Psalmi 149

1 Hvalite Gospoda. Zapojte Gospodu novo pesem in njegovo hvalo v skupnosti svetih.

Praise ye Yah, Sing to Yahweh a song that is new, his praise in the convocation of the men of lovingkindness.

2 Naj se Izrael veseli v njem, ki ga je naredil, naj bodo sionski otroci radostni v svojem Kralju.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him, Let the sons of Zion exult in their king;

3 Naj s plesom hvalijo njegovo ime; naj mu prepevajo hvalnice s tamburinom in harfo.

Let them praise his Name in the dance, with timbrel and lyre, Let them make music to him.

4 Kajti Gospod se veseli v svojem ljudstvu; krotke bo okrasil z rešitvijo duše.

For Yahweh is taking pleasure in his people, He will beautify humbled ones with victory.

5 Naj bodo sveti radostni v slavi, naj na glas prepevajo na svojih posteljah.

Let the men of lovingkindness exult as they glory, Let them shout aloud upon their beds:

6 Naj bodo na njihovih ustih visoke Božje hvalnice in v njihovi roki dvorezen meč,

The high songs of GOD be in their throat, and a two-edged sword in their hand:

7 da izvršijo maščevanje nad pogani in kaznovanja nad ljudstvi,

To execute an avenging among the nations, rebukes among the peoples:

8 da njihove kralje zvežejo z verigami in njihove plemiče z železnimi okovi,

To bind their kings with fetters, and their honoured ones with iron bands:

9 da nad njimi izvršijo napisano sodbo. To čast imajo vsi sveti. Hvalite Gospoda.

To execute upon them the sentence written, An honour, shall it be to all his men of lovingkindness. Praise ye Yah!
