Luka 21
1 Pogledavši pa gor, videl je bogatine, da mečejo darove svoje v zakladnico.
AND as he looked up, he saw some casting their gifts into the treasury who were rich.
2 Videl je pa tudi eno vdovo ubogo, da je vrgla dva vinarja.
And he observed also a certain widow, miserably poor, put in there two mites.
3 Ter reče: Resnično vam pravim, da je ta uboga vdova vrgla več od vseh:
And he said, Of a truth I tell you that this poor widow hath put in more than all they:
4 Kajti vsi ti so vrgli od obilnosti svoje v dar Bogu, a ta je od uboštva svojega vrgla ves živež svoj, kterega je imela.
for all they have of their superfluity cast into the oblations for God: but she out of her indigence hath cast in all the substance which she possessed.
5 In ko so nekteri pravili za tempelj, da je olepšan z lepim kamenjem in dragocenostmi, reče:
And some of them talking of the temple, how adorned it was with the beautiful stone-work and the dedicated offerings, he said,
6 Prišli bodo dnevi, ko od tega, kar vidite, ne bo ostal kamen na kamenu, kteri ne bi razpadel.
As for these things which ye are gazing upon, the days will come, in which one stone will not be left upon another, that shall not be utterly thrown down.
7 In vprašajo ga, govoreč: Učenik, kedaj pa bo to? in kaj bo znamenje, kedar se ima to zgoditi?
And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what is the sign, when these things are ready to come to pass?
8 On pa reče: Varujte se, da vas ne premotijo! kajti veliko jih bo prišlo v ime moje, in porekó: Jaz sem! in: Čas se je približal! Ne hodite torej za njimi.
Then he said, Take heed that ye be not deluded: for many will come in my name, saying, I am he; and the period approaches: go not therefore after them.
9 Kedar boste pa slišali vojske in vstaje, ne uplašite se; kajti to se mora najprej zgoditi: ali konca ne bo precej.
But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the conclusion is not immediately.
10 Tedaj jim je pravil: Vstal bo narod na narod, in kraljestvo na kraljestvo;
Then saith he unto them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 In veliki potresi bodo po krajih in lakote in kuge, groza in znamenja velika bodo na nebu.
and great earthquakes shall be in different places, and famines, and pestilences; and in the heaven shall be frightful appearances, and mighty signs.
12 A pred vsem tem bodo položili roke svoje na vas, in preganjali vas bodo in izdajali v shajališča in ječe, in vodili pred kralje in poglavarje, za voljo imena mojega.
But before all these things, they will lay hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and to prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.
13 A to vam se bo zgodilo na pričevanje.
And it shall afford you an opportunity to bear your testimony.
14 Položite torej v srce svoje, da ne skrbite naprej, kako se boste zagovarjali;
Therefore rest satisfied in your hearts, not to premeditate what apology to make:
15 Kajti jaz vam bom dal usta in modrost, kterej ne bodo mogli nasprotovati, ne upirati se vsi nasprotniki vaši.
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall be utterly unable to contradict or resist.
16 Izdajali vas bodo pa tudi roditelji in bratje in sorodniki in prijatelji, in nektere od vas bodo umorili.
But ye shall be betrayed even by parents, and brethren, and relations, and friends; and some of you they shall put to death.
17 In sovražili vas bodo vsi za voljo imena mojega.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
18 Pa las z glave vam ne bo poginil.
Though a hair of your head shall in nowise perish.
19 H potrpljenjem svojim pridobivajte duše svoje.
In your patience possess ye your souls.
20 Kedar boste pa videli, da Jeruzalem oblega vojska, tedaj vedite, da se je približalo razdejanje njegovo.
But when ye see Jerusalem, encircled with armies, then know that the desolation of it approaches.
21 Tedaj naj, kteri so v Judeji, odbežé na gore: in kteri so sredi njega, izidejo naj na polje; in kteri so na polji, naj ne hodijo va-nj.
Then let those who are in Judea fly unto the mountains; and let those who are in the midst of her get far away: and they who are in the countries, let them not enter into her.
22 Kajti ti dnevi bodo dnevi maščevanja, da se izpolnijo vsa pisma.
For these are the days of vengeance, when all things which are written shall be fulfilled.
23 Gorjé pa nosečim in doječim v tistih dnéh; kajti velika nadloga bo na zemlji, in jeza nad tem narodom.
But wo to those who are big with child, and have infants at their breasts, in those days! for there shall be great distress on the earth, and wrath upon this people.
24 In padali bodo od ostrice meča, in gonili jih bodo v sužnost po vseh narodih, in Jeruzalem bodo gazili pogani, dokler se ne izpolnijo časi poganov.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden under foot of the Gentiles, until the times appointed for the Gentiles shall come to their period.
25 In znamenja bodo v solncu, in mesecu in zvezdah, in narodom na zemlji žalost od obupa, šuma morskega in valovja;
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Ludjé bodo mrli od strahu in pričakovanja tega, kar ima na zemljo priti: kajti sile nebeške se bodo pregibale.
men terrified to death with fear, and expectation of the calamities coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 In tedaj bodo ugledali sina človečjega, da gre na oblaku z veliko močjó in slavo.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory.
28 Ko se bo pa to jelo goditi, ozrite se gor in povzdignite glave svoje, ker se približuje odrešenje vaše.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29 In pové jim priliko: Poglejte smokvo in vse drevje.
And he spake a parable unto them, Behold the fig-tree, and all the trees,
30 Kedar vidite, da je uže pognalo, sami véste, da je pomlad uže blizu.
when they now put forth, as soon as ye see it ye know in yourselves that the summer is now near:
31 Tako tudi vi, ko boste videli, da se to godí, védite, da je blizu kraljestvo Božje.
so ye also, when ye see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand.
32 Resnično vam pravim, da ne bo prešel ta rod, dokler se vse ne zgodí.
Verily I say unto you, That this generation shall in nowise pass away, until all these things come to pass.
33 Nebo in zemlja bosta prešla, a besede moje ne bodo prešle.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall never pass away.
34 Varujte se pa, da vam ne otežajo srca s požrešnostjo in pijanstvom in skrbmí tega sveta, in vam ne pride ta dan iznenada.
But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts should be overloaded with surfeiting and drunkenness, and the anxious cares of life, and that day should come upon you unawares.
35 Kajti prišel bo kakor zanka na vse, kteri prebivajo na lici vse zemlje.
For as a snare shall it come upon all that are settled on the face of the whole earth.
36 Čujte torej vsak čas, in molite, da bi bili vredni ubežati vsemu temu, kar se ima zgoditi, in pred sinom človečjim stati.
Watch therefore, praying at every proper opportunity, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things which are ready to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 In po dnevi je učil v tempeljnu; a po noči je izhajal prenočevat na goro, ktera se imenuje Oljska.
And during the day he continued teaching in the temple; but at night he went out, and lodged in the mountain called the mount of Olives.
38 In dohajalo je vse ljudstvo zgodaj k njemu v tempelj poslušat ga.
And all the people came to him early in the morning at the temple, to hear him.
