1 Pavel apostelj, ne od ljudî, tudi ne po človeku, nego po Jezusu Kristusu in Bogu očetu, kteri ga je obudil iz mrtvih, )
PAUL the apostle (not sent from men, nor by man, but by Jesus Christ, and our Father who raised him from the dead),
2 In vsi bratje, kteri so z menoj, cerkvam Galaških,
and all the brethren with me, to the churches of Galatia:
3 Milost vam in mir od Boga očeta in Gospoda našega Jezusa Kristusa,
grace unto you, and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ;
4 Kteri je dal sebe za grehe naše, da nas reši iz sedanjega hudega veka po volji Boga in očeta našega, (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins, that he might pluck us out of this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father: (aiōn g165)
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Čudim se, da ste se tako hitro odvrnili od tega, kteri vas je poklical v milosti Kristusovej na drugi evangelj,
I marvel that ye are so quickly departed from him that called you, by the grace of Christ into another gospel
7 Kteri ni drugi, samo da so nekteri, kteri vas zmedajo in hočejo preobrniti evangelj Kristusov.
which is not another; but there are certain persons who trouble you, and desire to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 Ali tudi, ko bi vam mi ali angelj iz nebes oznanjeval evangelj drugač, nego smo vam mi oznanili, preklet bodi.
But though even we, or an angel from heaven, preach unto you another gospel, different from that which we have preached to you, let him be an anathema.
9 Kakor smo poprej rekli, tudi sedaj zopet pravim: če vam kdo oznanjuje evangelj drugač, nego ste ga prejeli, preklet bodi.
As we have before spoken, and I now repeat it again, If any man preach a gospel different from that ye have received, let him be anathema.
10 Jeli sedaj ljudî nagovarjam ali Boga? ali gledam ljudém po godu biti? Kajti ko bi še ljudém po godu bil, ne bil bi Kristusov služabnik.
For do I now use persuasions from men, or from God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 Na znanje vam pa dajem, bratje, da evangelj, kterega sem jaz oznanil, ni po človeku;
But I give you to understand, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not a merely human ministry.
12 Tudi ga nisem jaz po človeku prejel, niti ga se naučil, nego po razodetji Jezusa Kristusa.
For I neither received it from man, nor was taught, but by immediate revelation from Jesus Christ.
13 Kajti slišali ste moje vedenje nekdaj v judovstvu, da sem črez mero preganjal cerkev Božjo in jo zatiral,
For ye have heard of my former manner of life, when I professed Judaism, that in the most outrageous manner I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14 In sem napredoval v judovstvu bolje od mnogih vrstnikov v rodu svojem in bil sem preobilo vnet za očetovska svoja sporočila.
and signalized myself in Judaism above many of those of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly a zealot for the traditions of my fathers.
15 A kedar se je zvidelo Bogu, kteri me je izbral iz telesa matere moje in poklical po milosti svojej,
But when it pleased God, who selected me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 Da razodene sina svojega v meni, da ga z evangeljem oznanim med pogani, precej nisem za svet poprašal mesa in krvi,
to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach the glad tidings of him to the nations, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood,
17 Tudi nisem šel gor v Jeruzalem k tistim, kteri so bili pred menoj aposteljni, nego odšel sem v Arabijo in zopet sem se povrnil v Damask.
nor went up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
18 Po tem črez tri leta sem prišel gor v Jeruzalem, da vidim Petra, in ostal sem pri njem petnajst dnî.
Afterwards at the expiration of three years I went up unto Jerusalem to pay a visit to Peter, and I abode with him fifteen days.
19 Ali drugega izmed aposteljnov nisem videl, razen Jakoba, brata Gospodovega.
But I saw no other of the apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.
20 A kar vam pišem, lej pričo Boga, da ne lažem.
Now respecting the things which I write unto you, behold, in the presence of God, I lie not.
21 Po tem sem prišel v kraje Sirske in Cilicijske.
Afterwards I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 A bil sem neznan po licu cerkvam Judejskim, ktere so v Kristusu bile;
and I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea, which are in Christ:
23 Samo slišali so, da tisti, kteri nas je nekdaj preganjal, sedaj oznanjuje vero, ktero je nekdaj zatiral,
only they had heard, that he who persecuted us in time past, now preaches the faith which he once laid waste.
24 In slavili so v meni Boga.
And they glorified God on my behalf.
