Psalmi 119
1 Alef. Blagor poštenim na potu, kateri hodijo po postavi Gospodovi.
[ALEPH.] How happy the men of blameless life, who walk in the law of Yahweh.
2 Blagor njim, ki hranijo pričanja njegova, ki ga iščejo iz vsega srca.
How happy they who observe his testimonies, with a whole heart, they seek him.
3 Kateri tudi ne delajo krivice, ampak hodijo po potih njegovih.
Yea, they have not wrought perversity, In his ways, have they walked.
4 Ti si zapovedal ukaze svoje, da naj se spolnjujejo pridno.
Thou, hast commanded thy precepts, that they should be diligently kept.
5 O da bi bila pota moja obernena spolnjevat postave tvoje!
Oh would that my ways might be settled! that I might keep thy statutes.
6 Tedaj se ne osramotim, ko bodem gledal vse zapovedi tvoje.
Then, shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
7 Slavil te bodem s pravim srcem; učil se sodbâ pravice tvoje.
I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous regulations.
8 Postave tvoje bodem spolnjeval, ne zapusti me tako!
Thy statutes, will I keep, Do not thou forsake me utterly.
9 Bet. Kako bode deček čistil stezo svojo? Držeč se je poleg besede tvoje.
[BETH.] Wherewithal can a young man keep pure his way? By taking heed, according to thy word.
10 Iz vsega srca svojega te iščem, ne daj, da izgrešim zapovedi tvoje.
With all my heart, have I sought thee, Suffer me not to be led astray from thy commandments.
11 V srci svojem hranim govor tvoj, da ne grešim zoper tebe.
In my heart, have I treasured what thou hast said, to the end I may not sin against thee.
12 Ti blagoslavljeni Gospod, uči me postave svoje.
Blessed art thou, O Yahweh—Teach me thy statutes.
13 Z ustnami svojimi preštevam vse pravice tvojih ust,
With my lips, have I recounted All the regulations of thy mouth.
14 Veselim se pota pričanj tvojih, kakor vseh zakladov.
In the way of thy testimonies, have I rejoiced, Like as over all riches.
15 Zapovedi tvoje premišljujem in gledam steze tvoje.
In thy precepts, will I meditate, that I may discern thy paths.
16 V postavah tvojih se razveseljujem, besede tvoje ne zabim.
In thy statutes, will I find my dear delight, I will not forget thy word.
17 Gimel. Dobroto podéli hlapcu svojemu, dokler živim spolnjujem naj besedo tvojo.
[GIMEL.] Bestow thy bounties upon thy servant—let me live, That I may observe thy word.
18 Odgrni oči moje, da gledam čuda po zakonu tvojem.
Unveil thou mine eyes, that I may discern Wondrous things out of thy law.
19 Tujec sem na tej zemlji, ne skrivaj mi zapovedi svojih.
A sojourner, am, I, in the earth, Do not hide from me, thy commandments.
20 Ginem od hrepenenja po pravicah tvojih vsak čas.
My soul is crushed with longing for thy just decisions at all times.
21 Ti pogubljaš prevzetne, proklete, kateri izgrešajo zapovedi tvoje.
Thou hast rebuked the proud as accursed, who stray from thy commandments.
22 Odvali od mene sramoto in zaničevanje, ker hranim pričanja tvoja.
Roll from off me, reproach and contempt, For, thy testimonies, have I observed.
23 Tedaj prvaki sedé in govoré zoper mene, hlapec tvoj premišlja postave tvoje.
Even rulers have taken their seat, against me, have talked, Thy servant, will still meditate in thy statutes.
24 Tedaj so pričanja tvoja razveseljevanja moja, svetovalci moji.
Yea, thy testimonies, are my dear delight, My counsellors.
25 Dalet. V prahu tiči življenje moje, živega me ohrani po besedi svoji.
[DALETH.] My soul, cleaveth to the dust, Give me life, according to thy word.
26 Pota svoja sem prešteval, in ti si me uslišal; úči me postave svoje.
My ways, I recounted, and thou didst answer me, Teach me thy statutes.
