Psalmi 60
1 Oh Bog, zavrgel si nas, razkropil si nas, razžaljen si bil; oh, ponovno se obrni k nam.

You, God, have rejected us! You have broken us; you have been angry with us; but now you have to welcome us back!
2 Storil si, da zemlja trepeta, zlomil si jo; zaceli njene vrzeli, kajti trese se.
You have sent earthquakes on our land and split it apart. Now heal the cracks, for the land is still having tremors.
3 Svojemu ljudstvu si pokazal težke stvari. Storil si nam, da pijemo vino osuplosti.
You have been very hard on your people; you gave us wine that made us stagger around.
4 Tem, ki se te bojijo, si dal prapor, da bi bil ta lahko dvignjen zaradi resnice. (Sela)
But you have given those who respect you the banner of truth to unfurl and rally around. (Selah)
5 Da bodo tvoji ljubljeni lahko osvobojeni, reši s svojo desnico in me usliši.
Rescue those you love! Answer us, and save us by your power!
6 Bog je spregovoril v svoji svetosti: »Veselil se bom, razdelil bom Sihem in odmeril Sukótsko dolino.
God has spoken from his Temple: “Triumphantly I divide up Shechem, and portion out the Valley of Succoth.
7 Gileád je moj in Manáse je moj; tudi Efrájim je moč moje glave, Juda je moj postavodajalec,
Both Gilead and Manasseh belong to me. Ephraim is my helmet, and Judah is my scepter.
8 Moáb je moj lonec za pranje, nad Edóm bom vrgel svoj čevelj; Filisteja zmaguj zaradi mene.«
I will treat Moab as my washbasin; I will place my sandal on Edom; I will shout in triumph over Philistia.”
9 Kdo me bo privedel v utrjeno mesto? Kdo me bo vodil v Edóm?
Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me into Edom?
10 Mar ne ti, oh Bog, ki si nas zavrgel? In ti, oh Bog, ki nisi odšel z našimi vojskami?
Have you rejected us, God? Won't you lead our armies?
11 Daj nam pomoč iz stiske, kajti prazna je človeška pomoč.
Please give us help against our enemies, for human help is worthless.
12 Zaradi Boga bomo delali hrabro, kajti on je ta, ki bo pomendral naše sovražnike.
Our strength is in God, and he will crush our enemies.
