Psalmi 73
1 Resnično, Bog je dober do Izraela, torej tistim, ki so čistega srca.
A psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, to those with a pure heart.
2 Toda kar se mene tiče, so moja stopala skoraj odšla, moji koraki so malodane spodrsnili.
But as for me, my feet almost slipped; my feet almost slipped out from under me
3 Kajti bil sem nevoščljiv nad nespametnimi, ko sem videl uspevanje zlobnih.
because I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 Kajti v njihovi smrti ni vezi, vendar je njihova moč trdna.
For they have no pain until their death, but they are strong and well fed.
5 Niso v stiski, kakor drugi ljudje niti niso trpinčeni kakor drugi ljudje.
They are free from the burdens of other men; they are not afflicted like other men.
6 Zato jih ošabnost obdaja naokoli kakor veriga, nasilje jih pokriva kakor obleka.
Pride adorns them like a necklace around their neck; violence clothes them like a robe.
7 Njihove oči izstopajo z mastnostjo. Imajo več, kot si lahko želi srce.
Out of such blindness comes sin; evil thoughts pass through their hearts.
8 Izprijeni so in glede zatiranja govorijo zlobno, govorijo vzvišeno.
They mock and speak wickedly; in their arrogance they threaten oppression.
9 Svoja usta postavljajo zoper nebesa in njihov jezik hodi po zemlji.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongues march through the earth.
10 Zato se njegovo ljudstvo vrača sèm in iztisnjene so jim polne čaše vode.
Therefore his people turn to them and abundant waters are drained out.
11 Pravijo: »Kako Bog ve? In ali je znanje v Najvišjem?«
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge with the Most High?”
12 Glej, to so brezbožni, ki uspevajo v svetu, povečujejo se v bogastvih.
Take notice: these people are wicked; they are always carefree, becoming richer and richer.
13 Resnično sem zaman očistil svoje srce in svoje roke umil v nedolžnosti.
Surely it is in vain that I have guarded my heart and washed my hands in innocence.
14 Kajti ves dan sem bil trpinčen in kaznovan vsako jutro.
For all the day long I have been afflicted and disciplined every morning.
15 Če rečem: »Govoril bom na ta način, « glej, bi se pregrešil zoper rod tvojih otrok.
If I had said, “I will say these things,” then I would have betrayed this generation of your children.
16 Ko sem premišljeval, da to spoznam, je bilo zame preveč boleče,
Though I tried to understand these things, it was too difficult for me.
17 dokler nisem odšel v Božje svetišče, potem sem razumel njihov konec.
Then I went into God's sanctuary and came to understand their fate.
18 Zagotovo si jih postavil na spolzke kraje, podiraš jih v uničenje.
Surely you put them in slippery places; you bring them down to ruin.
19 Kako so v hipu privedeni v opustošenje! Popolnoma so použiti s strahotami.
How they become a wilderness in a moment! They come to an end and are finished in awful terrors.
20 Kakor sanje, ko se nekdo zbudi; tako boš, oh Gospod, ko se zbudiš, preziral njihovo podobo.
They are like a dream after one wakes up; Lord, when you arise, you will think nothing of those dreams.
21 Tako je bilo moje srce užaloščeno in v svoji notranjosti sem bil zboden.
For my heart was grieved, and I was deeply wounded.
22 Tako nespameten sem bil in neveden. Pred teboj sem bil kakor žival.
I was ignorant and lacked insight; I was like a senseless animal before you.
23 Kljub temu sem nenehno s teboj. Prijel si me za mojo desnico.
Yet I am always with you; you hold my right hand.
24 Usmerjal me boš s svojim nasvetom in potem me sprejmi v slavo.
You will guide me with your advice and afterward receive me to glory.
25 Koga imam v nebesih razen tebe? In nikogar ni na zemlji, ki si ga želim poleg tebe.
Whom have I in heaven but you? There is no one on earth that I desire but you.
26 Moje meso in moje srce odpovedujeta, toda Bog je moč mojega srca in moj delež na veke.
My flesh and my heart grow weak, but God is the strength of my heart forever.
27 Kajti glej, tisti, ki so daleč od tebe, se bodo pogubili. Uničil si vse tiste, ki z vlačuganjem gredo od tebe.
Those who are far from you will perish; you will destroy all those who are unfaithful to you.
28 Toda zame je dobro, da se približam Bogu. Svoje trdno upanje sem položil v Gospoda Boga, da bom lahko oznanjal vsa tvoja dela.
But as for me, all I need to do is to approach God. I have made the Lord Yahweh my refuge. I will declare all your deeds.
