Psalmi 18
1 Ljubil te bom, oh Gospod, moja moč.
To victorie, the word of the Lord to Dauid; which spak the wordis of this song, in the dai in which the Lord delyuerede hym fro the hond of alle hise enemyes, and fro the hond of Saul; and he seide: Lord, my strengthe, Y schal loue thee; the Lord is my stidfastnesse, and my refuyt, and mi deliuerere.
2 Gospod je moja skala, moja trdnjava in moj osvoboditelj, moj Bog, moja moč, v katero bom zaupal, moj ščit in rog rešitve moje duše in moj visoki stolp.
Mi God is myn helpere; and Y schal hope in to hym. My defendere, and the horn of myn helthe; and myn vptakere.
3 Klical bom h Gospodu, ki je vreden, da je hvaljen. Tako bom rešen pred svojimi sovražniki.
I schal preise, and ynwardli clepe the Lord; and Y schal be saaf fro myn enemyes.
4 Obdale so me bridkosti smrti in poplave brezbožnih ljudi so me prestrašile.
The sorewis of deth cumpassiden me; and the strondis of wickidnesse disturbliden me.
The sorewis of helle cumpassiden me; the snaris of deeth `bifor ocupieden me. (Sheol h7585)
6 V svoji stiski sem klical h Gospodu in jokal k svojemu Bogu. Iz svojega templja je slišal moj glas in moj jok je prišel predenj, celó v njegova ušesa.
In my tribulacioun Y inwardli clepide the Lord; and Y criede to my God. And he herde my vois fro his hooli temple; and my cry in his siyt entride in to hise eeris.
7 Potem se je zemlja stresla in zatrepetala, tudi temelji gora so se premaknili in bili streseni, ker je bil ogorčen.
The erthe was mouede togidere, and tremblede togidere; the foundementis of hillis weren troblid togidere, and weren moued togidere; for he was wrooth to hem.
8 Iz njegovih nosnic je izšel dim in ogenj iz njegovih ust je požiral. Ogorki so bili prižgani z njim.
Smoke stiede in the ire of hym, and fier brente out fro his face; coolis weren kyndlid of hym.
9 Uklonil je tudi nebo in prišel dol. Tema je bila pod njegovimi stopali.
He bowide doun heuenes, and cam doun; and derknesse was vndur hise feet.
10 Jezdil je na kerubu in letel. Da, letel je na perutih vetra.
And he stiede on cherubym, and flei; he fley ouer the pennes of wyndis.
11 Temo je naredil [za] svoj skriti kraj, njegov paviljon okoli njega so bile temne vode in gosti oblaki neba.
And he settide derknesses his hidyng place, his tabernacle `in his cumpas; derk water was in the cloudes of the lowere eir.
12 Ob sijaju, ki je bil pred njim, so šli mimo njegovi gosti oblaki, zrna toče in ognjeno oglje.
Ful cleer cloudis passiden in his siyt; hail and the coolis of fier.
13 Gospod je tudi zagrmel v nebesih in Najvišji je dal svoj glas, zrna toče in ognjeno oglje.
And the Lord thundrid fro heuene; and the hiyeste yaf his vois, hail and the coolis of fier `camen doun.
14 Da, poslal je svoje puščice in jih razkropil in izstrelil bliske ter jih porazil.
And he sente hise arowis, and distriede tho men; he multipliede leytis, and disturblide tho men.
15 Potem so bila vidna rečna korita in temelji zemeljskega [kroga] so bili odkriti ob tvojem oštevanju, oh Gospod, ob pišu diha iz tvojih nosnic.
And the wellis of watris apperiden; and the foundementis of the erthe weren schewid. Lord, of thi blamyng; of the brething of the spirit of thin ire.
16 Poslal je od zgoraj, me vzel, me potegnil iz mnogih voda.
He sente fro the hiyeste place, and took me; and he took me fro many watris.
17 Osvobodil me je pred mojim močnim sovražnikom in pred temi, ki so me sovražili, kajti zame so bili premočni.
He delyuerede me fro my strongeste enemyes; and fro hem that hatiden me, fro thei weren coumfortid on me.
18 Ovirali so me na dan moje katastrofe. Toda Gospod je bil moja opora.
Thei camen bifor me in the dai of my turment; and the Lord was maad my defendere.
19 Privedel me je tudi na velik kraj, osvobodil me je, ker se je razveseljeval v meni.
And he ledde out me in to breede; he maad me saaf, for he wolde me.
20 Gospod me je nagradil glede na mojo pravičnost, glede na čistost mojih rok mi je poplačal.
And the Lord schal yelde to me bi my riytfulnesse; and he schal yelde to me bi the clennesse of myn hondis.
21 Kajti obdržal sem Gospodove poti in se nisem zlobno oddvojil od svojega Boga.
For Y kepte the weies of the Lord; and Y dide not vnfeithfuli fro my God.
22 Kajti vse njegove sodbe so bile pred menoj in njegovih zakonov nisem odvrnil od sebe.
For alle hise domes ben in my siyt; and Y puttide not awei fro me hise riytfulnessis.
23 Pred njim sem bil tudi pošten in se varoval pred svojo krivičnostjo.
And Y schal be vnwemmed with hym; and Y schal kepe me fro my wickidnesse.
24 Zaradi tega mi je Gospod poplačal glede na mojo pravičnost, glede na čistost mojih rok v svojem pogledu.
And the Lord schal yelde to me bi my riytfulnesse; and bi the clennesse of myn hondis in the siyt of hise iyen.
