Razodetje 2
1 Angelu občine Efeške piši: To pravi on, ki drži sedmero zvezd v desni svoji, ki hodi sredi sedmerih svečnikov zlatih;
TO the angel of the Ephesian church write; These things saith he who grasps the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh round in the midst of the seven golden lamps;
2 Vem dela tvoja, in trud tvoj, in stanovitnost tvojo, in da ne moreš nositi hudobnih, in si poskušal njé, ki se imenujejo aposteljne, a niso; in našel si jih lažnjive,
I know thy works, and thy travail, and thy patience, and that thou canst not bear the wicked; and hast tried those who give themselves out as apostles, yet are not, and hast found them liars;
3 In nosil si in stanovitnost imaš in za ime moje si se trudil in nisi se utrudil;
and hast borne, and hast exercised patience, and for my name sake hast endured great toil, and hast not fainted.
4 Ali zoper tebe imam, da si opustil prvo svojo ljubezen:
Yet have I a charge against thee, that thou art gone back from thy first love.
5 Spominjaj se torej, odkod si izpadel; in izpokóri se, in delaj prva dela; ako pa ne, pridem ti hitro, in premaknem svečnik tvoj z mesta njegovega, če se ne izpokoriš.
Remember then from whence thou hast fallen, and repent, and practise thy first works; but if not, I am coming to thee quickly, and I will remove thy lamp out of its place, except thou repent.
6 Ali to imaš, da sovražiš dela Nikolajcev, katera tudi jaz sovražim.
But this thou holdest, that thou abhorrest the deeds of the Nicolatans, which I also abhor.
7 Kdor ima uho, naj sliši, kaj Duh govori občinam: Kdor premaga, dal mu bodem jesti z drevesa življenja, katero je v sredi raja Božjega.
He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches, To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8 In angelu občine Smirenske piši: To pravi prvi in zadnji, kateri je bil mrtev in je oživel:
And to the angel of the church of the Smyrnians write, These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and is alive:
9 Vem dela tvoja in stisko in siromaštvo, (bogat pa si), in preklinjanje njih, ki pravijo, da so Judje, in niso, nego zbornica satanova.
I know thy works, and thy tribulation, and thy poverty (though thou art rich), and the calumnies of those who say they are Jews, yet are not, but are Satan’s synagogue.
10 Nič se ne boj, kaj ti bode trpeti. Glej, hudič bode vrgel jih izmed vas v ječo, da bodo izkušeni; in imeli bodete stisko deset dnî. Bodi zvest do smrti, in dal ti bodem venec življenja.
Fear nothing from the things which thou shalt suffer: lo! the devil will cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have a ten day’s tribulation: be thou faithful until death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 Kdor ima uho, naj sliši, kaj Duh govori občinam: Kdor premaga, naj se mu nič hudega ne zgodi od druge smrti.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. He that overcometh shall receive no injury from the second death.
12 In angelu občine v Pergamu piši: To pravi on, ki drži meč, dvorezni, ostri:
And to the angel of the church at Pergamos write, These things saith he who holdeth the sharp two-edged sword;
13 Vem dela tvoja, in kje prebivaš, kjer prestol satanov, in hraniš ime moje, in nisi zatajil vere moje tudi o dnevih, v katerih je Antipa priča moja zvesta, umorjen bil pri vas, kjer satan prebiva.
I know thy works and where thou hast thy abode, even where Satan’s throne is erected: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days when Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was put to death among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 Ali imam zoper tebe nekaj malega, da imaš tam njé, ki se držé uka Balaamovega, kateri je učil Balaka dajati pohujšanje pred sinovi Izraelovimi, jesti malikove žrtve in kurbati se.
Yet I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there some who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to lay a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat of idol sacrifices, and to commit whoredom.
15 Tako imaš tudi ti nje, ki se držé uka Nikolajcev, kar sovražim.
Thou hast also some who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which I abhor.
16 Izpokóri se, ako pa ne, pridem ti hitro, in vojskoval se bodem z njimi z mečem svojih ust.
Repent! but if not, I am coming to thee quickly, and will war against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 Kdor ima uho, naj sliši, kaj Duh govori občinam: Kdor premaga, dal mu bodem jesti mane skrite, in dal mu bodem bel kamen, in na kamenu novo ime zapisano, katerega nihče ni spoznal, razen kdor ga prejme.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white pebble, and upon the pebble a new name inscribed, which no man knoweth except the person who receiveth it.
18 In angelu občine v Tijatirih piši: To pravi sin Božji, kateri ima oči svoje kakor plamen ognjen, in noge njegove enake svetlemu zlatu;
And to the angel of the church which is at Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes as a flame of fire, and his feet like the molten brass;
19 Vem dela tvoja in ljubezen in službo in vero in stanovitnost tvojo, in dela tvoja, in da je zadnjih več nego prvih.
I know thy deeds, and thy love, and thy charity to the poor, and thy faith, and thy patience, and thy works, and that the last are more abundant than the first.
20 Ali imam zoper tebe nekaj malega, da puščaš ženo Jezabelo, ki se imenuje prerokinjo, učiti in slepiti hlapce moje, kurbati se in jesti malikove žrtve.
Yet I have a few things against thee, because thou hast suffered that woman Jezabel, calling herself a prophetess, to teach, and to lead my servants into error, to commit whoredom, and eat the idol sacrifices.
21 In dal sem ji čas, da se izpokori od kurbarije svoje, in ni se izpokorila.
And I gave her a space that she should repent of her whoredom, and she hath not repented.
22 Glej, jaz jo vržem na posteljo, in prešestnike z njo, v stisko veliko, če se ne izpokoré od dél svojih;
Behold, I am about to cast her on a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
23 In otroke njé pomorim sè smrtjo; in spoznale bodo vse občine, da sem jaz, ki preiskujem obisti in srca; in dal vam bodem vsakemu po delih vaših;
And I will slay her children by death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searcheth the reins and the hearts: and I will give to you, even to every one, according to your works.
24 Vam pa pravim, in ostalim v Tijatirih, kateri nimajo tega uka, in kateri niso spoznali globočin satanovih, kakor pravijo: Ne vržem na vas druge teže;
But to you I say, and to the rest that are at Thyatira, as many as do not hold this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will lay upon them no other burden.
25 Razen kar imate, hranite, dokler ne pridem.
Nevertheless that which you have, hold fast till I come.
26 In kdor premaga in kdor hrani do konca dela moja, dal mu bodem oblast nad pogani;
And he who overcometh, and perseveres in my works unto the end, to him will I give authority over the nations;
27 In pasel jih bode sè šibo železno, kakor se razbijajo posode lončene, kakor sem tudi jaz prejel od očeta svojega:
he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as a potter’s vessels they shall be broken in pieces, even as I have received authority from my Father:
28 In dal mu bodem zvezdo jutranjo.
and I will give him the star of the morning.
29 Kdor ima uho, naj sliši, kaj Duh govori občinam.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