27 Daj, da umem pot zapovedi tvojih, da premišljam čuda tvoja.
The way of thy precepts, cause thou me to understand, and I will indeed meditate in thy wonders.
28 Od otožnosti solzi duša moja, dvigni me po besedi svoji.
My soul weepeth itself away, for grief, Confirm thou me, according to thy word.
29 Krivičnosti pot odvrni od mene, in zakon svoj mi podéli milostno.
The way of falsehood, take thou from me, and, with thy law, O favour me.
30 Resnice pot volim, sodbe tvoje imam pred očmi.
The way of faithfulness, have I chosen, Thy regulations, have I deemed right.
31 Držim se pričanj tvojih, Gospod; ne daj, da se osramotim.
I have kept close to thy testimonies, O Yahweh! do not put me to shame.
32 Po potih zapovedi tvojih bodem tekal, ko bodeš razširil srce moje.
The way of thy commandments, will I run, for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
33 He. Uči me, Gospod, postav tvojih pót, katero bodem hranil do konca.
[HE.] Point out to me, O Yahweh, the way of thy statutes, that I may observe it unto the end.
34 Daj, da umem, da hranim zakon tvoj, in da ga spolnjujem iz vsega srca.
Give me understanding, that I may observe thy law, that I may keep it with a whole heart.
35 Daj, da hodim po zapovedi tvojih poti, ker tá me razveseljuje.
Guide me in the path of thy commandments, for, therein, do I find pleasure.
36 Nagni srce moje k postavam svojim, in ne k dobičku.
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not unto unjust gain.
37 Odvrni oči moje, da ne gledajo ničemurnosti; po potih tvojih daj da živim.
Turn away mine eyes, from beholding vanity, In thy way, give me life.
38 Stóri govor svoj hlapcu svojemu, kateri je vdan strahu pred teboj.
Establish, unto thy servant, thy word, which pertaineth to the reverence of thee.
39 Odvrni sramoto mojo, katere se bojim, ker dobre so pravice tvoje.
Cause to pass away my reproach, that I have feared, for, thy regulations, are good.
40 Glej, ukazov tvojih želim, v pravici tvoji daj mi živeti.
Lo! I have longed for thy precepts, In thy righteousness, give me life.
41 Vav. Ko mi bodejo prišle milosti tvoje, Gospod; blaginja tvoja po govoru tvojem,
[WAW.] And let thy lovingkindness reach me, O Yahweh, thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 Odgovoril bodem njemu, ki me sramoti, kakor je; ker zaupanje imam v besedo tvojo.
So shall I have something to answer him that reproacheth me, That I have trusted in thy word.
43 Ali od ust mojih ne odvzemi besede svoje resnične; ker pravic tvojih čakam.
And do not snatch away from my mouth the word of truth in any wise, because, for thy regulation, have I waited.
44 In spolnjeval bodem zakon tvoj vedno, vekomaj in vekomaj.
That I may keep thy law continually, to times age-abiding and beyond.
45 In neprestano bodem hodil po sami širjavi, ker povelj tvojih iščem.
That I may walk to and fro in a large place, because, thy precepts, have I sought.
46 In govoril bodem o pričanjih tvojih pred kralji, in ne bode me sram.
That I may speak of thy testimonies before kings, and not be ashamed.

That I may find dear delight in thy commandments, which I have loved.

That I may lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and may meditate in thy statutes.
49 Zajin. Spomni se besede svoje s hlapcem svojim, o kateri si mi dal upanje.
[ZAYIN.] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
50 To je tolažilo moje v bridkosti moji; da me govor tvoj oživlja.
This, is my comfort in mine affliction, that, thy word, hath given me life.
51 Prevzetniki se mi posmehujejo silno, od postave tvoje ne zavijem.
Insolent men, have derided me exceedingly, From thy law, have I not swerved.
52 Spominjam so sodbà tvojih od vekomaj, Gospod, in samega sebe tolažim.
I have remembered thy regulations, [which have come down] from age-past times, O Yahweh, and have consoled myself.
