Psalmi 47

1 Oh ploskajte [s] svojimi rokami, vsa ljudstva, vzklikajte Bogu z glasom zmagoslavja.

For the leader. Of the Korahites. A psalm. Clap your hands, all you peoples: shout to God in ringing cries.

2 Kajti Gospod, najvišji, je strašen, on je veliki Kralj nad vso zemljo.

For the Lord is most high and dread, a great king over all the earth.

3 Ljudstva bo podjarmil pod nas in narode pod naša stopala.

He subdues the peoples under us, the nations under our feet;

4 Izbral nam bo našo dediščino, odličnost Jakoba, ki ga je ljubil. (Sela)

he chooses our heritage for us, the glory of Jacob whom he loves. (Selah)

5 Bog se je dvignil z vzklikom, Gospod z zvokom šofarja.

God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

6 Prepevajte hvalnice Bogu, prepevajte hvalnice. Prepevajte hvalnice našemu Kralju, prepevajte hvalnice.

Sing praise to our God, sing praises: sing praise to our king, sing praises.

7 Kajti Bog je Kralj vse zemlje. Prepevajte hvalnice z razumevanjem.

For king of all earth is he: praise God in a skilful song.

8 Bog kraljuje nad pogani. Bog sedi na prestolu svoje svetosti.

God is king over all the nations, God sits on his holy throne.

9 Princi ljudstva so se zbrali skupaj, celó ljudstvo Abrahamovega Boga, kajti ščiti zemlje pripadajo Bogu, on je silno vzvišen.

Princes of nations gather with the people of Abraham’s God: for the shields of the earth are God’s; greatly exalted is he.
