1 Njame Paulo walakwiwa kuba mutumwa wa Klistu Yesu kwelana ne kuyanda kwa Lesa. Ndili pamo ne mukwetu Sositene.
Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
2 Tulalembelenga njamwe mubungano wa bantu bashoma Lesa bali mu Kolinto, Lesa walamusala kuba bakendi muli Yesu Klistu kayi, ne kuba baswepa pamo ne bantu bonse bali mumisena yonse, abo bonse balakunga pa Lina lya Mwami Yesu Klistu Mwami wabo nenjafwe eMwami wetu.
to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:
3 Kwina moyo ne lumuno lwa Lesa Ishetu ne Mwami Yesu Klistu bibe palinjamwe.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Cindi conse ndalumbunga Lesa wakame cebo canjamwe pa kwina moyo kwakendi nshalamulesha muli Klistu Yesu.
I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,
5 Pacebo cakuba muli Klistu, Lesa lamuleleke mubintu byonse mbuli mung'ambilo ne lwinshibo.
that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—
6 Makani alambanga sha Klistu alabonekele kuba ancine ncine mulinjamwe.
even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you—
7 Pacebo cilico, paliya cipo naba cimo ncemwabula pacino cindi mpomulapembelelenga kwisa kwa Mwami wetu Yesu Klistu.
so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
8 Lesa nakamuyuminishe mpaka kumapwililisho kwambeti pabusuba bwakwisa Mwami wetu Yesu Klistu mukacanike babula kampenda.
who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 Lesa washomeka pakwinga endiye walamukuweti mube pamo mu Mwanendi Yesu Klistu Mwami wetu.
God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Lino ndamusengenga mobanse mu Lina lya Mwami wetu Yesu Klistu kwambeti kamusuminishananga kapatabanga kupansana pakati penu, kamunyumfwananga cakupwililila, muyeyo umo, ne nshila imo yakwinshilamo bintu.
Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 Pakwinga nabambi bansebendi Kuloyi balang'ambileti mulalondolonga.
For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.
12 Ncendambanga nici, uliyense palinjamwe lambanga shakendi, umbi lambangeti, “Ame ndakonkelenga Paulo.” Naumbi lambangeti, “Ame ndakonkelenga Apolo.” Naumbi lambangeti, “Ame ndakonkelenga Petulo.” “Kayi naumbi lambangeti, ame ndakonkelenga Klistu.”
Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”
13 Sena Klistu layabaniki? Sena ni Paulo walapopwa pacebo cenu? Sena mwalabatishiwa mulina lya Paulo?
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?
14 Ndalumbunga Lesa kwambeti paliya naba umo mulinjamwe ngondalabatisha, ame ndalabatishowa Klispo ne Gayo.
I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15 Neco paliya wela kwambeti walabatishiwa mu lina lyakame.
so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.
16 Nabambi mbondanukako mbondalabatisha ni Stefano ne bakashendi ne banabendi, nkandanukunga kwambeti ndalabatishapo nabambi.
(I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I do not know whether I baptized any other.)
17 Pakwinga Klistu uliya kuntumapo kuya kubatisha, nsombi kuya kukambauka Mulumbe Waina. Nteko kukambauka kwakulipa maswi amano sobwe, pakwinga ndenseco, ngofu sha lufu lwa Klistu palusanda ngashiyeyelwa kuba shabulyo.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.
18 Makani alambanga sha lufu lwa Klistu palusanda nabulyo kulyabo balataikinga, nomba kulinjafwe tulimunshila yakupulushiwa ningofu sha Lesa.
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 Pakwinga Lesa mu Mabala akendi lambangeti, “Ninkononge mano abantu balalibonongeti bacenjela kwambeti buchenjeshi bwa bacenjela nkabutenshika.”
For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”
20 Inga lino bantu ba mano balalibikinga papeyo? Inga bantu baiya bintu bingi balibikinga papeyo? Inga bantu balatangalanga cebo cakuba nemano apacishi ca panshi nabo balikupeyo? Pakwinga Lesa latuleshe kwambeti mano abantu nabulyo! (aiōn g165)
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age (aiōn g165)? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 Mu mano a Lesa, bantu bapacishi capanshi calabalila kumwinshiba Lesa kupitila mu mano abo, pakwinga makani ngotulakambaukunga ngobalabononga bantu kuba abulyo, Lesa walakondweti apulushilemo abo bashoma muli endiye.
For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.
22 Bayuda balayandanga kubona bishikukankamanisha, kakuli balo Bagiliki balayandanga kubona bintu byamano.
For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,
23 Nomba afwe tulakambaukunga Klistu walapopwa palusanda, makani awa kuli Bayuda nicisesemyo, kubantu bakunsa balo nabulyo.
but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,
24 Nsombi Bayuda nambi bantu bakunsa abo mbwalakuwa Lesa, bacinshi cena kwambeti Klistu ningofu, kayi emano a Lesa.
but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;
25 Pakwinga ico cilabonekengeti buluya bwa Lesa, capita mano abantu. Kayi ico cilaboneshenga kuba cabula ngofu kuli Lesa, cikute ngofu kupita sha bantu.
because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 Mobanse bame, kamuyeyani ncemwalikuba mpwalamukuwa Lesa, abo balikuboneka bamano kubantu, kayi bangofu nambi abo balasemwa kubantu balemekwa, nibang'ana pakati penu.
For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;
27 Neco Lesa walasala bintu ibyo bantu mbyobakute kuyeyeti nibya buluya, kwambeti bipe nsoni bantu ba mano, ne kusala bintu byabula ngofu kwambeti bikape nsoni abo balabonekengeti bakute ngofu.
but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.
28 Kayi Lesa walasala bintu byabula kulemekwa nambi byabula mpuwo kwambeti abo bakute kuboneka balemekwa babe babulyo pacebo ca bintu byabo bya bula kumutwi.
God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that do not exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,
29 Neco paliya muntu wela kulisumpula pamenso a Lesa.
that no flesh should boast before God.
30 Lesa mwine ewalayanda kwambeti amwe mube pamo muli Klistu nendi abe mumano etu, walatutwala pamenso a Lesa mubululami, walatuswepesha ne kutusungulula.
Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
31 Neco mbuli Mabala a Lesa ncalambangeti, “Uyo layandanga kulisumpula alisumpule kwelana ne ncalensa Mwami.”
that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