53 Vihar me grabi od krivičnih, ki zapuščajo zakon tvoj.
A raging heat, hath seized me, by reason of the lawless, who forsake thy law.
54 Prepevanju predmet so mi postave tvoje v kraji popotovanj mojih.
Songs, have thy statutes become to me, in my house of sojourn.
55 Ponoči se spominjam imena tvojega, Gospod; in zakon tvoj spolnjujem.
I have remembered, in the night, thy Name, O Yahweh, and have kept thy law.
56 To je tolažba meni, da hranim zapovedi tvoje.
This, have I had, because, thy precepts, have I observed.
57 Het. Delež moj si, Gospod, pravim, da spolnjujem besede tvoje.
[HETH.] My portion, is Yahweh, I have promised that I would keep thy words.
58 Obličje tvoje molim iz vsega srca svojega; milost mi izkaži po govoru svojem.
I have sought the smile of thy face with all my heart, Show me favour, according to thy word.
59 Pota svoja premišljam, da obračam noge svoje po pričanjih tvojih.
I have thought upon my ways, and have turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
60 Hitim in se ne mudim spolnjevat zapovedi tvoje.
I have hastened, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
61 Krdela krivičnih me plenijo, a postave tvoje ne zabim.
The meshes of the lawless, have surrounded me, Thy law, have I not forgotten.
62 O polunoči vstajam slavit te, zavoljo zapovedi tvojih pravičnih.
At midnight, I arise to give thanks unto thee, For thy righteous regulations.
63 Tovariš sem vsem, kateri te česté in spolnjujejo povelja tvoja.
Companion, am I, to all who revere thee, and to them who keep thy precepts.
64 Milosti tvoje, o Gospod, polna je zemlja; postave svoje me úči.
Of thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, the earth, is full, Thy statutes, teach thou me.
65 Tet. Dobro si storil hlapcu svojemu, Gospod; po besedi svoji.
[TETH.] Well, hast thou dealt with thy servant, O Yahweh, according to thy word.
66 Izvrstnost pameti in vednosti me úči; ker zapovedim tvojim verujem.
Good judgment and knowledge, teach thou me, For, in thy commandments, have I trusted.
67 Ko nisem še govoril, motil sem se; sedaj pa spolnjujem govor tvoj.
Before I was afflicted, I myself was going astray, but, now, thy word, have I kept.
68 Dober si in dobrotljiv, úči me postave svoje.
Good, thou art, and doing good, Teach me thy statutes.
69 Ko zvijačo napravljajo zoper mene prevzetniki, jaz iz vsega srca hranim povelja tvoja.
Insolent men have plastered falsehood over me, I, with a whole heart, will observe thy precepts.
70 Debelí se kakor z mastjo njih srce; jaz se zakona tvojega radujem.
Gross, like fat, is their heart, I, in thy law, have found dear delight.
71 Na dobro mi je bila bridkost, da bi se učil postav tvojih.
It is, well for me, that I was afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
72 Boljši mi je zakon tvojih ust nego mnogo tisoč zlatnikov in srebernikov.
Better to me, is the law of thy mouth, than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Jod. Roke tvoje so me naredile in napravile me; storí me razumnega, da se učim povelj tvojih.
[YODH.] Thine own hands, have made me, and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Boječi se tebe naj me vidijo ter se veselé, ker imam v besedi tvoji nado svojo.
They who revere thee, shall see me and rejoice, that, for thy word, I waited.
75 Spoznavam, Gospod, da so pravične sodbe tvoje; in da si me v zvestobi ponižal.
I know, O Yahweh, that righteous are thy regulations, and, in faithfulness, didst thou afflict me.
76 Pridi skoraj milost tvoja, da me tolaži, po govoru tvojem s tvojim hlapcem.
Let thy lovingkindness, I beseech thee, serve to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Dojdejo naj mi usmiljenja tvoja, da živim; ker zakon je vse razveseljevanje moje.
Let thy compassions reach me, that I may live, for, thy law, is my dear delight.
