Psalmi 89
1 O Gospodovih milostih bom prepeval na veke, s svojimi usti bom vsem rodovom razglašal tvojo zvestobo.
AN INSTRUCTION OF ETHAN THE EZRAHITE. Of the kind acts of YHWH, I sing for all time, From generation to generation I make known Your faithfulness with my mouth,
2 Kajti rekel sem: »Usmiljenje bo zgrajeno na veke, svojo zvestobo boš utrdil v samih nebesih.«
For I said, “Kindness is built for all time, The heavens! You establish Your faithfulness in them.”
3 S svojim izbranim sem sklenil zavezo, prisegel sem Davidu, svojemu služabniku:
I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David:
4 »Tvoje seme bom utrdil na veke in tvoj prestol zgradil za vse rodove.« (Sela)
“Even for all time I establish your seed, And have built your throne to generation and generation.” (Selah)
5 Nebesa bodo hvalila tvoje čudeže, oh Gospod, tudi tvojo zvestobo v skupnosti svetih.
And the heavens confess Your wonders, O YHWH, Your faithfulness [is] also in an assembly of holy ones.
6 Kajti kdo na nebu bi bil lahko primerjan z Gospodom? Kdo izmed sinov mogočnega bi bil lahko podoben Gospodu?
For who in the sky, compares himself to YHWH? [Who] is like to YHWH among sons of the mighty?
7 Boga se je silno bati v zboru svetih in spoštujejo ga vsi tisti, ki so okoli njega.
God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.
8 Oh Gospod Bog nad bojevniki, kdo je močan Gospod, podoben tebi ali tvoji zvestobi naokoli tebe?
O YHWH, God of Hosts, Who [is] like You—a strong YAH? And Your faithfulness [is] around You.
9 Ti vladaš besnenju morja; ko njegovi valovi vstanejo, jih ti umirjaš.
You [are] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows You restrain them.
10 Zlomil si Rahaba na koščke, kakor nekoga, ki je umorjen, s svojim močnim laktom si razkropil svoje sovražnike.
You have bruised Rahab, as one wounded. You have scattered Your enemies with the arm of Your strength.
11 Nebo je tvoje, tudi zemlja je tvoja; kar se tiče zemeljskega [kroga] in njegove polnosti, si jih ti utemeljil.
The heavens [are] Yours, The earth [is] also Yours, The habitable world and its fullness, You have founded them.
12 Sever in jug, ti si ju ustvaril; Tabor in Hermon se bosta veselila v tvojem imenu.
North and south You have appointed them, Tabor and Hermon sing in Your Name.
13 Ti imaš mogočen laket, močna je tvoja roka in visoka je tvoja desnica.
You have an arm with might, Strong is Your hand—high Your right hand.
14 Pravičnost in sodba sta prebivališče tvojega prestola, usmiljenje in resnica bosta šla pred tvojim obličjem.
Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Your throne, Kindness and truth go before Your face.
15 Blagoslovljeno je ljudstvo, ki pozna radosten zvok. Hodili bodo, oh Gospod, v svetlobi tvojega obličja.
O the blessedness of the people knowing the shout, O YHWH, they habitually walk in the light of Your face.
16 V tvojem imenu se bodo veselili ves dan in v tvoji pravičnosti bodo povišani.
They rejoice in Your Name all the day, And they are exalted in Your righteousness,
17 Kajti ti si slava njihove moči in v tvoji naklonjenosti bo naš rog povišan.
For You [are] the beauty of their strength, And in Your good will is our horn exalted,
18 Kajti Gospod je naša obramba in Sveti Izraelov je naš kralj.
For our shield [is] of YHWH, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19 Potem svojemu svetemu spregovoriš v videnju in rečeš: »Položil sem pomoč na nekoga, ki je mogočen, povišal sem enega izbranega izmed ljudstva.
Then You have spoken in vision, To Your saint, indeed, You say, I have placed help on a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,
20 Našel sem Davida, svojega služabnika; s svojim svetim oljem sem ga mazilil.
I have found My servant David, With My holy oil I have anointed him.
21 Z njim bo moja roka utrjena; tudi moj laket ga bo krepil.
With whom My hand is established, My arm also strengthens him.
22 Sovražnik se ne bo maščeval nad njim niti ga sin zlobnosti [ne bo] prizadel.
An enemy does not exact on him, And a son of perverseness does not afflict him.
23 Njegove sovražnike bom premagal pred njegovim obrazom in nadlegoval tiste, ki ga sovražijo.
And I have beaten down his adversaries before him, And I plague those hating him,
24 Toda z njim bosta moja zvestoba in moje usmiljenje in v mojem imenu bo povišan njegov rog.
And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My Name is his horn exalted.
