Psalmi 29

1 Psalm Davidov. Dajajte Gospodu, sinovi mogočnih, dajajte Gospodu slavo in hvalo.

A Psalm of David. Give unto Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty ones, give unto Jehovah glory and strength;

2 Dajajte Gospodu slavo njegovega imena; priklanjajte se ter izkazujte čast Gospodu v diki svetosti.

Give unto Jehovah the glory of his name; worship Jehovah in holy splendour.

3 Glas Gospodov čez vode, glas Boga mogočnega, slavnega grmi, glas Gospodov čez mnoge vode.

The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth, — Jehovah upon great waters.

4 Glas Gospodov močan, glas Gospodov krasen.

The voice of Jehovah is powerful; the voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 Glas Gospodov lomi cedre, Gospod podira tudi cedre na Libanu.

The voice of Jehovah breaketh cedars; yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon:

6 In dela, da skačejo kakor tele, Libanon in Sirijon, kakor mladič samorogov.

And he maketh them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

7 Glas Gospodov kreše plamene ognjene.

The voice of Jehovah cleaveth out flames of fire.

8 Glas Gospodov prešinja puščavo, prešinja puščavo Kadeško.

The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness; Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 Glas Gospodov dela, da rodé košute, in listje otresa gozdom; ali v svetišči svojem izreka vso slavo svojo.

The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve, and layeth bare the forests; and in his temple doth every one say, Glory!

10 Gospod je sedel o potopu, in Gospod kralj sedi vekomaj.

Jehovah sitteth upon the flood; yea, Jehovah sitteth as king for ever.

11 Gospod daje moč svojemu ljudstvu; Gospod blagoslavlja ljudstvo svoje z mirom.

Jehovah will give strength unto his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
