1 In videl sem drugega mogočnega angela priti dol z neba, oblečenega z oblakom, in nad njegovo glavo je bila mavrica in njegov obraz je bil, kakor bi bil sonce in njegova stopala kakor ognjeni stebri.

And I saw a mighty agent coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud, and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire,

and having in his hand an opened book. And he placed his right foot upon the sea, and the left upon the earth.

And he cried out in a great voice as a lion roars. And when he cried out, the seven thunders uttered their voices.

And when the seven thunders uttered, I was going to write. And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up what the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.

5 In angel, ki sem ga videl stati na morju in na zemlji, je svojo roko vzdignil k nebu

And the agent whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth raised his right hand to heaven,

6 in prisegel pri njem, ki živi na veke vekov, ki je ustvaril nebo in stvari, ki so na njem in zemljo in stvari, ki so na njej in morje in stvari, ki so v njem, da naj ne bi bilo več časa, (aiōn g165)

and swore by him who lives into the ages of the ages, who created the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that time would be no more. (aiōn g165)

7 toda v dneh glasu sedmega angela, ko bo ta začel trobiti, naj bi se dokončala Božja skrivnost, kakor jo je razglasil svojim služabnikom prerokom.

But in the days of the voice of the seventh agent, when he is going to sound, even the mystery of God is finished, as he declared the good news to his bondmen the prophets.

8 In glas, ki sem ga slišal z neba, mi je ponovno spregovoril ter rekel: »Pojdi in vzemi majhno knjigo, ki je odprta v roki angela, ki stoji na morju in na zemlji.«

And the voice that I heard from heaven was again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the little book that has been opened in the hand of the agent who stands upon the sea and upon the earth.

9 In odšel sem k angelu ter mu rekel: »Daj mi majhno knjigo.« In rekel mi je: »Vzemi jo in jo pojej, in tvoj trebuh bo naredila grenek, toda v tvojih ustih bo sladka kakor med.«

And I went to the agent, telling him to give me the little book. And he says to me, Take and eat it. And it will make thy belly bitter, but it will be sweet as honey in thy mouth.

10 In iz angelove roke sem vzel majhno knjigo in jo pojedel in v mojih ustih je bila sladka kakor med in takoj, ko sem jo pojedel, je bil moj trebuh grenek.

And I took the book out of the agent's hand, and ate it. And it was sweet as honey in my mouth, and when I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter.

11 In rekel mi je: »Ponovno moraš prerokovati pred mnogimi ljudmi, narodi, jeziki in kralji.«

And he says to me, Thou must prophesy again against many peoples, and against nations and tongues and kings.
