Nambi golide ukute konongeka ukute kwengeka nemulilo, nalo lushomo lwenu ulo lwapita golide, lwela kwelekeshewa kwambeti lucanike kuba lwancinencine. Mwenseco nimukatambule kulumbwa, ne bulemu pabusuba mbweshakayubuluke Yesu Klistu.
so that the proof of your faith—much more precious than gold that is perishing, and being approved through fire—may be found to [result in] praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

whom, having not seen, you love, in whom, now believing [although] not seeing, you are glad with unspeakable joy and have been filled with glory,

receiving the outcome of the faith—salvation of your souls;
10 Bashinshimi balambapo sha cilambo calupulusho ndweshimukatambule, balo balalangaula mwabuya lupulusho ulu, Lesa ndwetamupe.
concerning which salvation [the] prophets sought out and searched out, who prophesied concerning the grace toward you,
11 Mushimu wa Klistu walikuba mulyendibo walikwambila limo sha byeshikubaba Klistu mbyeshakanyumfwe, kayi ne bulemu mbweshakabe nabo panyuma pakendi. Bashinshimi balikuyanda kwishiba cindi kayi ne moti bikenshikilenga.
searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was signifying, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these,
12 Lesa walabayubulwila kwambeti ncito njobalikwinsa nkayalikuba yakuyanda bene, nsombi balikwinshilamwe, mpobalikwamba bintu ibyo mbyemulanyumfunga kuli batumwa bakendi balakambaukunga Mulumbe Waina kupitila mu Mushimu Uswepa walafuma kwilu. Ibi ebintu nabo bangelo mbyebalikuyanda kwishiba.
to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who proclaimed good news to you), by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven, to which things messengers desire to look into intently.
13 Eco cakendi myoyo yenu ibe yalibambila. Kamubani babangamana. Bikani lushomo lwenu lonse pa colwe nceshi mukapewe Yesu Klistu akayubuluka.
For this reason, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly on the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
14 Nyumfwilani Lesa, kamutaleka buyumi bwenu kubumbwa nelunkumbwa ndomwalikukute kamutana mwishiba Klistu.
as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance,
15 Mbuli Lesa ncali waswepa uyo walamukuwa, nenjamwe kamubani baswepa mumikalilo yenu yonse.
but according as He who called you [is] holy, you also, become holy in all behavior,
16 Mabala alambangeti, “Kamubani baswepa myoyo mbuli Ame ncendaswepa moyo.”
because it has been written: “Become holy, because I am holy”;
17 Lesa liya lusalululo. Ukute kombolosha uliyense kwelana ne micito yakendi. Mwambangeti, Ta pakupaila, mupeni bulemu cindi conse ncomulicili panshi pano.
and if you call on the Father, who is judging without favoritism according to the work of each, pass the time of your sojourn in fear,
18 Mucishi cena ncalasebenshesha pakumulubula ku mikalilo yaipa njemwalatambula kufumina ku bamashali benu. Liya kumulubula ne mali asa akute konongeka, silifa nambi golide sobwe.
having known that, not with corruptible things—silver or gold—were you redeemed from your foolish behavior inherited from our forefathers,
19 Walamulubula ne milopa ya Klistu yamulo wadula, uyo walalibengeti M wanambelele wabula cibala nambi bulema.
but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted—Christ’s—
20 Lesa walamusalilalimo cishi capanshi citana cilengwa, nomba lamuyubululu mumasuba ano akupwililisha cebo canjamwe.
foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and revealed in the last times because of you,
21 Kupitila mulyendiye, mulashomonga Lesa walamupundusha kubafu, nekumupa bulemu. Neco lushomo ne kupembelela kwenu bili pali Lesa.
who through Him believe in God who raised [Him] out of the dead, and gave glory to Him, so that your faith and hope may be in God.
22 Mulaswepeshe myoyo yenu pakunyumfwa cancinencine, kwambeti munyumfwanenga ne baklistu banenu. Ecebo cakendi mwela kusunana nemoyo wonse.
Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unhypocritical brotherly love, love one another earnestly out of a pure heart,
23 Pakwinga mulenshi kusemwa tubili, buyumi bwakendi nkabulafumunga mu mbuto ya mushali ukute kufwa sobwe, nsombi mu mbuto itafu, iyo mbuto ni maswi a Lesa, maswi abuyumi eshakabule kupwa. (aiōn g165)
being begotten again, not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through a word of God—living and remaining—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
24 Mbuli Mabala a Lesa, alambangeti, “Bantu bonse balyeti mila, bulemu bwabo bulyeti maluba amucisuwa. Mila ikute kuyuma, nawo maluba akute kunyana.
because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; the grass withered, and the flower of it fell away,