78 Osramoté se naj prevzetniki, ker mi hudo delajo po krivem, ko premišljujem povelja tvoja.
Let insolent men, be ashamed, because, by means of falsehood, they have dealt with me perversely, I, will meditate in thy precepts.
79 Povrnejo se naj k meni boječi se tebe in poznajoči pričanja tvoja.
Let them who revere thee, turn unto me, even they who know thy testimonies.
80 Srce moje bode pošteno v postavah tvojih, da se ne osramotim.
Let my heart be thorough in thy statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Kaf. Duša moja koperni po blaginji tvoji; v besedi tvoji imam nado.
[KAPH.] My soul, hath languished for thy salvation, For thy word, have I hoped.
82 Oči moje koperné po govoru tvojem, ko govorim: Kedaj me bodeš potolažil?
Mine eyes have failed for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Dasì sem podoben mehu v dimu, postav tvojih nisem pozabil.
Though I have been like a wine-skin in the smoke, thy statutes, have I not forgotten.
84 Koliko bode dnî hlapca tvojega? Kedaj bodeš sodil nje, ki me preganjajo?
How few are the days of thy servant! When wilt thou execute sentence on my persecutors?
85 Jame mi kopljejo prevzetniki, kateri se ne ravnajo po zakonu tvojem.
Insolent men digged for me pits, men who are not according to thy law.
86 Vsa povelja tvoja zgolj resnica; po krivem me preganjajo, pomagaj mi.
All thy commandments, are faithful, With falsehood, have they persecuted me, O help me!
87 Skoraj so me uničili vrženega na tla; jaz pa se nísem izneveril postavam tvojim.
A little more, and they had consumed me in the earth, but, I, forsake not thy precepts.
88 Po milosti svoji ohrani me živega, da spolnjujem pričanja tvojih ust.
According to thy lovingkindness, give thou me life, so will I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 Lamed. Vekomaj, o Gospod, biva beseda tvoja v nebesih,
[LAMED.] Age-abidingly, O Yahweh, hath thy word been set up in the heavens.
90 Od roda do roda zvestoba tvoja; ko si ustanavljal zemljo, stala je ona.
To generation after generation, is thy faithfulness, Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
91 Po sodbah tvojih stoji vse še danes; ker vse ono služi tebi.
By thy regulations, do they stand to-day, for, all, are thy servants.
92 Ako bi ne bil zakon tvoj vse razveseljevanje moje, zdavnaj že bi bil poginil v nadlogi svoji.
Had not thy law been my dear delight, then, had I perished in mine affliction.
93 Vekomaj ne pozabim povelj tvojih, ker z njimi hraniš me živega.
Unto times age-abiding, will I not forget thy precepts, For, by them, hast thou given me life.
94 Tvoj sem, hrani me, ker povelj tvojih iščem.
Thine, am I, —oh save me! For, thy precepts, have I sought.
95 Ko me čakajo krivični, da me pogubé, pregledujem pričanja tvoja.
For me, have the lawless waited, to destroy me, Thy testimonies, will I diligently consider.
96 Sleherne popolnosti vidim da je konec; povelje tvoje pa je obširno silno.
To all perfection, have I seen an end, Broad is thy commandment, exceedingly.
97 Mem. Kako ljubim zakon tvoj! ves dan je premišljevanje moje.
[MEM.] Oh how I love thy law! All the day, is it my (meditation)
98 Modrejšega od sovražnikov mojih me dela po poveljih tvojih; ker vekomaj mi je na strani.
Beyond mine enemies, will thy commandment make me wise, for, age-abidingly, shall it be mine.
99 Razumnejši postajam od vseh učenikov svojih; ker pričanja tvoja so premišljevanje moje.
Beyond all my teachers, have I shown discretion, for, thy testimonies, are my (meditation)
100 Razumnejši sem od starcev, ker hranim povelja tvoja.
Beyond the elders, will I show understanding, for, thy precepts, have I observed.
101 Od vsake hudobne steze zadržujem noge svoje, da spolnjujem besedo tvojo.
From every way of wickedness, have I withheld my feet, that I might keep thy word.
