Psalmi 95

1 Oh pridite, zapojmo Gospodu. Naredimo radosten glas skali rešitve naše duše.

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

2 Pridimo pred njegovo prisotnost z zahvaljevanjem in s psalmi mu naredimo radosten zvok.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

3 Kajti Gospod je velik Bog in velik Kralj nad vsemi bogovi.

For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 V njegovi roki so globoki kraji zemlje; tudi moč hribov je njegova.

In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

5 Morje je njegovo in on ga je naredil in njegove roke so oblikovale kopno zemljo.

The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

6 Oh pridite, naj obožujemo in se priklonimo; pokleknimo pred Gospodom, našim stvarnikom.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

7 Kajti on je naš Bog in mi smo ljudstvo njegovega pašnika in ovce njegove roke. Če boste danes zaslišali njegov glas,

For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if all of you will hear his voice,

8 ne zakrknite svojega srca kakor z izzivanjem in kakor na dan preizkušnje v divjini,

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9 ko so me vaši očetje skušali, me preizkušali in gledali moje delo.

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

10 Dolgih štirideset let sem s tem rodom skupaj žaloval in rekel: »To je ljudstvo, ki se moti v svojem srcu in niso spoznali mojih poti, «

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

11 ki sem jim v svojem besu prisegel, da ne bodo vstopili v moj počitek.

Unto whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
