1 Pesem preizvrstna. Blagor mu, kdorkoli se boji Gospoda, kateri hodi po potih njegovih.

A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways.

2 Delo namreč rok svojih bodeš užival, srečen bodeš in dobro ti bode.

For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.

3 Žena tvoja kakor trta rodovitna na strani hiše tvoje; sinovi tvoji, kakor mlade oljke, obdajali bodo mizo tvojo.

Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table.

4 Glej, tako bode blagoslovljen kateri se boji Gospoda!

Behold, this is how the man who fears the LORD is blessed.

5 Blagoslavlja te Gospod sè Sijona; uživaj torej srečo Jeruzalemsko vse dnî svojega življenja.

May the LORD bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

6 In poglej sinov svojih otroke; mir nad Izraelom!

Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.
