Psalmi 14

1 Načelniku godbe; Davidova. Nespametni govori v srci svojem: Ni ga Boga: pohujšujejo, ostudna dela doprinašajo, ni ga, da bi delal dobro.

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.

2 Gospod gleda z nebes na sinove človeške, da bi videl, je li kateri, ki bi bil razumen, ki bi iskal Boga.

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 Vsak je odstopil, izpridili so se vsi vkup; ni ga, da bi delal dobro, enega samega ne.

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.

4 Ali si niso v svesti vsi, kateri delajo krivico, ker žró ljudstvo moje kruh jedóč, ne kličejo Gospoda?

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

5 Tu se preplašijo od groze, ker Bog je na strani pravičnemu rodu.

There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 Naklep siromaka ubozega bodete osramotili, seveda! ker Gospod je zavetje njegovo.

All of you have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

7 Kdo naj dá rešenje sè Sijona Izraelu? Ko bode nazaj peljal iz sužnjosti ljudstva svojega krdelo, radoval se bode Jakob, veselil se Izrael.

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