25 Njegovo roko bom postavil tudi na morje in njegovo desnico na reke.
And I have set his hand on the sea, And his right hand on the rivers.
26 Klical bo k meni: ›Ti si moj oče, moj Bog in skala rešitve moje duše.‹
He proclaims to Me: “You [are] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.”
27 Prav tako mu bom dal svojega prvorojenca, višje kakor kralje zemlje.
I also appoint him firstborn, Highest of the kings of the earth.
28 Svoje usmiljenje bom zanj ohranil na vékomaj in moja zaveza bo trdno stala z njim.
For all time I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] steadfast with him.
29 Tudi njegovemu semenu bom storil, da ostane na veke in njegov prestol kakor nebeški dnevi.
And I have set his seed forever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 Če njegovi otroci zapustijo mojo postavo in ne hodijo po mojih sodbah,
If his sons forsake My law, And do not walk in My judgments;
31 če prelomijo moje zakone in se ne držijo mojih zapovedi,
If they defile My statutes, And do not keep My commands,
32 potem bom s palico obiskal njihov prestopek in njihovo krivičnost z bičanjem.
I have looked after their transgression with a rod, And their iniquity with strokes,
33 Vendar pa svoje ljubeče skrbnosti ne bom popolnoma odvzel od njega niti svoji zvestobi [ne bom] pustil, da se izneveri.
And I do not break My kindness from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.
34 Svoje zaveze ne bom prelomil niti predrugačil stvari, ki je odšla iz mojih ustnic.
I do not profane My covenant, And I do not change that which is going forth from My lips.
35 Enkrat sem prisegel pri svoji svetosti, da Davidu ne bom lagal.
Once I have sworn by My holiness, I do not lie to David,
36 Njegovo seme bo ostalo na veke in njegov prestol kakor sonce pred menoj.
His seed is for all time, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,
37 Kakor luna bo utrjen na veke in kakor zvesta priča na nebu.« (Sela)
It is established as the moon for all time, And the witness in the sky is steadfast. (Selah)
38 Toda ti si zavrgel in prezrl, ogorčen si bil s svojim maziljencem.
And You, You have cast off, and reject, You have shown Yourself angry with Your anointed,
39 Razveljavil si zavezo svojega služabnika. Njegovo krono si oskrunil in jo vrgel na tla.
Have rejected the covenant of Your servant, You have defiled his crown to the earth,
40 Porušil si vse njegove ograje; njegova oporišča si privedel do propada.
You have broken down all his hedges, You have made his fortifications a ruin.
41 Vsi mimoidoči ga plenijo. Graja je svojim sosedom.
Everyone passing by the way has spoiled him, He has been a reproach to his neighbors,
42 Dvignil si desnico njegovih nasprotnikov; vsem njegovim sovražnikom si storil, da se veselijo.
You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries, You have caused all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Obrnil si tudi ostrino njegovega meča in ga nisi naredil, da se zoperstavi v bitki.
Also—You turn back the sharpness of his sword, And have not established him in battle,
44 Njegovi slavi si storil, da preneha in njegov prestol si vrgel na tla.
Have caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And have cast down his throne to the earth.
45 Dneve njegove mladosti si skrajšal. Pokril si ga s sramoto. (Sela)
You have shortened the days of his youth, Have covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)
46 Doklej, Gospod? Se hočeš skrivati na veke? Bo tvoj bes gorel kakor ogenj?
Until when, O YHWH, are You hidden? Does Your fury burn as fire forever?
47 Spomni se, kako kratek je moj čas. Zakaj si vse ljudi naredil zaman?
Remember how [short] my lifetime [is]. Why have You created in vain All the sons of men?
48 Kateri človek je, kdor živi in ne bo videl smrti? Ali bo svojo dušo osvobodil pred roko groba? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
Who [is] the man that lives, and does not see death? He delivers his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Gospod, kje so tvoje prejšnje ljubeče skrbnosti, katere v svoji resnici prisegaš Davidu?
Where [are] Your former kindnesses, O Lord, [Which] You have sworn to David in Your faithfulness?
50 Spomni se, Gospod, graje svojih služabnikov; kako v svojih prsih nosim grajo vseh mogočnih ljudi,
Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,
51 s čimer so grajali tvoji sovražniki, oh Gospod, s čimer so grajali stopinje tvojega maziljenca.
With which Your enemies reproached, O YHWH, With which they have reproached The steps of Your anointed.
52 Blagoslovljen bodi Gospod na vékomaj. Amen in Amen.
Blessed [is] YHWH for all time. Amen and amen!