25 Z usmiljenim se boš pokazal usmiljenega, s poštenim človekom se boš pokazal poštenega,
With the hooli, thou schalt be hooli; and with `a man innocent, thou schalt be innocent.
26 s čistim se boš pokazal čistega in s kljubovalnim se boš pokazal kljubovalnega.
And with a chosun man, thou schalt be chosun; and with a weiward man, thou schalt be weiward.
27 Kajti rešil boš stiskano ljudstvo, toda ponižal boš vzvišene poglede.
For thou schalt make saaf a meke puple; and thou schalt make meke the iyen of proude men.
28 Kajti prižgal boš mojo svečo. Gospod, moj Bog, bo razsvetlil mojo temo.
For thou, Lord, liytnest my lanterne; my God, liytne thou my derknessis.
29 Kajti s teboj sem tekel skozi krdelo in s svojim Bogom sem preskočil zid.
For bi thee Y schal be delyuered fro temptacioun; and in my God Y schal `go ouer the wal.
30 Glede Boga, njegova pot je popolna. Gospodova beseda je preizkušena; on je ščit vsem, ki zaupajo vanj.
Mi God, his weie is vndefoulid, the speches of the Lord ben examyned bi fier; he is defendere of alle men hopynge in hym.
31 Kajti kdo je Bog, razen Gospoda? Ali kdo je skala, razen našega Boga?
For whi, who is God out takun the Lord? ethir who is God outakun oure God?
32 Bog je ta, ki me opasuje z močjo in moje poti dela popolne.
God that hath gird me with vertu; and hath set my weie vnwemmed.
33 Moja stopala dela podobna stopalom košute in me postavlja na moja visoka mesta.
Which made perfit my feet as of hertis; and ordeynynge me on hiye thingis.
34 Úči moje roke za vojno, tako da je jeklen lok zlomljen z mojimi lakti.
Which techith myn hondis to batel; and thou hast set myn armys as a brasun bouwe.
35 Dal si mi tudi ščit tvoje rešitve duše in tvoja desnica me podpira in tvoja blagost me je naredila velikega.
And thou hast youe to me the kyueryng of thin helthe; and thi riythond hath vptake me. And thi chastisyng amendide me in to the ende; and thilke chastisyng of thee schal teche me.
36 Pod menoj si razširil moje korake, da moja stopala niso zdrsnila.
Thou alargidist my paaces vndur me; and my steppis ben not maad vnstidefast.
37 Zasledoval sem svoje sovražnike in jih dohitevam. Niti se nisem ponovno obrnil, dokler niso bili uničeni.
Y schal pursue myn enemyes, and Y schal take hem; and Y schal not turne til thei failen.
38 Ranil sem jih, da niso mogli vstati. Padli so pod moja stopala.
I schal al to-breke hem, and thei schulen not mowe stonde; thei schulen falle vndur my feet.
39 Kajti opasal si me z močjo za boj. Podjarmil si mi tiste, ki vstajajo zoper mene.
And thou hast gird me with vertu to batel; and thou hast `supplauntid, ether disseyued, vndur me men risynge ayens me.
40 Prav tako si mi dal vratove mojih sovražnikov, da lahko uničim te, ki me sovražijo.
And thou hast youe myn enemyes abac to me; and thou hast distried `men hatynge me.
41 Vpili so, toda nikogar ni bilo, da jih reši, celó h Gospodu, toda ni jim odgovoril.
Thei crieden, and noon was that maad hem saaf; `thei crieden to the Lord, and he herde not hem.
42 Potem sem jih mlatil, majhne kakor prah pred vetrom. Spodil sem jih kakor nesnago na ulicah.
And Y schal al to-breke hem, as dust bifor the face of wynd; Y schal do hem awei, as the cley of stretis.
43 Osvobodil si me pred človeškimi prepiri in me naredil za poglavarja poganom. Ljudstvo, ki ga nisem poznal, mi bo služilo.
Thou schalt delyuere me fro ayenseiyngis of the puple; thou schalt sette me in to the heed of folkis.
44 Takoj, ko bodo zaslišali o meni, me bodo ubogali. Tujci se mi bodo podredili.
The puple, which Y knewe not, seruede me; in the herynge of eere it obeiede to me.
45 Tujci bodo bledeli in prestrašeni bodo iz svojih ograjenih prostorov.
Alien sones lieden to me, alien sones wexiden elde; and crokiden fro thi pathis.
46 Gospod živi in blagoslovljena bodi moja skala in vzvišen naj bo Bog rešitve moje duše.
The Lord lyueth, and my God be blessid; and the God of myn helthe be enhaunsid.
47 To je Bog, ki me maščuje in ljudstva podjarmlja pod menoj.
God, that yauest veniaunces to me, and makist suget puplis vndur me; my delyuerere fro my wrathful enemyes.
48 Osvobaja me pred mojimi sovražniki. Da, dviguješ me nad tiste, ki se dvigujejo zoper mene. Osvobodil si me pred nasilnežem.
And thou schalt enhaunse me fro hem, that risen ayens me; thou schalt delyuere me fro a wickid man.
49 Zatorej se ti bom zahvaljeval med pogani, oh Gospod in prepeval hvalnice tvojemu imenu.
Therfor, Lord, Y schal knouleche to thee among naciouns; and Y schal seie salm to thi name.
50 Svojemu kralju on daje veliko osvoboditev in izkazuje usmiljenje svojemu maziljencu Davidu in njegovemu semenu na vékomaj.
Magnyfiynge the helthis of his kyng; and doynge merci to his crist Dauid, and to his seed til in to the world.
