Psalmi 68
1 Naj vstane Bog, naj bodo njegovi sovražniki razkropljeni. Naj tudi tisti, ki ga sovražijo, bežijo pred njim.
Let God arise! Let his enemies be scattered! Let them who hate him also flee before him.
2 Kakor je pregnan dim, tako jih preženi. Kakor se vosek stopi pred ognjem, tako naj bodo zlobni pogubljeni pred prisotnostjo Boga.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 Toda pravični naj bodo veseli, naj se veselijo pred Bogom. Da, naj se silno veselijo.
But let the upright be glad. Let them rejoice before God. Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
4 Prepevajte Bogu, prepevajte hvalnice njegovemu imenu. Povzdigujte njega, ki jaha po nebesih s svojim imenom Jah in se veselite pred njim.
Sing to God! Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to his name! Extol him who rides on the clouds: to Yah, his name! Rejoice before him!
5 Oče osirotelim in sodnik vdovam je Bog v svojem svetem prebivališču.
A father to orphans, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.

'Adonay [Lord] announced the word. The ones who proclaim it are a great company.

15 Božja gora je kakor bašánska gora, visoka gora kakor bašánska gora.
The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains. The mountains of Bashan are rugged.
16 Zakaj poskakujete, ve visoke gore? To je gora, na kateri želi prebivati Bog; da, Gospod bo na njej prebival na veke.
Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, Adonai will dwell there forever.

The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. 'Adonay [Lord] is among them, from Sinai [Thorn], into the sanctuary.

You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among men, yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah God might dwell there.

God is to us a God of deliverance. To Adonai, the 'Adonay [Yahweh the Lord], belongs escape from death.

That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies.”

They have seen your processions, God, even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.

28 Tvoj Bog je zapovedal tvojo moč. Ojačaj, oh Bog, to, kar si izvršil za nas.
Your God has enjoined your strength. Strengthen, God, that which you have done for us.
29 Zaradi tvojega templja pri Jeruzalemu ti bodo kralji prinašali darila.
Because of your temple at Jerusalem [City of peace], kings shall bring presents to you.
30 Oštej skupino suličarjev, množico bikov s teleti ljudstva, dokler vsakdo sebe ne podredi s koščki srebra. Razkropi ljudstvo, ki se razveseljuje v vojni.
Rebuke the wild animal of the reeds, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples. Being humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations that delight in war.
31 Princi bodo prišli iz Egipta, Etiopija bo svoje roke kmalu iztegnila k Bogu.
Princes shall come out of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Ethiopia shall hurry to stretch out her hands to God.
32 Prepevajte Bogu, ve, zemeljska kraljestva, oh prepevajte hvalnice Gospodu, (Sela)
Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth! Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to Adonai! (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
33 Njemu, ki jaha po nebes nebesih, ki so bila od davnine; glej, poslal je svoj glas in to mogočen glas.
To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old; behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.
34 Moč pripišite Bogu. Njegova odličnost je nad Izraelom in njegova moč je v oblakih.
Ascribe strength to God! His excellency is over Israel [God prevails], his strength is in the skies.
35 Oh Bog, ti si strašen iz svojih svetih prostorov. Izraelov Bog je ta, ki daje svojemu ljudstvu moč in oblast. Blagoslovljen bodi Bog.
You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel [God prevails] gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God!
