Psalmi 132
1 Gospod, spomni se Davida in vseh njegovih stisk,
“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” O LORD! remember David, And all his affliction!
2 kako je prisegel Gospodu in se zaobljubil mogočnemu Jakobovemu Bogu:
How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 »Zagotovo ne bom prišel v šotorsko svetišče svoje hiše niti šel gor v svojo posteljo,
“I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,
4 svojim očem ne bom dal spanja ali dremanja svojim vekam,
I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,
5 dokler ne najdem kraja za Gospoda, prebivališča za mogočnega Jakobovega Boga.«
Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Glej, slišali smo o tem v Efráti, našli smo to na gozdnih poljih.
Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.
7 Šli bomo v njegova šotorska svetišča, oboževali bomo ob njegovi pručki.
Let us go into his habitation; Let us worship at his footstool!
8 Vstani, oh Gospod, v svoj počitek, ti in skrinja tvoje moči.
Arise, O LORD! into thy rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength!
9 Naj bodo tvoji duhovniki oblečeni s pravičnostjo in tvoji sveti naj vzklikajo od veselja.
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, And thy holy ones shout for joy!
10 Zaradi svojega služabnika Davida ne obrni obličja proč od svojega maziljenca.
For the sake of thy servant David, Reject not the prayer of thine anointed!
11 Gospod je Davidu prisegel z resnico; ne bo se odvrnil od nje: »Od sadu tvojega telesa bom postavil na tvoj prestol.
Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David, And he will not depart from it: “Of the fruit of thy body will I place upon the throne for thee.
12 Če se bodo tvoji otroci držali moje zaveze in mojega pričevanja, ki jih ga bom jaz učil, bodo tudi njihovi otroci sedeli na tvojem prestolu na vékomaj.«
If thy children keep my covenant, And my statutes, which I teach them, Their children also throughout all ages Shall sit upon thy throne.”
13 Kajti Gospod je izbral Sion; zaželel si ga je za svoje prebivališče.
For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it as his dwelling-place.
14 »To je moj počitek na veke; tu bom prebival, ker sem si ga zaželel.
“This is my resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.
15 Obilno bom blagoslavljal njegovo preskrbo, njegove uboge bom nasičeval s kruhom.
I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Prav tako bom njegove duhovnike oblekel z rešitvijo duš in njegovi sveti bodo glasno vzklikali od veselja.
I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her holy ones shall shout aloud for joy.
17 Tam bom storil Davidovemu rogu, da vzbrsti; odredil sem svetilko za svojega maziljenca.
There will I cause to spring forth a horn for David; I have prepared a light for mine anointed.
18 Njegove sovražnike bom oblekel s sramoto, toda na njem samem bo cvetela njegova krona.«
His enemies will I clothe with shame, And the crown shall glitter upon his head.”
