Psalmi 26

1 Sodi me, oh Gospod, kajti hodil sem v svoji neokrnjenosti. Zaupal sem tudi v Gospoda, zato ne bom zdrsnil.

[A Psalm] of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; [therefore] I shall not slide.

2 Preišči me, oh Gospod in preizkusi me; preizkusi mojo notranjost in moje srce.

Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

3 Kajti tvoja ljubeča skrbnost je pred mojimi očmi in hodil sem v tvoji resnici.

For thy lovingkindness [is] before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

4 Nisem se usedal z domišljavimi osebami niti ne bom vstopal s hinavci.

I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

5 Sovražil sem skupnost hudodelcev in z zlobnimi ne bom sedel.

I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

6 V nedolžnosti si bom umival roke; tako bom hodil okoli tvojega oltarja, oh Gospod,

I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

7 da bom lahko razglašal z glasom zahvaljevanja in pripovedoval o vseh tvojih čudovitih delih.

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

8 Gospod, ljubil sem prebivališče tvoje hiše in kraj, kjer prebiva tvoja čast.

LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

9 Ne zbiraj moje duše z grešniki niti mojega življenja s krvoločnimi ljudmi.

Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

10 V čigar rokah je vragolija, njihova desnica pa je polna podkupnin.

In whose hands [is] mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

11 Toda kar se mene tiče, jaz bom hodil v svoji neokrnjenosti. Odkupi me in bodi mi usmiljen.

But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

12 Moje stopalo stoji na ravnem kraju. V skupnostih bom blagoslavljal Gospoda.

My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
