Psalmi 107
1 Slavite Gospoda, ker dober je; ker vekomaj je dobrota njegova!
O GIVE thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.
2 Govoré naj rešenci Gospodovi, katere je rešil iz stiske;
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 Katere je zbral iz dežél od vzhoda in od zahoda, od severja in od morja.
And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
4 Tavali so po puščavi, po potih samotnih, mesta za prebivališče niso našli;
They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation.
5 Lačni in žejni, njih duša je hirala v njh.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Klicali so Gospoda v stiski svoji; iz njih nadloge jih je rešil.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 In vodil jih je po pravem potu, da so prišli v prebivališča mesto.
He led them also by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Slavé naj pred Gospodom milost njegovo, in čudovita dela njegova pri sinovih človeških:
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 Da on siti dušo potrebno, in dušo gladno napolnjuje z dobrim.
For he satisfieth the longing soul, and the hungry soul he filleth with good.
10 Kateri sedevajo v temoti in smrtni senci, v bridkosti sponah in v železu,
Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
11 Ker so dali priliko, izpremeniti besedo Boga mogočnega, in zavrgli so sklep Najvišjega,
Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High:
12 Srce njih ponižuje s tisto nadlogo; omahujejo in nihče ne pomaga.
Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13 Klicali so Gospoda v stiski svoji; rešil jih je iz njih nadloge.
Then they cried unto the LORD hi their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14 Izpeljal jih je iz temin in smrtne sence, raztrgal je njih vezí.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15 Slavé naj pri Gospodu milost njegovo, in čudovita dela njegova pri sinovih človeških.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16 Da on razbija bronasta vrata, in razlomi zapahe železne.
For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17 Nespametni, zavoljo pota pregrehe, zavoljo krivic svojih so v bridkosti.
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18 Njih srce studi vsako hrano; bližajo se smrtnim durim.
Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19 Klicali so Gospoda v stiski svoji, rešil jih je iz njih nadloge.
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 Poslal je besedo svojo in ozdravil jih; in rešil iz njih jam.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth [them] from their destructions.
21 Slavé naj pri Gospodu milost njegovo, in čudovita dela njegova pri sinovih človeških.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22 In darujejo naj hvalne daritve ter oznanjajo s petjem dela njegova.
And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.
23 Kateri so šli na morje v ladijah, in so opravljali delo na širnih vodah;
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 Oni vidijo dela Gospodova in čuda njegova v globočini:
These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Kako ukaže in naplavi vihar, kateri dviguje valove njegove,
For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 Kako se spenjajo do neba, in padajo v globočine; njih duša koprni v nadlogi;
They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul melteth away because of trouble.
27 Opotekajo se in gibljejo kakor pijani; in vsa njih spretnost gine.
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28 Klicali so Gospoda v stiski svoji, rešil jih je iz njih nadloge.
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 Premenil je vihar v tišino, in utihnili so njih valovi.
He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 In vesele, ko so potihnili valovi, peljal jih je v brodišče zaželeno.
Then are they glad because they be quiet: so he bringeth them unto the haven where they would be.
31 Slavé naj pri Gospodu milost njegovo, in dela čudovita njegova pri sinovih človeških.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
32 In poveličujejo naj ga v zboru ljudstva, in v seji starejšin naj ga hvalijo.
Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.
33 Reke izpreminja v puščavo, in vode tekoče v tla suhotna;
He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground;
34 Zemljo rodovitno v solnato zavoljo hudobnih prebivalcev njenih.
A fruitful land into a salt desert, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35 Puščavo izpreminja v stoječo vodo in zemljo suhotno v vode tekoče.
He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings.
36 Storivši, da prebivajo tam lakotni, in ustanové mesto za prebivališče,
And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city of habitation;
37 In da posejejo njive in zasadé vinograde ter prideljujejo sad rodoviten.
And sow fields, and plant vineyards, and get them fruits of increase.
38 Blagoslavlja jih tako, da se množijo silno, in živine njih ne zmanjšuje.
He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39 A zmanjšujejo se in uklanjajo hudobni v stiski in žalovanji,
Again, they are minished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.
40 Ko izliva zaničevanje nad prvake in dela, da tavajo po praznoti brez potov.
He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.
41 In stavi na višavo siromaka, in kakor čedo množi rodovine.
Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like a flock.
42 Vidijo naj pravični in se veselé; vsa malopridnost pa zapri usta svoja.
The upright shall see it, and be glad; and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 Kdorkoli je moder, vidi to in pazi na milost Gospodovo.
Whoso is wise shall give heed to these things, and they shall consider the mercies of the LORD.
