Psalmi 122

1 Pesem preizvrstna Davidova. Veselim se tega, ker se mi pravi: Pojdimo v hišo Gospodovo.

I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of Jehovah.

2 Noge naše stojé med vrati tvojimi, o Jeruzalem!

Our feet are standing inside thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 Jeruzalem, prelepo zidan, mesto, katero je popolnem zvezano med sabo.

Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together,

4 Kamor hodijo rodovi, rodovi Gospodovi po pričanji Izraelcev, slavit ime Gospodovo.

where the tribes go up, even the tribes of Jehovah, for an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of Jehovah.

5 Ker tam stojé prestoli pravice, prestoli hiše Davidove.

For there thrones are set for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 Prosite mir Jeruzalemu govoreč: Mirni naj bodejo kateri ljubijo tebe.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. They shall prosper who love thee.

7 Mir bodi v ozidji tvojem, pokoj v palačah tvojih.

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 Zavoljo bratov mojih in prijateljev mojih govorim sedaj: Mir v tebi!

For my brothers and companions' sakes I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 Zavoljo hiše Gospodove, Boga našega, pripravim ti dobro.

For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.