102 Od sodbâ tvojih se ne ganem, ker ti me učiš.
From thy regulations, have I not turned aside, for, thou, hast directed me.
103 Kako sladki so mojemu grlu govori tvoji! sladkejši od medú ustom mojim.
How smooth to my palate is thy speech, More than honey, to my mouth.
104 Po poveljih tvojih sem razumen, zatorej sovražim vsako stezo krivičnosti.
Out of thy precepts, will I get understanding, For this cause, do I hate every false way.
105 Nun. Svetilo nogi moji je beseda tvoja, in poti moji luč.
[NUN.] A lamp to my feet, is thy word, and a light to my path.
106 Prisegel sem, kar bodem držal, da bodem spolnjeval pravične sodbe tvoje.
I sware, and have fulfilled, To keep thy righteous regulations.
107 Ponižan sem silno, Gospod; živega me ohrani, po besedi svoji.
I have been afflicted exceedingly, —O Yahweh, give me life according to thy word.
108 Prostovoljne daritve ust mojih sprejemaj, prosim, Gospod; in pravice svoje me úči.
The freewill offerings of my mouth, accept, I pray thee, O Yahweh, And, thy regulations, teach thou me.
109 Duša moja je vedno v roki moji; vendar ne zabim tvojega zakona.
My life, is in my hand continually, Yet, thy law, have I not forgotten.
110 Mogočni krivičniki mi stavijo zanko, vendar od povelj tvojih ne zajdem.
The lawless have set a snare for me, Yet, from thy precepts, have I not strayed.
111 Pričanja tvoja imam vekomaj, ker so veselje mojemu srcu.
As an inheritance have I taken thy testimonies unto times age-abiding, for, the joy of my heart, they are.
112 Srce svoje nagibljem, da spolnjuje postave tvoje, vekomaj, večno!
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Age-abidingly, to the end.
113 Sameh. Misli druge sovražim, zakon pa tvoj ljubim.
[SAMECH.] Half-hearted ones, do I hate, but, thy law, do I love.
114 Zatišje si moje in ščit moj; v besedi tvoji imam nado.
My hiding-place and my buckler, thou art, For thy word, have I waited.
115 Umaknite se od mene, hudobni, da hranim ukaze svojega Boga.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers, —that I may observe the commandments of my God.
116 Podpiraj me po govoru svojem, da živim; in ne osramoti me v nadi moji.
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live, and do not shame me out of my hope!
117 Podpiraj me, da bodem otét, in da gledam vedno na postave tvoje.
Sustain me, that I may be saved, and may find dear delight in thy statutes continually.
118 Vse, kateri izgrešujejo postave tvoje, teptaš; ker krivična je njih zvijača.
Thou hast made light of all who stray from thy statutes, for their fraud is, falsehood.
119 Kakor žlindro odpravljaš vse krivične sè zemlje; zatorej ljubim pričanja tvoja.
Dross, have I accounted all the lawless of the earth, therefore do I love thy testimonies.
120 Od strahú pred teboj trepeče meso moje; tako me je strah tvojih sodbâ.
My flesh, bristled up from dread of thee, and, of thy regulations, stand I in fear.
121 Hajin. Po sodbi delam in pravici; ne izročaj me njim, ki me stiskajo.
[AYIN.] I have done justice and righteousness, —Do not leave me to mine oppressors.
122 Porok bodi hlapcu svojemu na dobro; da me ne zatirajo prevzetni.
Be thou surety for thy servant for good, Let not insolent men oppress me.
123 Oči moje koperné po blaginji tvoji, in po pravičnem govoru tvojem.
Mine eyes, have become dim for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
124 Ravnaj po milosti svoji s hlapcem svojim; in postave svoje me úči.
Deal with thy servant according to thy lovingkindness, and, thy statutes, teach thou me.
125 Hlapec sem tvoj, storí me razumnega, da spoznam pričanja tvoja.
Thy servant, I am—give me understanding, so shall I get to know thy testimonies.
126 Čas je, da dela Gospod; v nič dévajo zakon tvoj.
