Psalmi 128

1 Blagoslovljen je vsak, kdor se boji Gospoda, ki hodi po njegovih poteh.

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Happy is he who feareth the LORD, Who walketh in his ways!

2 Kajti jedel boš trud svojih rok, srečen boš in s teboj bo dobro.

Thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands; Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee!

3 Tvoja žena bo kakor rodovitna trta ob straneh tvoje hiše; tvoji otroci kakor oljčne sadike naokrog tvoje mize.

Thy wife shall be like a fruitful vine within thy house; Thy children like olive-branches round about thy table.

4 Glej, tako bo blagoslovljen mož, ki se boji Gospoda.

Behold! thus happy is the man who feareth the LORD!

5 Gospod naj te blagoslovi iz Siona in gledal boš dobro Jeruzalema vse dni svojega življenja.

Jehovah shall bless thee out of Zion, And thou shalt see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of thy life;

6 Da, videl boš svojih otrok otroke in mir nad Izraelom.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children. Peace be to Israel!
