Psalmi 54

1 Reši me, oh Bog, po svojem imenu in sodi me s svojo močjo.

To the Chief Musician: with Stringed Instruments. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. When the Ziphites came and said unto Saul, Is not, David, hiding himself, with us? O God! by thine own Name, save me, And, by thine own strength, wilt thou vindicate me?

2 Usliši mojo molitev, oh Bog, pazljivo prisluhni besedam mojih ust.

O God! Hear my prayer, Give ear to the sayings of my mouth;

3 Kajti zoper mene so vstali tujci in zatiralci strežejo po moji duši; pred seboj si niso postavili Boga. (Sela)

For, aliens, have risen up against me, And, men of violence, have sought my life, They have not set God before them. (Selah)

4 Glej, Bog je moj pomočnik. Gospod je s tistimi, ki podpirajo mojo dušo.

Lo! God, is bringing me help, My Lord, is with the upholders of my life;

5 Mojim sovražnikom bo povrnil zlo, odreži jih v svoji resnici.

Let him turn back the mischief upon mine adversaries, In thy faithfulness, destroy them!

6 Velikodušno ti bom daroval, hvalil bom tvoje ime, oh Gospod, kajti to je dobro.

With a freewill-offering, will I sacrifice unto thee, I will praise thy Name, O Yahweh, for it is good;

7 Kajti osvobodil me je iz vseh težav in moje oko je videlo njegovo željo na mojih sovražnikih.

For, out of all distress, hath he rescued me, —And, upon my foes, hath, mine own eye, looked.
