Psalmi 130

1 Iz globin sem klical k tebi, oh Gospod.

Yahweh, I have a lot of troubles/many difficulties, so I call out to you.

2 Gospod, usliši moj glas. Naj bodo tvoja ušesa pozorna na glas mojih ponižnih prošenj.

Yahweh, hear me, while I call out to you [SYN] to be merciful to me!

3 Če si boš ti, Gospod, zaznamoval krivičnosti, oh Gospod, kdo bo vzdržal?

Yahweh, if you kept a record of the sins [that we have committed], not one [of us] [RHQ] would escape from being condemned [and punished]

4 Toda s teboj je odpuščanje, da bi se te lahko bali.

But you forgive us, with the result that we greatly revere you.

5 Čakam na Gospoda, moja duša čaka in v njegovo besedo zaupam.

Yahweh has said [that he would help/rescue me]; I trust what he said, and I wait eagerly for him to do that.

6 Moja duša čaka na Gospoda bolj kakor tisti, ki stražijo na jutro, pravim, bolj kakor tisti, ki stražijo na jutro.

I wait for Yahweh [to help me] more than watchmen wait for the light to dawn; yes, I wait more eagerly than they do!

7 Naj Izrael upa v Gospoda, kajti z Gospodom je usmiljenje in z njim je obilna odkupitev.

You [my fellow] Israelis, confidently expect that Yahweh [will bless us]. [He will bless us] because he faithfully loves [us], and he is very willing to save/rescue [us].

8 On bo Izraela odkupil pred vsemi njegovimi krivičnostmi.

And he will save us Israeli [people] from [being punished for] all the sins that [we] have committed.
