Psalmi 27
1 Gospod je moja svetloba in rešitev moje duše, koga bi se bal? Gospod je moč mojega življenja; pred kom bom prestrašen?
Yahweh is the one who gives light [to my soul/spirit] and the one who saves me, so I do not [RHQ] need to be afraid of anyone. Yahweh is the one to whom I go for refuge, so I will never be afraid.
2 Kadar so prišli nadme zlobni, celó moji sovražniki in moji nasprotniki, da požro moje meso, so se spotaknili in padli.
When those who do evil come near me to attack me, they stumble and fall down.
3 Čeprav bi se zoper mene utaborila vojska, se moje srce ne bo balo. Četudi bi se zoper mene dvignila vojna, bom jaz pri tem zaupljiv.
[Even] if an army surrounds me, I [SYN] will not be afraid. [Even] if they attack me, I will trust [in God].
4 Eno stvar sem želel od Gospoda, to hočem doseči, da bom lahko prebival v Gospodovi hiši vse dni svojega življenja, da zrem Gospodovo lepoto in da poizvedujem v njegovem templju.
There is one thing that I have requested from Yahweh; this is the one thing that I desire: That I may worship in Yahweh’s house/temple every day of my life, and see that Yahweh is wonderful and inquire [what he wants me to do].
5 Kajti v času stiske me bo skril v svojem paviljonu. Skril me bo v skrivnosti svojega šotorskega svetišča, postavil me bo na skalo.
He will protect me when I have troubles; he will keep me safe in his Sacred Tent. He will set me safely (on a high rock/in a secure place).
6 Sedaj bo moja glava povzdignjena nad moje sovražnike okoli mene, zato bom v njegovem šotorskem svetišču daroval žrtvovanje radosti; pel bom, da, prepeval bom hvalnice Gospodu.
Then I will triumph over [IDM] my enemies. I will shout joyfully as I offer sacrifices in his Sacred Tent, and I will praise Yahweh as I sing.
7 Poslušaj, oh Gospod, ko kličem s svojim glasom. Tudi nad menoj imej usmiljenje in mi odgovori.
Yahweh, listen to me while I pray. Be kind to me and answer my prayer.
8 Ko praviš: »Iščite moje obličje, « ti je moje srce reklo: »Tvoje obličje, Gospod, bom iskal.«
I sensed that I heard you say, “Come and worship me [IDM],” so, Yahweh, I will worship you.
9 Ne skrivaj svojega obličja daleč od mene, svojega služabnika ne odslovi v jezi. Bil si moja pomoč; ne zapusti me niti se me ne odpovej, oh Bog rešitve moje duše.
I am your servant; Do not be angry with me and turn away from me. You have always helped me. You are the one who has saved me, so do not abandon me [now].
10 Ko me moj oče in moja mati zapustita, potem me bo Gospod pobral.
[Even] if my father and mother desert me, you will take care of [IDM] me.
11 Úči me svoje poti, oh Gospod in vodi me po ravni stezi, zaradi mojih sovražnikov.
Yahweh, teach me to do what you want me to do, and lead me on a safe path because I have many enemies.
12 Ne izroči me volji mojih sovražnikov, kajti krive priče so vstale zoper mene in takšni, ki izdihujejo krutost.
Do not allow my enemies to do to me what they want; they say many false things about me and [threaten to do] violent things to me.
13 Oslabel sem, razen če sem veroval, da vidim Gospodovo dobroto v deželi živih.
But I know that because I trust in you you will be good to me as long as I live.
14 Čakaj na Gospoda, bodi odločnega poguma in okrepil bo tvoje srce. Čakaj, pravim, na Gospoda.
So trust in Yahweh, [all of you]! Be strong and courageous, and wait expectantly for him [to help you]!