It is time that Yahweh should work, They have frustrated thy law!
127 Zatorej bolj ljubim ukaze tvoje, ko zlato in sicer najčistejše.
For this cause, do I love thy commandments, More than gold, yea than fine gold!
128 Zato spoznavam vse ukaze za prave; vsako stezo krivičnosti sovražim.
For this cause, all thy precepts concerning all things, I deem right, Every way of falsehood, I hate.
129 Pe. Čudovita so pričanja tvoja; zatorej jih hrani duša moja.
[PE.] Wonderful are thy testimonies, For this cause, hath my soul observed them.
130 Dohod besed tvojih razsvetljuje; z razumnostjo podučuje preproste.
The opening of thy words, sheddeth light, Giving understanding to the simple.
131 Usta svoja raztezam in sopiham; ker želján sem ukazov tvojih.
My mouth, have I opened wide, and panted, because, for thy commandments, have I longed.
132 Ozri se v mé in storí mi milost; kakor je prav proti njim, kateri ljubijo ime tvoje.
Turn thyself unto me, and show me favour, —As is befitting, to the lovers of thy Name.
133 Noge moje utrdi v govoru svojem, in ne daj da gospoduje kaka krivica z menoj.
My steps, direct thou by thy word, and let no iniquity, have dominion over me.
134 Otmi me zatiranja ljudî, da spolnjujem postave tvoje.
Set me free from the oppression of man, so will I keep thy precepts.
135 Daj, da sveti tvoje obličje pred hlapcem tvojim; in úči me postave svoje.
Thy face, light thou up on thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
136 Potoki vodâ tekó iz mojih oči, zaradi njih, ki ne spolnjujejo tvojega zakona.
Streams of water, have run down mine eyes, because men have not kept thy law.
137 Sade. Pravičen si, Gospod, in raven v sodbah svojih.
[ZADHE.] Righteous art thou, O Yahweh, —and, equitable, are thy regulations.
138 Ukazal si pravična pričanja svoja, in silno zvesta.
Thou hast righteously commanded thy testimonies, yea in great faithfulness.
139 Od gorečnosti svoje ginem, ker besede tvoje zabijo sovražniki moji.
My zeal, hath put an end to me, for mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
140 Čist je govor tvoj močno; zatorej ga ljubi hlapec tvoj.
Refined is thy word, to the uttermost, and, thy servant loveth it.
141 Majhen sem jaz in zaničevan; povelj tvojih ne zabim,
Small, am I, and despised, Thy precepts, have I not forgotten.
142 Pravice tvoje, vedne pravice, in postave tvoje resnične.
Thy righteousness, is righteous to times age-abiding, and, thy law, is truth.
143 Zatiranje in stiska me obhajati; ukazi tvoji so razveseljevanje moje.
Straitness and distress, have befallen me, Thy commandments, are my dear delights.
144 Pravica pričanj tvojih je vekomaj; razumnega me naredi, da živim.
Righteous are thy testimonies, unto times age-abiding, Give me understanding, that I may live.
145 Kof. Ko te kličem iz vsega srca, usliši me, Gospod, da hranim postave tvoje.
[KOPH.] I have cried out with all my heart, answer me, O Yahweh; Thy statutes, will I observe.
146 Ko te kličem, reši me, da spolnjujem pričanja tvoja.
I have cried out unto thee, oh save me, That I may keep thy testimonies.
147 Préd te pridem v somraku, da vpijem; v besedo tvojo imam upanje.
I forestalled the twilight, and cried for help, For thy word, I waited.
148 Oči moje prehitujejo straže, premišljat govor tvoj.
Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, To meditate in thy word.
149 Glas moj poslušaj po milosti svoji, Gospod; po sodbah svojih ohrani me živega,
My voice, O hear, according to thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh! according to thy wont, give me life.
150 Ko se bližajo pregrehe učenci, ki so daleč od zakona tvojega,
They have drawn near, who pursue villainy, From thy law, have they gone far away.
