Psalmi 75

1 Načelniku godbe: "Ne pogubi!" psalm Asafu in pesem. Slavimo te, Bog, slavimo; ker blizu je ime tvoje, čuda tvoja oznanjamo.

To him that excelleth. Destroy not. A Psalme or song committed toAsaph. We will prayse thee, O God, we will prayse thee, for thy Name is neere: therefore they will declare thy wonderous workes.

2 Ko bodem sprejel zbor, sodil bodem najbolj pravično.

When I shall take a conuenient time, I will iudge righteously.

3 Zemlje in vseh njenih prebivalcev stebre omajane utrdil bodem jaz.

The earth and all the inhabitantes thereof are dissolued: but I will establish the pillars of it. (Selah)

4 Govoreč blaznim: Ne bodite blazni, in krivičnim: Ne dvigujte roga.

I saide vnto the foolish, Be not so foolish, and to the wicked, Lift not vp the horne.

5 Ne dvigujte roga svojega zoper Najvišjega; ne govorite s trdim vratom.

Lift not vp your horne on high, neither speake with a stiffe necke.

6 Ker od vzhoda ali od zahoda, tudi od puščave ni povišanja.

For to come to preferment is neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South,

7 Temuč Bog sodnik: tega poniža, onega poviša.

But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

8 Ker čaša je v roki Gospodovi in vino kalno, polno mešanice, iz katere je izlil; vendar goščo njeno, katero bodo iztisnili, pili bodo vsi krivični na zemlji.

For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red: it is full mixt, and he powreth out of the same: surely all the wicked of the earth shall wring out and drinke the dregges thereof.

9 Jaz torej naj oznanjam vekomaj, prepevam Bogu Jakobovemu:

But I will declare for euer, and sing prayses vnto the God of Iaakob.

10 In vse rogove bodem polomil krivičnim; zvišajo naj se pravičnemu rogovi.

All the hornes of the wicked also will I breake: but the hornes of the righteous shalbe exalted.
