Psalmi 24

1 Zemlja je Gospodova in njena polnost, zemeljski [krog] in tisti, ki prebivajo na njem.

A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 Kajti utemeljil ga je na morjih in ga osnoval na tokovih.

For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Kdo se bo povzpel na Gospodovo goro? Ali kdo bo stal na njegovem svetem prostoru?

Who shall ascend into the mountain of the LORD? and who shall stand in His holy place?

4 Kdor ima čiste roke in nedolžno srce, kdor svoje duše ni povzdignil k praznim rečem niti ni varljivo prisegel.

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not taken My name in vain, and hath not sworn deceitfully.

5 Prejel bo blagoslov od Gospoda in pravičnost od Boga rešitve svoje duše.

He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 To je rod tistih, ki ga iščejo, ki iščejo tvoje obličje, oh Jakob. (Sela)

Such is the generation of them that seek after Him, that seek Thy face, even Jacob. (Selah)

7 Vzdignite svoje glave, oh ve velika vrata in bodite dvignjene, ve večna vrata, in vstopil bo Kralj slave.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors; that the King of glory may come in.

8 Kdo je to, Kralj slave? Gospod, močan in mogočen, Gospod, mogočen v bitki.

'Who is the King of glory?' 'The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.'

9 Vzdignite svoje glave, oh ve velika vrata, celó dvignite jih, ve večna vrata in vstopil bo Kralj slave.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates, yea, lift them up, ye everlasting doors; that the King of glory may come in.

10 Kdo je ta Kralj slave? Gospod nad bojevniki, on je Kralj slave. (Sela)

'Who then is the King of glory?' 'The LORD of hosts; He is the King of glory.' (Selah)