151 Blizu si, Gospod; in vsi ukazi tvoji so resnica.
Near art thou, O Yahweh, and, all thy commandments, are truth.
152 Zdavnaj vem o pričanjih tvojih, da si jih ustanovil vekomaj.
Long, have I known, from thy testimonies, That, to times age-abiding, thou didst establish them.

155 Daleč od krivičnih bodi blaginja, ker ne iščejo postav tvojih.
Far from the lawless, is salvation, For, thy statutes, have they not sought.
156 Usmiljenje tvoje je obilo, Gospod; po sodbah tvojih, ohrani me živega.
Thy compassions, are great, O Yahweh, According to thy regulations, give me life.
157 Dasì je mnogo preganjalcev mojih in sovražnikov mojih, od pričanj tvojih ne krenem.
Many, are my persecutors and mine adversaries, From thy testimonies, have I not swerved.
158 Kakor hitro vidim izdajalce, mučim z gnjusom samega sebe, ker se ne držé govora tvojega.
I have seen traitors, and felt loathing, Because, thy word, they kept not.
159 Glej, da ljubim povelja tvoja, Gospod; po milosti svoji ohrani me živega.
See thou that, thy precepts, I have loved, O Yahweh, according to thy lovingkindness, give me life.
160 Preblaga beseda tvoja je sama resnica; in vekomaj je vsaka pravična sodba tvoja.
The sum of thy word, is truth, and, age-abiding, is every one of thy righteous regulations.
161 Šin. Ko me preganjajo po nedolžnem prvaki; boji se besede tvoje moje srce.
[SHIN.] Rulers, have persecuted me, without cause, But, of thy word, hath my heart stood in awe.
162 Veselim se govora tvojega; kakor kdor je našel plen obilen.
Joyful am I over thy word, Like the finder of spoil in abundance.
163 Krivičnost sovražim in studim, zakon tvoj ljubim.
Falsehood, I hate and abhor, Thy law, do I love.
164 Sedemkrat te hvalim na dán za pravične sodbe tvoje.
Seven times in the day, have I praised thee, For thy righteous regulations.
165 Velik mir imajo, kateri ljubijo zakon tvoj, in ní jim izpotike.
Blessing in abundance, have the lovers of thy law, and nothing to make them stumble.
166 Blaginje tvoje čakam, Gospod; in ukaze tvoje spolnjujem.
I have looked for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy commandments, have I done.
167 Duša moja spolnjuje pričanja tvoja, in ljubim jih močno.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies, yea I have loved them greatly.
168 Povelja tvoja spolnjujem in pričanja tvoja, ker vsa pota moja so pred teboj.
I have kept thy precepts, and thy testimonies, For, all my ways, are before thee.
169 Tav. Vpitje moje se bližaj tvojemu obličju, Gospod; po besedi svoji naredi me umnega.
[TAU] Let my shouting come near before thee, O Yahweh, According to thy word, give me understanding.
170 Molitev moja pridi pred obličje tvoje; po govoru svojem otmi me.
Let my supplication come in before thee, According to thy word, deliver me.
171 Hvala bodo vrela z ustnic mojih, ko me bodeš učil postave svoje.
My lips, shall pour out, praise, When thou shalt teach me thy statutes.
172 Jezik moj bode prepeval govor tvoj, da so prepravične vse zapovedi tvoje.
My tongue, shall respond, with thy word, For, all thy commandments, are righteous.
173 V pomoč mi bodi na strani roka tvoja; ker volim povelja tvoja.
Be thy hand ready to help me, For, thy statutes, have I chosen.
174 Po blaginji tvoji hrepenim, Gospod; in zakon tvoj je vse razveseljevanje moje.
I have longed for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy law, is my dear delight.
175 Živi duša moja, da hvali tebe; in sodbe tvoje naj pomagajo meni.
Let my soul live, that it may praise thee, So shall thy regulation help me.
176 Potikam se kakor ovca izgubljena, išči svojega hlapca; ker povelj tvojih ne zabim.
I have strayed like a wandering sheep, O seek thy servant, For, thy commandments, have I not forgotten.
